Perciocchè Achaz prese una parte de' tesori della Casa del Signore, e della casa del re, e de' principali del popolo; e li diede al re degli Assiri, il qual però non gli diede alcuno aiuto.

Aunque despojó Achâz la casa de Jehová, y la casa real, y las de los príncipes, para dar al rey de los Asirios, con todo eso él no le ayudó.

For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not.
