a cuyo encuentro vino Jehú, profeta, hijo de Hanani, y le dijo: Tú das socorro a un impío, y te estrechas en amistad con gente que aborrece al Señor; por tanto merecías experimentar la ira del Señor.
Y salióle al encuentro Jehú el vidente, hijo de Hanani, y dijo al rey Josaphat: ¿Al impío das ayuda, y amas á los que aborrecen á Jehová? Pues la ira de la presencia de Jehová será sobre ti por ello.
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.

Mas se han hallado en ti buenas obras; pues arrancaste los bosques idolátricos de la tierra de Judá; y has convertido tu corazón en busca del Señor Dios de tus padres.
Empero se han hallado en ti buenas cosas, porque cortaste de la tierra los bosques, y has apercibido tu corazón á buscar á Dios.
Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.

Habitó, pues, Josafat en Jerusalén , y salió de nuevo a visitar a su pueblo desde Bersabee hasta la montaña de Efraín, y redujo sus vasallos al Señor Dios de sus padres.
Habitó pues Josaphat en Jerusalem; mas daba vuelta y salía al pueblo, desde Beer-seba hasta el monte de Ephraim, y reducíalos á Jehová el Dios de sus padres.
And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again through the people from Beer-sheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto the LORD God of their fathers.

Puso además jueces en todas las ciudades fuertes de Judá y en todas partes.

Y dando sus órdenes a los jueces: Mirad, les dijo, mirad lo que hacéis, porque ejercéis las veces, no de un hombre, sino del Señor, y cualquier sentencia que diereis recaerá sobre vosotros.
Y dijo á los jueces: Mirad lo que hacéis: porque no juzgáis en lugar de hombre, sino en lugar de Jehová, el cual está con vosotros en el negocio del juicio.
And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.
and said to the judges, “Consider what you do, for you don’t judge for man, but for the LORD; and he is with you in the judgment.
Esté con vosotros el temor del Señor, y haced todas las cosas con exactitud; pues en Dios nuestro Señor no cabe injusticia, ni soborno, ni codicia de dones.
Sea pues con vosotros el temor de Jehová; guardad y haced: porque en Jehová nuestro Dios no hay iniquidad, ni acepción de personas, ni recibir cohecho.
Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.
Now therefore let the fear of the LORD be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.”
Josafat estableció también en Jerusalén levitas, y sacerdotes, y príncipes o cabezas de las familias de Israel, para que hiciesen justicia a sus moradores y juzgasen las causas del Señor;
Y puso también Josaphat en Jerusalem algunos de los Levitas y sacerdotes, y de los padres de familias de Israel, para el juicio de Jehová y para las causas. Y volviéronse á Jerusalem.
Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem.
Moreover in Jerusalem Jehoshaphat appointed certain Levites, priests, and heads of the fathers’ households of Israel to give judgment for the LORD and for controversies. They returned to Jerusalem.
y les dio sus órdenes, y dijo: Debéis portaros con fidelidad y con sincero corazón en el temor del Señor.
Y mandóles, diciendo: Procederéis asimismo con temor de Jehová, con verdad, y con corazón íntegro.
And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
He commanded them, saying, “You shall do this in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
En cualquier pleito entre familia y familia de vuestros hermanos que habitan en sus ciudades, que viniere a vuestro tribunal, siempre que se trate de la ley, de los mandamientos, de las ceremonias o de los preceptos los instruiréis, para que no pequen contra el Señor; a fin de que no descargue su ira sobre vosotros y sobre vuestros hermanos; obrando así no pecaréis.
En cualquier causa que viniere á vosotros de vuestros hermanos que habitan en las ciudades, entre sangre y sangre, entre ley y precepto, estatutos y derechos, habéis de amonestarles que no pequen contra Jehová, porque no venga ira sobre vosotros y sobre vuestros hermanos. Obrando así no pecaréis.
And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against the LORD, and so wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.
Whenever any controversy comes to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, you must warn them, that they not be guilty toward the LORD, and so wrath come on you and on your brothers. Do this, and you will not be guilty.
A este fin Amarías, vuestro sumo sacerdote, presidirá en todo aquello que concierne a Dios; y Zabadías, hijo de Ismahel, príncipe de la casa de Judá, presidirá en todos los negocios pertenecientes al servicio del rey; tenéis también entre vosotros los levitas, los cuales os servirán de maestros; cobrad ánimo y cumplid exactamente vuestros deberes, que el Señor os colmará de bienes.
Y he aquí Amarías sacerdote será el que os presida en todo negocio de Jehová; y Zebadías hijo de Ismael, príncipe de la casa de Judá, en todos los negocios del rey; también los Levitas serán oficiales en presencia de vosotros. Esforzaos pues, y obrad; que Jehová será con el bueno.
And, behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king’s matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and the LORD shall be with the good.
