2 Crónicas 16

No trigésimo sexto ano do reinado de Asa em Judá, o rei Baasa, de Israel, declarou guerra contra Judá e construiu a fortaleza de Ramá, a fim de tomar conta da estrada que ia para Judá.

EN el año treinta y seis del reinado de Asa, subió Baasa rey de Israel contra Judá, y edificó á Rama, para no dejar salir ni entrar á ninguno al rey Asa, rey de Judá.

In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

In the thirty-sixth year of Asa’s reign, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

A resposta de Asa foi tirar a prata e o ouro do templo do Senhor e do próprio palácio, e enviar tudo ao rei Ben-Hadade, da Síria, em Damasco, com esta mensagem:

Entonces sacó Asa la plata y el oro de los tesoros de la casa de Jehová y de la casa real, y envió á Ben-adad rey de Siria, que estaba en Damasco, diciendo:

Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king’s house, and sent to Ben-hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

“Vamos renovar o acordo que havia entre o seu pai e o meu pai. De acordo com esse acordo, o seu país protegeria o nosso, e o nosso país protegeria o seu, em caso de necessidade. Estou enviando a prata e o ouro; com isso espero que você rompa o acordo que fez com Baasa, rei de Israel, de maneira que ele me deixe sossegado”.

Haya alianza entre mí y ti, como la hubo entre mi padre y tu padre; he aquí yo te he enviado plata y oro, para que vengas y deshagas la alianza que tienes con Baasa rey de Israel, á fin de que se retire de mí.

There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.

“Let there be a treaty between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent you silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”

Ben-Hadade concordou com a proposta do rei Asa e ordenou aos oficiais dos seus exércitos que atacassem Israel. Eles conquistaram as cidades de Ijom, Dã, Abel-Maim e todas as cidades de Naftali que serviam de armazéns.

Y consintió Ben-adad con el rey Asa, y envió los capitanes de sus ejércitos á la ciudades de Israel: y batieron á Ion, Dan, y Abel-maim, y las ciudades fuertes de Nephtalí.

And Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.

Ben Hadad listened to King Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they struck Ijon, Dan, Abel Maim, and all the storage cities of Naphtali.

Logo que Baasa, rei de Israel, ouviu dizer o que estava acontecendo, parou a construção de Ramá e abandonou o plano que tinha de atacar Judá.

Y oyendo esto Baasa, cesó de edificar á Rama, y dejó su obra.

And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.

When Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and let his work cease.

Então o rei Asa e o povo de Judá foram a Ramá e levaram as pedras de construção, as madeiras, e usaram esse material para construir Geba e Mispá.

Entonces el rey Asa tomó á todo Judá, y lleváronse de Rama la piedra y madera con que Baasa edificaba, y con ella edificó á Gibaa y Mizpa.

Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.

Naquele tempo o profeta Hanani veio a Asa, rei de Judá e disse: “Já que você confiou no rei da Síria em vez de confiar no Senhor, o seu Deus, o exército do rei da Síria escapou de suas mãos.

En aquel tiempo vino Hanani vidente á Asa rey de Judá, y díjole: Por cuanto te has apoyado en el rey de Siria, y no te apoyaste en Jehová tu Dios, por eso el ejército del rey de Siria ha escapado de tus manos.

And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.

At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on the LORD your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand.

Você não se lembra mais do que aconteceu aos etíopes e aos líbios com o seu enorme exército, com todos os seus carros e cavaleiros? Mas naquele tempo você confiava no Senhor, e ele entregou todos em suas mãos.

Los Etiopes y los Libios, ¿no eran un ejército numerosísimo, con carros y muy mucha gente de á caballo? con todo, porque te apoyaste en Jehová, él los entregó en tus manos.

Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.

Weren’t the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge army, with chariots and exceedingly many horsemen? Yet, because you relied on the LORD, he delivered them into your hand.

Pois os olhos do Senhor passam por toda a terra, para cima e para baixo, procurando pessoas que tenham um coração íntegro para com ele, de maneira que ele possa mostrar o seu grande poder para essas pessoas. Que tolo você tem sido! De agora em diante você terá guerras”.

Porque los ojos de Jehová contemplan toda la tierra, para corroborar á los que tienen corazón perfecto para con él. Locamente has hecho en esto; porque de aquí adelante habrá guerra contra ti.

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Asa ficou tão irado ao ouvir essas coisas que mandou o profeta para a prisão. E Asa maltratou uma parte do povo naquela ocasião.

No trigésimo nono ano de seu reinado, Asa foi atacado por uma doença nos pés. Embora a sua doença fosse séria, em vez de buscar a ajuda no Senhor, ele foi buscar a ajuda em médicos.

Y el año treinta y nueve de su reinado enfermó Asa de los pies para arriba, y en su enfermedad no buscó á Jehová, sino á los médicos.

And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

Assim, no quadragésimo primeiro ano do seu reinado, Asa morreu e foi enterrado com os seus antepassados.

Eles o enterraram no túmulo que ele havia mandado abrir na Cidade de Jerusalém. Ele foi colocado num leito perfumado com especiarias e vários perfumes, e queimaram grande quantidade de incenso em sua honra.

Y sepultáronlo en sus sepulcros que él había hecho para sí en la ciudad de David; Y pusiéronlo en una litera, la cual hinchieron de aromas y diversas materias odoríferas, preparadas por obra de perfumadores; é hiciéronle una quema muy grande.

And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.
