Im achtzehnten Jahre des Königs Jerobeam ward Abija König in Juda

A LOS dieciocho años del rey Jeroboam, reinó Abías sobre Judá.

Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah.

und regierte drei Jahre lang zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Maacha, eine Tochter Uriels von Gibea. Und es war Krieg zwischen Abija und Jerobeam.

Y reinó tres años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Michâía hija de Uriel de Gabaa. Y hubo guerra entre Abías y Jeroboam.

Und Abija rüstete sich zum Krieg mit einem Heere von 400000 Kriegsleuten, auserlesener Mannschaft. Jerobeam aber rüstete sich, mit ihm zu streiten, mit 800000 Mann, auserlesenen, tapferen Leuten.

Entonces ordenó Abías batalla con un ejército de cuatrocientos mil hombres de guerra valerosos y escogidos: y Jeroboam ordenó batalla contra él con ochocientos mil hombres escogidos, fuertes y valerosos.

And Abijah set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour.

Und Abija stellte sich oben auf den Berg Zemaraim, welcher zu dem Gebirge Ephraim gehört, und rief: Höret mir zu, Jerobeam und du ganz Israel!

¿No sabéis vosotros, que Jehová Dios de Israel dió el reino á David sobre Israel para siempre, á él y á sus hijos en alianza de sal?

Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

Aber Jerobeam, der Sohn Nebats, der Knecht Salomos, des Sohnes Davids, erhob sich und ward von seinem Herrn abtrünnig.

Und es haben sich lose Leute, Kinder Belials, zu ihm geschlagen, die widersetzten sich Rehabeam, dem Sohne Salomos; denn Rehabeam war noch jung und zu furchtsam, um ihnen zu widerstehen.

Y se allegaron á él hombres vanos, hijos de iniquidad, y pudieron más que Roboam hijo de Salomón, porque Roboam era mozo y tierno de corazón, y no se defendió de ellos.

And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them.

Und nun, glaubt ihr, dem Reiche des HERRN widerstehen zu können, welches in der Hand der Söhne Davids ist, weil ihr ein großer Haufe seid und ihr bei euch die goldenen Kälber habt, welche euch Jerobeam zu Göttern gemacht hat?

Y ahora vosotros tratáis de fortificaros contra el reino de Jehová en mano de los hijos de David, porque sois muchos, y tenéis con vosotros los becerros de oro que Jeroboam os hizo por dioses.

And now ye think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and ye be a great multitude, and there are with you golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods.

Habt ihr nicht die Priester des HERRN, die Kinder Aarons, und die Leviten ausgestoßen und habt euch eigene Priester gemacht, wie die Völker der Länder? Wer irgend kommt, seine Hand zu füllen mit einem jungen Farren und sieben Widdern, der wird Priester derer, die doch nicht Götter sind!

¿No echasteis vosotros á los sacerdotes de Jehová, á los hijos de Aarón, y á los Levitas, y os habéis hecho sacerdotes á la manera de los pueblos de otras tierras, para que cualquiera venga á consagrarse con un becerro y siete carneros, y así sea sacerdote de los que no son dioses?

Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.

Haven’t you driven out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and made priests for yourselves according to the ways of the peoples of other lands? Whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams may be a priest of those who are no gods.

und zünden dem HERRN alle Morgen und alle Abend Brandopfer an, dazu das gute Räucherwerk, und besorgen die Zubereitung des Brotes auf dem reinen Tisch und den goldenen Leuchter mit seinen Lampen, daß sie alle Abend angezündet werden. Denn wir beobachten die Vorschriften des HERRN, unsres Gottes; ihr aber habt ihn verlassen!

Los cuales queman á Jehová los holocaustos cada mañana y cada tarde, y los perfumes aromáticos; y ponen los panes sobre la mesa limpia, y el candelero de oro con sus candilejas para que ardan cada tarde: porque nosotros guardamos la ordenanza de Jehová nuestro Dios; mas vosotros le habéis dejado.

Und siehe, mit uns an unserer Spitze ist Gott und seine Priester und die Lärmtrompeten, daß man wider euch Lärm blase. Ihr Kinder Israel, streitet nicht wider den HERRN, den Gott eurer Väter, denn es wird euch nicht gelingen!

Y he aquí Dios está con nosotros por cabeza, y sus sacerdotes con las trompetas del júbilo para que suenen contra vosotros. Oh hijos de Israel, no peleéis contra Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres, porque no os sucederá bien.

Aber Jerobeam hatte den Hinterhalt ausgesandt, sie zu umgehen, so daß er vor Juda stand, der Hinterhalt aber in ihrem Rücken.

also daß Abija mit seinem Volk ihnen eine große Niederlage zufügte, und aus Israel fielen der Erschlagenen 500000 auserlesene Mannschaft.

Also wurden die Kinder Israel zu jener Zeit gedemütigt, aber die Kinder Juda wurden gestärkt; denn sie verließen sich auf den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter.

Así fueron humillados los hijos de Israel en aquel tiempo: mas los hijos de Judá se fortificaron, porque se apoyaban en Jehová el Dios de sus padres.

so daß Jerobeam forthin nicht mehr zu Kräften kam, solange Abija lebte. Und der HERR schlug ihn, daß er starb.
