Por lo que llamó el rey al príncipe de los sacerdotes Joíada, y le dijo: ¿Cómo no has tenido cuidado de obligar a los levitas a que recogiesen de Judá y de Jerusalén la contribución impuesta por Moisés, siervo del Señor, a todo el pueblo de Israel para la construcción del Tabernáculo de la Alianza?
Por lo cual el rey llamó á Joiada el principal, y díjole: ¿Por qué no has procurado que los Levitas traigan de Judá y de Jerusalem al tabernáculo del testimonio, la ofrenda que impuso Moisés siervo de Jehová, y de la congregación de Israel?
And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said unto him, Why hast thou not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the LORD, and of the congregation of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness?

Acabadas todas las obras, presentaron al rey y a Joíada el sobrante del dinero, del cual se hicieron los vasos para el servicio del templo y para los holocaustos, como las tazas y demás vasos de oro y de plata. Y mientras vivió Joíada se ofrecían continuamente holocaustos en la casa del Señor.

And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
