E Giosafat s’addormentò coi suoi padri, e con essi fu sepolto nella città di Davide; e Jehoram, suo figliuolo, regnò in luogo suo.

Y DURMIÓ Josaphat con sus padres, y sepultáronlo con sus padres en la ciudad de David. Y reinó en su lugar Joram su hijo.

Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.

Este tuvo hermanos, hijos de Josaphat, á Azarías, Jehiel, Zachârías, Azarías, Michâel, y Sephatías. Todos estos fueron hijos de Josaphat rey de Israel.

And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.

e il padre loro avea fatto ad essi grandi doni d’argento, d’oro e di cose preziose, con delle città fortificate in Giuda, ma avea lasciato il regno a Jehoram, perch’era il primogenito.

Y su padre les había dado muchos dones de oro y de plata, y cosas preciosas, y ciudades fuertes en Judá; mas había dado el reino á Joram, porque él era el primogénito.

And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the firstborn.

Y anduvo en el camino de los reyes de Israel, como hizo la casa de Achâb; porque tenía por mujer la hija de Achâb, é hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová.

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD.

Nondimeno l’Eterno non volle distrugger la casa di Davide, a motivo del patto che avea fermato con Davide, e della promessa che avea fatta di lasciar sempre una lampada a lui ed ai suoi figliuoli.

Mas Jehová no quiso destruir la casa de David, á causa de la alianza que con David había hecho, y porque le había dicho que le daría lámpara á él y á sus hijos perpetuamente.

Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.

Ai tempi di lui, Edom si ribellò, sottraendosi al giogo di Giuda, e si dette un re.

En los días de éste se rebeló la Idumea, para no estar bajo el poder de Judá, y pusieron rey sobre sí.

Allora Jehoram partì coi suoi capi e con tutti i suoi carri; e, levatosi di notte, sconfisse gli Edomiti che l’aveano circondato, e i capi dei carri.

Entonces pasó Joram con sus príncipes, y consigo todos sus carros; y levantóse de noche, é hirió á los Idumeos que le habían cercado, y á todos los comandantes de sus carros.

Then Jehoram went forth with his princes, and all his chariots with him: and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him in, and the captains of the chariots.

Così Edom si è ribellato sottraendosi al giogo di Giuda fino al dì d’oggi. In quel medesimo tempo, anche Libna si ribellò e si sottrasse al giogo di Giuda, perché Jehoram aveva abbandonato l’Eterno, l’Iddio de’ suoi padri.

Con todo eso Edom quedó rebelado, sin estar bajo la mano de Judá hasta hoy. También se rebeló en el mismo tiempo Libna para no estar bajo su mano; por cuanto él había dejado á Jehová el Dios de sus padres.

So the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his fathers.

So Edom has been in revolt from under the hand of Judah to this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time from under his hand, because he had forsaken the LORD, the God of his fathers.

Jehoram fece anch’egli degli alti luoghi sui monti di Giuda, spinse gli abitanti di Gerusalemme alla prostituzione, e sviò Giuda.

Demás de esto hizo altos en los montes de Judá, é hizo que los moradores de Jerusalem fornicasen, y á ello impelió á Judá.

E gli giunse uno scritto da parte del profeta Elia, che diceva: “Così dice l’Eterno, l’Iddio di Davide tuo padre: Perché tu non hai camminato per le vie di Giosafat, tuo padre, e per le vie d’Asa, re di Giuda,

Y viniéronle letras del profeta Elías, que decían: Jehová, el Dios de David tu padre, ha dicho así: Por cuanto no has andado en los caminos de Josaphat tu padre, ni en los caminos de Asa, rey de Judá,

And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,

A letter came to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, “the LORD, the God of David your father, says, ‘Because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat your father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,

ma hai camminato per la via dei re d’Israele; perché hai spinto alla prostituzione Giuda e gli abitanti di Gerusalemme, come la casa di Achab v’ha spinto Israele, e perché hai ucciso i tuoi fratelli, membri della famiglia di tuo padre, ch’eran migliori di te,

Antes has andado en el camino de los reyes de Israel, y has hecho que fornicase Judá, y los moradores de Jerusalem, como fornicó la casa de Achâb; y además has muerto á tus hermanos, á la familia de tu padre, los cuales eran mejores que tú:

But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father’s house, which were better than thyself:

but have walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and have made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to play the prostitute like Ahab’s house did, and also have slain your brothers of your father’s house, who were better than yourself,

ecco, l’Eterno colpirà con una gran piaga il tuo popolo, i tuoi figliuoli, le tue mogli, e tutto quello che t’appartiene;

He aquí Jehová herirá tu pueblo de una grande plaga, y á tus hijos y á tus mujeres, y á toda tu hacienda;

Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods:

behold, the LORD will strike your people with a great plague, including your children, your wives, and all your possessions;

e tu avrai una grave malattia, una malattia d’intestini, che s’inasprirà di giorno in giorno, finché gl’intestini ti vengan fuori per effetto del male”.

Y á ti con muchas enfermedades, con enfermedad de tus entrañas, hasta que las entrañas se te salgan á causa de la enfermedad de cada día.

And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.

and you will have great sickness with a disease of your bowels, until your bowels fall out by reason of the sickness, day by day.’”

E l’Eterno risvegliò contro Jehoram lo spirito de’ Filistei e degli Arabi, che confinano con gli Etiopi;

Entonces despertó Jehová contra Joram el espíritu de los Filisteos, y de los Arabes que estaban junto á los Etiopes;

ed essi salirono contro Giuda, l’invasero, e portaron via tutte le ricchezze che si trovavano nella casa del re, e anche i suoi figliuoli e le sue mogli, in guisa che non gli rimase altro figliuolo se non Joachaz, ch’era il più piccolo.

Y subieron contra Judá, é invadieron la tierra, y tomaron toda la hacienda que hallaron en la casa del rey, y á sus hijos, y á sus mujeres; que no le quedó hijo, sino Joachâz el menor de sus hijos.

And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king’s house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.

Dopo tutto questo l’Eterno lo colpì con una malattia incurabile d’intestini.

E, con l’andar del tempo, verso la fine del secondo anno, gl’intestini gli venner fuori, in seguito alla malattia; e morì in mezzo ad atroci sofferenze; e il suo popolo non bruciò profumi in onore di lui, come avea fatto per i suoi padri.

Y aconteció que, pasando un día tras otro, al fin, al cabo de dos años, las entrañas se le salieron con la enfermedad, muriendo así de enfermedad muy penosa. Y no le hizo quema su pueblo, como las había hecho á sus padres.

And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.

Aveva trentadue anni quando cominciò a regnare, e regnò otto anni in Gerusalemme. Se ne andò senza esser rimpianto, e fu sepolto nella città di Davide, ma non nei sepolcri dei re.

Cuando comenzó á reinar era de treinta y dos años, y reinó en Jerusalem ocho años; y fuése sin ser deseado. Y sepultáronlo en la ciudad de David, mas no en los sepulcros de los reyes.

Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.
