ALLORA lo Spirito di Dio fu sopra Azaria, figliuolo di Oded;

Y FUÉ el espíritu de Dios sobre Azarías hijo de Obed;

And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

ed egli uscì incontro ad Asa, e gli disse: Ascoltatemi, Asa, e tutto Giuda, e Beniamino; il Signore è stato con voi, mentre voi siete stati con lui; e se voi, lo ricercate, voi lo troverete; ma, se voi l'abbandonate, egli vi abbandonerà.

Y salió al encuentro á Asa, y díjole: Oidme, Asa, y todo Judá y Benjamín: Jehová es con vosotros, si vosotros fuereis con él: y si le buscareis, será hallado de vosotros; mas si le dejareis, él también os dejará.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

Or Israele è stato un lungo tempo senza il vero Dio, e senza sacerdote che insegnasse, e senza Legge.

Muchos días ha estado Israel sin verdadero Dios y sin sacerdote, y sin enseñador y sin ley:

Ma quando, essendo distretto, egli si è convertito al Signore Iddio d'Israele, e l'ha ricercato, egli l'ha trovato.

But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

Or in que' tempi non vi era pace alcuna per coloro che andavano e che venivano; perciocchè turbamenti erano fra tutti gli abitanti dei paesi.

En aquellos tiempos no hubo paz, ni para el que entraba, ni para el que salía, sino muchas aflicciones sobre todos los habitadores de las tierras.

And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

Ed una nazione era conquisa dall'altra nazione, ed una città dall'altra città; perciocchè Iddio li dibatteva con ogni sorte di tribolazioni.

Y la una gente destruía á la otra, y una ciudad á otra ciudad: porque Dios los conturbó con todas calamidades.

And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

They were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God troubled them with all adversity.

Ma voi, confortatevi, e le vostre mani non diventino rimesse; perciocchè vi è premio per l'opera vostra.

Esforzaos empero vosotros, y no desfallezcan vuestras manos; que salario hay para vuestra obra.

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

But you be strong! Don’t let your hands be slack, for your work will be rewarded.”

E, quando Asa ebbe udite queste parole, e la profezia del profeta Oded, egli si fortificò, e tolse via le abbominazioni da tutto il paese di Giuda, e di Beniamino, e dalle città ch'egli avea prese del monte di Efraim; e rinnovò l'Altar del Signore, ch'era davanti al portico del Signore.

Y como oyó Asa las palabras y profecía de Obed profeta, fué confortado, y quitó las abominaciones de toda la tierra de Judá y de Benjamín, y de las ciudades que él había tomado en el monte de Ephraim; y reparó el altar de Jehová que estaba delante del pórtico de Jehová.

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.

Poi raunò tutto Giuda, e Beniamino, e que' di Efraim, e di Manasse, e di Simeone, che dimoravano con loro; perciocchè molti si erano rivolti da parte sua, veggendo che il Signore Iddio suo era con lui.

Después hizo juntar á todo Judá y Benjamín, y con ellos los extranjeros de Ephraim, y de Manasés, y de Simeón: porque muchos de Israel se habían pasado á él, viendo que Jehová su Dios era con él.

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

Ed in quel dì sacrificarono al Signore, della preda che aveano menata, settecento buoi, e settemila pecore.

And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.

E convennero in questo patto di ricercare il Signore Iddio de' lor padri, con tutto il cuor loro, e con tutta l'anima loro;

That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

e giurarono al Signore con gran voce e grida di allegrezza, con trombe e corni.

Y juraron á Jehová con gran voz y júbilo, á son de trompetas y de bocinas:

Il re Asa rimosse ancora Maaca, sua madre, dal governo; perciocchè ella avea fatto un idolo per un bosco; ed Asa spezzò l'idolo di essa, e lo tritò, e l'arse nella valle di Chidron.

Y aun á Maachâ madre del rey Asa, él mismo la depuso de su dignidad, porque había hecho un ídolo en el bosque: y Asa deshizo su ídolo, y lo desmenuzó, y quemó en el torrente de Cedrón.

And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

Also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen mother, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; so Asa cut down her image, ground it into dust, and burned it at the brook Kidron.

Tuttavolta gli alti luoghi non furono tolti via d'Israele; ma pure il cuor di Asa fu intiero tutto il tempo della sua vita.

Ed egli portò nella Casa di Dio le cose che suo padre avea consacrate, e quelle ancora ch'egli stesso avea consacrate; argento, ed oro, e vasellamenti.

And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.

E non vi fu guerra alcuna fino all'anno trentacinquesimo del regno di Asa.

Y no hubo guerra hasta los treinta y cinco años del reinado de Asa.

And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.

There was no more war to the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.
