Aber Josabath, die Tochter des Königs Joram, nahm Joas, den Sohn Ahasjas, und schaffte ihn aus der Mitte der Königssöhne, die getötet werden sollten, heimlich beiseite, indem sie ihn samt seiner Amme in die Bettzeugkammer brachte. So verbarg ihn Josabath, die Tochter des Königs Joram, die Frau des Priesters Jojada – sie war nämlich die Schwester Ahasjas – vor Athalja, so daß diese ihn nicht ermorden konnte.
Empero Josabeth, hija del rey, tomó á Joas hijo de Ochôzías, y arrebatólo de entre los hijos del rey, que mataban, y guardóle á él y á su ama en la cámara de los lechos. Así pues lo escondió Josabeth, hija del rey Joram, mujer de Joiada el sacerdote, (porque ella era hermana de Ochôzías), de delante de Athalía, y no lo mataron.
But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.
But Jehoshabeath, the king’s daughter, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stealthily rescued him from among the king’s sons who were slain, and put him and his nurse in the bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah, so that she didn’t kill him.
