De vinte anos era Acaz quando começou a reinar, e dezesseis anos reinou em Jerusalém: mas não fez o que era correto aos olhos do SENHOR, como Davi seu pai.

DE VEINTE años era Achâz cuando comenzó á reinar, y dieciséis años reinó en Jerusalem: mas no hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, como David su padre.

Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:

Assim sacrificou e queimou incenso nos altos, e nas colinas, e debaixo de toda árvores espessa.

And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king’s son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah that was next to the king.

Tomaram também cativos os filhos de Israel de seus irmãos duzentos mil, mulheres, meninos, e meninas, a mais de haver saqueado deles um grande despojo, o qual trouxeram a Samaria.

Havia então ali um profeta do SENHOR, que se chamava Obede, o qual saiu diante do exército quando entrava em Samaria, e disse-lhes: Eis que o SENHOR o Deus de vossos pais, pela ira contra Judá, os entregou em vossas mãos; e vós os

But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.

E agora haveis determinado sujeitar a vós a Judá e a Jerusalém por servos e servas: mas não haveis vós pecado contra o SENHOR vosso Deus?

Y ahora habéis determinado sujetar á vosotros á Judá y á Jerusalem por siervos y siervas: mas ¿no habéis vosotros pecado contra Jehová vuestro Dios?

And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD your God?

Now you intend to degrade the children of Judah and Jerusalem as male and female slaves for yourselves. Aren’t there even with you trespasses of your own against the LORD your God?

Ouvi-me, pois, agora, e voltai a enviar os cativos que haveis tomado de vossos irmãos: porque o SENHOR está irado contra vós.

Oidme pues ahora, y volved á enviar los cautivos que habéis tomado de vuestros hermanos: porque Jehová está airado contra vosotros.

Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the LORD is upon you.

Levantaram-se então alguns homens dos principais dos filhos de Efraim, Azarias filho de Joanã, e Berequias filho de Mesilemote, e Jeizquias filho de Salum, e Amasa filho de Hadlai, contra os que vinham da guerra.

Levantáronse entonces algunos varones de los principales de los hijos de Ephraim, Azarías hijo de Johanán, y Berechîas hijo de Mesillemoth, y Ezechîas hijo de Sallum, y Amasa hijo de Hadlai, contra los que venían de la guerra.

Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,

E disseram-lhes: Não metais aqui os cativos; porque o pecado contra o SENHOR será sobre nós. Vós tratais de acrescentar sobre nossos pecados e sobre nossas culpas, sendo suficientemente grande nosso delito, e a ira do furor sobre Israel.

Y dijéronles: No metáis acá la cautividad; porque el pecado contra Jehová será sobre nosotros. Vosotros tratáis de añadir sobre nuestros pecados y sobre nuestras culpas, siendo asaz grande nuestro delito, y la ira del furor sobre Israel.

And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.

and said to them, “You must not bring in the captives here, for you intend that which will bring on us a trespass against the LORD, to add to our sins and to our guilt; for our guilt is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.”

Então o exército deixou os cativos e a presa diante dos príncipes e de toda a multidão.

E levantaram-se os homens nomeados, e tomaram os cativos, e vestiram do despojo aos que deles estavam nus; vestiram-nos e calçaram-nos, e deram-lhes de comer e de beber, e ungiram-nos, e conduziram em asnos a todos os fracos, e levaram-nos até Jericó, cidade das palmeiras, próxima de seus irmãos; e eles voltaram a Samaria.

And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria.

Naquele tempo enviou a pedir o rei Acaz aos reis de Assíria que lhe ajudassem:

Porque a mais disto, os edomitas haviam vindo e ferido aos de Judá, e haviam levado cativos.

Porque o SENHOR havia humilhado a Judá por causa de Acaz rei de Israel: porquanto ele havia desnudado a Judá, e rebelado-se gravemente contra o SENHOR.

For the LORD brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the LORD.

E veio contra ele Tiglate-Pileser, rei dos assírios: pois o oprimiu, e não o fortificou.

Y vino contra él Tilgath-pilneser, rey de los Asirios: pues lo redujo á estrechez, y no lo fortificó.

And Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not.

Ainda que Acaz tenha despojado a casa do SENHOR, e a casa real, e as dos príncipes, para dar ao rei dos assírios, contudo isso ele não lhe ajudou.

Aunque despojó Achâz la casa de Jehová, y la casa real, y las de los príncipes, para dar al rey de los Asirios, con todo eso él no le ayudó.

For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not.

Ademais o rei Acaz no tempo que aquele lhe afligia-se, acrescentou transgressão contra o SENHOR;

And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the LORD: this is that king Ahaz.

Porque sacrificou aos deuses de Damasco que lhe haviam ferido, e disse: Pois que os deuses dos reis da Síria lhes ajudam, eu também sacrificarei a eles para que me ajudem; bem que foram estes sua ruína, e a de todo Israel.

For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.

A mais disso recolheu Acaz os vasos da casa de Deus, e quebrou-os, e fechou as portas da casa do SENHOR, e fez-se altares em Jerusalém em todos os cantos.

A más de eso recogió Achâz los vasos de la casa de Dios, y quebrólos, y cerró las puertas de la casa de Jehová, é hízose altares en Jerusalem en todos los rincones.

And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.

Fez também altos em todas as cidades de Judá, para queimar incenso aos deuses alheios, provocando assim a ira ao SENHOR o Deus de seus pais.

And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers.

Os demais de seus feitos, e todos seus caminhos, primeiros e últimos, eis que estão escrito no livro dos reis de Judá e de Israel.

E descansou Acaz com seus pais, e sepultaram-no na cidade de Jerusalém: mas não lhe meteram nos sepulcros dos reis de Israel; e reinou em seu lugar Ezequias seu filho.
