Après ces choses les fils de Moab et les fils d'Ammon et avec eux quelques-uns des Méunites vinrent contre Josaphat pour lui faire la guerre.

PASADAS estas cosas, aconteció que los hijos de Moab y de Ammón, y con ellos otros de los Ammonitas, vinieron contra Josaphat á la guerra.

It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazon-tamar, which is En-gedi.

N'est-ce pas toi, ô notre Dieu, qui as chassé les habitants de ce pays devant ton peuple d'Israël, et qui l'as donné pour toujours à la race d'Abraham, ton ami ?

Dios nuestro, ¿no echaste tú los moradores de aquesta tierra delante de tu pueblo Israel, y la diste á la simiente de Abraham tu amigo para siempre?

Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

Et ils s'y sont établis et y ont bâti un sanctuaire à ton nom en disant :

S'il nous survient quelque calamité, épée, jugement, peste ou famine, nous nous présenterons devant cette maison et devant toi, car ton nom est dans cette maison ; et nous crierons à toi du sein de notre détresse, et tu exauceras et tu délivreras.

Si mal viniere sobre nosotros, ó espada de castigo, ó pestilencia, ó hambre, presentarnos hemos delante de esta casa, y delante de ti, (porque tu nombre está en esta casa,) y de nuestras tribulaciones clamaremos á ti, y tú nos oirás y salvarás.

If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

‘If evil comes on us—the sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine—we will stand before this house, and before you (for your name is in this house), and cry to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.’

et il dit : Soyez attentifs, tout Juda et habitants de Jérusalem, et toi, roi Josaphat ! Ainsi vous parle l'Eternel : Vous, ne craignez point et ne soyez point effrayés devant cette grande multitude, car ce n'est pas à vous à combattre, mais à Dieu.

And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

and he said, “Listen, all Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat. The LORD says to you, ‘Don’t be afraid, and don’t be dismayed because of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

Demain, descendez sur eux ; voici, ils monteront par la colline de Tsits, et vous les trouverez à l'extrémité de la vallée, en face du désert de Jéruel.

Mañana descenderéis contra ellos: he aquí que ellos subirán por la cuesta de Sis, y los hallaréis junto al arroyo, antes del desierto de Jeruel.

To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.

Ce n'est pas à vous à combattre en cette affaire ; postez-vous, tenez-vous là, et vous verrez la délivrance que l'Eternel vous accordera, Juda et Jérusalem ! Ne craignez point et ne soyez point effrayés : demain, marchez à leur rencontre, et l'Eternel sera avec vous !

No habrá para qué vosotros peleéis en este caso: paraos, estad quedos, y ved la salud de Jehová con vosotros. Oh Judá y Jerusalem, no temáis ni desmayéis; salid mañana contra ellos, que Jehová será con vosotros.

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

Et Josaphat s'inclina, le visage contre terre, et tout Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem tombèrent devant l'Eternel en se prosternant devant l'Eternel.

Entonces Josaphat se inclinó rostro por tierra, y asimismo todo Judá y los moradores de Jerusalem se postraron delante de Jehová, y adoraron á Jehová.

Et le lendemain de grand matin ils sortirent au désert de Thékoa ; et comme ils sortaient, Josaphat se tint debout et dit : Ecoutez-moi, Juda et habitants de Jérusalem ! Confiez-vous en l'Eternel, votre Dieu, et vous serez affermis ; confiez-vous en ses prophètes, et vous réussirez.

Y habido consejo con el pueblo, puso á algunos que cantasen á Jehová, y alabasen en la hermosura de la santidad, mientras que salía la gente armada, y dijesen: Glorificad á Jehová, porque su misericordia es para siempre.

And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

Et Eliézer, fils de Dodava, de Marésa, prophétisa contre Josaphat, disant : Parce que tu t'es associé avec Achazia, l'Eternel a brisé ton œuvre. Et les navires furent brisés et n'eurent pas la force d'aller à Tharsis.

Entonces Eliezer hijo de Dodava de Mareosah, profetizó contra Josaphat, diciendo: Por cuanto has hecho compañía con Ochôzías, Jehová destruirá tus obras. Y los navíos se rompieron, y no pudieron ir á Tharsis.
