5Otra cosa que Amasías hizo fue reunir a Judá y organizar al pueblo para la guerra poniéndoles jefes de miles y cientos por todo Judá y de Benjamín. Luego hizo un censo, y resultó que contaba con trescientos mil hombres de más de veinte años, todos preparados y muy diestros en el uso de la lanza y la espada. Empleó, además, tres mil trescientos kilos de plata para contratar a cien mil guerreros valientes de Israel.

5Juntó luego Amasías á Judá, y con arreglo á las familias púsoles tribunos y centuriones por todo Judá y Benjamín; y tomólos por lista de veinte años arriba, y fueron hallados en ellos trescientos mil escogidos para salir á la guerra, que tenían lanza y escudo.

5Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.
