No entanto, Yahweh não quis destruir a casa de Davi, por causa da aliança que tinha feito com Davi; pois Ele havia prometido que sempre lhe daria vida e aos seus descendentes.

Mas Jehová no quiso destruir la casa de David, á causa de la alianza que con David había hecho, y porque le había dicho que le daría lámpara á él y á sus hijos perpetuamente.

Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.
