fue a encontrar a Asá, y le dijo: Escuchadme tú, oh Asá, y pueblos todos de Judá y de Benjamín: El Señor ha estado con vosotros en la batalla, porque vosotros habéis permanecido adictos a él. Si vosotros lo buscareis, lo hallaréis; mas si lo abandonareis, os abandonará.
Y salió al encuentro á Asa, y díjole: Oidme, Asa, y todo Judá y Benjamín: Jehová es con vosotros, si vosotros fuereis con él: y si le buscareis, será hallado de vosotros; mas si le dejareis, él también os dejará.
And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

Mucho tiempo pasará Israel sin el verdadero Dios, sin sacerdote, sin doctor y sin ley.

Durante aquel tiempo no habrá seguridad para ir y venir, sino que por todos lados asaltarán terrores a todos los habitantes de la tierra;

And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

porque una nación se levantará contra otra, y una ciudad contra otra ciudad, pues el Señor los conturbará con toda suerte de aflicciones.

And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

Vosotros entretanto armaos de valor, y no desmayen vuestros brazos; puesto que habéis de recibir la recompensa de vuestras fatigas.

Oyendo Asá las palabras y profecía de Azarías, hijo de Oded profeta, cobró aliento, y quitó los ídolos de todo el país de Judá y de Benjamín, y de las ciudades que habían conquistado en la montaña de Efraín; y dedicó o restableció el altar del Señor, que estaba colocado ante el pórtico del templo del Señor.
Y como oyó Asa las palabras y profecía de Obed profeta, fué confortado, y quitó las abominaciones de toda la tierra de Judá y de Benjamín, y de las ciudades que él había tomado en el monte de Ephraim; y reparó el altar de Jehová que estaba delante del pórtico de Jehová.
And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.

Y convocó a todo Judá y Benjamín, y con ellos a los forasteros de Efraín, y de Manasés, y de Simeón, pues se iban acogiendo a él muchos de Israel, viendo cuánto le favorecía el Señor su Dios.
Después hizo juntar á todo Judá y Benjamín, y con ellos los extranjeros de Ephraim, y de Manasés, y de Simeón: porque muchos de Israel se habían pasado á él, viendo que Jehová su Dios era con él.
