Mas Amazias não quis ouvi-lo, porque Deus estava planejando entregar Amazias e seu povo a Jeoás, pelo fato de consultarem os deuses de Edom.

Mas Amasías no quiso oir; porque estaba de Dios, que los quería entregar en manos de sus enemigos, por cuanto habían buscado los dioses de Edom.
