Alors l’Esprit de Dieu fut sur Azaria, fils d’Oded.

Y FUÉ el espíritu de Dios sobre Azarías hijo de Obed;

And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

Et il sortit au-devant d’Asa, et lui dit : Asa, et tout Juda et Benjamin, écoutez-moi ! L’Éternel est avec vous quand vous êtes avec lui. Si vous le cherchez, vous le trouverez ; mais si vous l’abandonnez, il vous abandonnera.

Y salió al encuentro á Asa, y díjole: Oidme, Asa, y todo Judá y Benjamín: Jehová es con vosotros, si vosotros fuereis con él: y si le buscareis, será hallado de vosotros; mas si le dejareis, él también os dejará.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

Pendant longtemps Israël a été sans vrai Dieu, sans sacrificateur qui enseignât, et sans loi ;

Muchos días ha estado Israel sin verdadero Dios y sin sacerdote, y sin enseñador y sin ley:

Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

Mais dans sa détresse il revint à l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël ; ils le recherchèrent, et il se laissa trouver d’eux.

Mas cuando en su tribulación se convirtieron á Jehová Dios de Israel, y le buscaron, él fué hallado de ellos.

But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

Dans ces temps-là, il n’y avait point de sécurité pour ceux qui allaient et venaient, car il y avait de grands troubles parmi tous les habitants du pays.

En aquellos tiempos no hubo paz, ni para el que entraba, ni para el que salía, sino muchas aflicciones sobre todos los habitadores de las tierras.

And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

Une nation était heurtée par une autre, et une ville par une autre ville ; car Dieu les agitait par toutes sortes d’angoisses.

Y la una gente destruía á la otra, y una ciudad á otra ciudad: porque Dios los conturbó con todas calamidades.

And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

They were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God troubled them with all adversity.

Mais vous, fortifiez-vous, et que vos mains ne soient point lâches ; car il y a un salaire pour ce que vous ferez.

Esforzaos empero vosotros, y no desfallezcan vuestras manos; que salario hay para vuestra obra.

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

But you be strong! Don’t let your hands be slack, for your work will be rewarded.”

Quand Asa eut entendu ces paroles et la prophétie d’Oded, le prophète, il se fortifia, et fit disparaître les abominations de tout le pays de Juda et de Benjamin, et des villes qu’il avait prises dans la montagne d’Éphraïm ; et il rétablit l’autel de l’Éternel, qui était devant le portique de l’Éternel.

Y como oyó Asa las palabras y profecía de Obed profeta, fué confortado, y quitó las abominaciones de toda la tierra de Judá y de Benjamín, y de las ciudades que él había tomado en el monte de Ephraim; y reparó el altar de Jehová que estaba delante del pórtico de Jehová.

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.

Puis il rassembla tout Juda et Benjamin, et ceux d’Éphraïm, de Manassé et de Siméon, qui demeuraient avec eux ; car un grand nombre de gens d’Israël passaient à lui, voyant que l’Éternel son Dieu était avec lui.

Después hizo juntar á todo Judá y Benjamín, y con ellos los extranjeros de Ephraim, y de Manasés, y de Simeón: porque muchos de Israel se habían pasado á él, viendo que Jehová su Dios era con él.

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

Ils s’assemblèrent donc à Jérusalem, le troisième mois de la quinzième année du règne d’Asa ;

En sorte qu’on devait faire mourir tous ceux qui ne rechercheraient pas l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël, tant les petits que les grands, tant les hommes que les femmes.

Y que cualquiera que no buscase á Jehová el Dios de Israel, muriese, grande ó pequeño, hombre ó mujer.

That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

Et ils prêtèrent serment à l’Éternel, à haute voix, avec acclamation, et au son des trompettes et des cors ;

Y juraron á Jehová con gran voz y júbilo, á son de trompetas y de bocinas:

And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.

Et tout Juda se réjouit de ce serment, parce qu’ils avaient juré de tout leur cœur, et qu’ils avaient recherché l’Éternel de leur plein gré, et qu’ils l’avaient trouvé. Et l’Éternel leur donna du repos de tous côtés.

Le roi Asa destitua même de son rang sa mère, Maaca, parce qu’elle avait fait une idole pour Ashéra. Asa abattit son idole, la mit en pièces, et la brûla au torrent de Cédron.

Y aun á Maachâ madre del rey Asa, él mismo la depuso de su dignidad, porque había hecho un ídolo en el bosque: y Asa deshizo su ídolo, y lo desmenuzó, y quemó en el torrente de Cedrón.

And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

Also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen mother, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; so Asa cut down her image, ground it into dust, and burned it at the brook Kidron.

Mais les hauts lieux ne furent point ôtés du milieu d’Israël ; néanmoins le cœur d’Asa fut intègre tout le long de ses jours.

Il remit dans la maison de Dieu les choses qui avaient été consacrées par son père, avec ce qu’il avait lui-même consacré, l’argent, l’or et les ustensiles.

Et il n’y eut point de guerre jusqu’à la trente-cinquième année du règne d’Asa.

And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.

There was no more war to the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.
