ACHAZ era d'età di vent'anni, quando cominciò a regnare; e regnò sedici anni in Gerusalemme; e non fece ciò che piace al Signore, come Davide, suo padre.

DE VEINTE años era Achâz cuando comenzó á reinar, y dieciséis años reinó en Jerusalem: mas no hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, como David su padre.

Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:

E Zicri, uomo possente di Efraim, uccise Maaseia, figliuolo del re, e Azricam, mastro del palazzo, ed Elcana, la seconda persona dopo il re.

Asimismo Zichri, hombre poderoso de Ephraim, mató á Maasías hijo del rey, y á Azricam su mayordomo, y á Elcana, segundo después del rey.

E i figliuoli d'Israele menarono prigioni dugentomila persone de' lor fratelli, tra donne, figliuoli e figliuole; e anche fecero sopra loro una gran preda, la quale conducevano in Samaria.

Tomaron también cautivos los hijos de Israel de sus hermanos doscientos mil, mujeres, muchachos, y muchachas, á más de haber saqueado de ellos un gran despojo, el cual trajeron á Samaria.

E pure ancora al presente voi deliberate di sottomettervi per servi, e per serve, i figliuoli di Giuda e di Gerusalemme. Non è egli vero, che già non v'è altro in voi, se non colpe contro al Signore Iddio vostro?

Y ahora habéis determinado sujetar á vosotros á Judá y á Jerusalem por siervos y siervas: mas ¿no habéis vosotros pecado contra Jehová vuestro Dios?

And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD your God?

Now you intend to degrade the children of Judah and Jerusalem as male and female slaves for yourselves. Aren’t there even with you trespasses of your own against the LORD your God?

Ora dunque, ascoltatemi, e riconducete i prigioni che avete presi d'infra i vostri fratelli; perciocchè v'è ira accesa del Signore contro a voi.

Allora certi uomini principali de' capi de' figliuoli di Efraim, cioè: Azaria, figliuolo di Iohanan, Berechia, figliuolo di Messillemot, Ezechia, figliuolo di Sallum, ed Amasa, figliuolo di Haldai, si levarono contro a quelli che venivano dalla guerra, e dissero loro:

Voi non menerete qua entro questi prigioni; perciocchè ciò che voi pensate fare è per renderci colpevoli appo il Signore, accrescendo il numero de' nostri peccati e delle nostre colpe; conciossiachè noi siamo grandemente colpevoli, e vi sia ira accesa contro ad Israele.

Y dijéronles: No metáis acá la cautividad; porque el pecado contra Jehová será sobre nosotros. Vosotros tratáis de añadir sobre nuestros pecados y sobre nuestras culpas, siendo asaz grande nuestro delito, y la ira del furor sobre Israel.

And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.

and said to them, “You must not bring in the captives here, for you intend that which will bring on us a trespass against the LORD, to add to our sins and to our guilt; for our guilt is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.”

Allora gli uomini di guerra rilasciarono i prigioni e la preda, in presenza dei capi e di tutta la raunanza.

In quel tempo il re Achaz mandò ai re degli Assiri per soccorso.

En aquel tiempo envió á pedir el rey Achâz á los reyes de Asiria que le ayudasen:

Ed al tempo ch'egli era distretto, egli continuava vie più a commetter misfatti contro al Signore; tale era il re Achaz.

Además el rey Achâz en el tiempo que aquél le apuraba, añadió prevaricación contra Jehová;

E sacrificò agl'iddii di Damasco che l'aveano sconfitto, e disse: Poichè gl'iddii dei re di Siria li aiutano, io sacrificherò loro, acciocchè aiutino ancora me. Ma quelli gli furono cagione di far traboccar lui e tutto Israele.
