Ahas war zwanzig Jahre alt, als er König ward, und regierte sechzehn Jahre lang zu Jerusalem; aber er tat nicht, was recht war in den Augen des HERRN, wie sein Vater David,

DE VEINTE años era Achâz cuando comenzó á reinar, y dieciséis años reinó en Jerusalem: mas no hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, como David su padre.

Denn Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, machte in Juda an einem Tage 120000 †Mann nieder, lauter tapfere Leute, weil sie den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter, verlassen hatten.

Zudem erschlug Sichri, ein ephraimitischer Held, Maaseja, den Sohn des Königs, und Asrikan, den Haushofmeister, und Elkana, den Nächsten nach dem König.

Asimismo Zichri, hombre poderoso de Ephraim, mató á Maasías hijo del rey, y á Azricam su mayordomo, y á Elcana, segundo después del rey.

Und die Kinder Israel führten von ihren Brüdern 200000 Frauen, Söhne und Töchter gefangen hinweg und machten dazu große Beute und brachten die Beute nach Samaria.

Es war aber daselbst ein Prophet des HERRN, der hieß Oded; der ging hinaus, dem Heer entgegen, das gen Samaria kam, und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, weil der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, über Juda zornig ist, hat er sie in eure Hand gegeben; und ihr habt sie mit einer Wut, die zum Himmel schreit, niedergemetzelt.

Había entonces allí un profeta de Jehová, que se llamaba Obed, el cual salió delante del ejército cuando entraba en Samaria, y díjoles: He aquí Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres, por el enojo contra Judá, los ha entregado en vuestras manos; y vosotros los habéis muerto con ira, que hasta el cielo ha llegado.

Und nun gedenket ihr die Kinder Judas und Jerusalems so niederzutreten, daß sie eure Knechte und Mägde werden sollen? Was habt ihr denn anders als Schulden bei dem HERRN, eurem Gott?

Y ahora habéis determinado sujetar á vosotros á Judá y á Jerusalem por siervos y siervas: mas ¿no habéis vosotros pecado contra Jehová vuestro Dios?

And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD your God?

Now you intend to degrade the children of Judah and Jerusalem as male and female slaves for yourselves. Aren’t there even with you trespasses of your own against the LORD your God?

So gehorchet mir nun und schicket die Gefangenen wieder zurück, die ihr von euren Brüdern weggeführt habt; denn der grimmige Zorn des HERRN lastet auf euch!

Da standen einige Männer von den Häuptern der Kinder Ephraim auf, nämlich Asaja, der Sohn Johanans, Berechja, der Sohn Messilemots, Jehiskia, der Sohn Sallums, und Amasa, der Sohn Hadlais, denen entgegen, welche vom Feldzug zurückkehrten,

Levantáronse entonces algunos varones de los principales de los hijos de Ephraim, Azarías hijo de Johanán, y Berechîas hijo de Mesillemoth, y Ezechîas hijo de Sallum, y Amasa hijo de Hadlai, contra los que venían de la guerra.

Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,

und sprachen zu ihnen: Ihr sollt die Gefangenen nicht hierher bringen, denn das würde uns zur Schuld vor dem HERRN gereichen! Ihr gedenket unsre Sünde und Schuld zu vermehren; und doch ist unsre Schuld schon groß genug und der grimmige Zorn über Israel!

Y dijéronles: No metáis acá la cautividad; porque el pecado contra Jehová será sobre nosotros. Vosotros tratáis de añadir sobre nuestros pecados y sobre nuestras culpas, siendo asaz grande nuestro delito, y la ira del furor sobre Israel.

And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.

and said to them, “You must not bring in the captives here, for you intend that which will bring on us a trespass against the LORD, to add to our sins and to our guilt; for our guilt is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.”

Da ließen die Krieger die Gefangenen und die Beute vor den Obersten und der ganzen Gemeinde frei.

Zu jener Zeit sandte der König Ahas Botschaft zu den Königen von Assyrien, daß sie ihm helfen sollten.

Denn der HERR demütigte Juda, um Ahas willen, des Königs von Israel, weil er keine Zucht übte in Juda und sich an dem HERRN schwer verging.

Ja, zu der Zeit, als er bedrängt ward, versündigte er sich an dem HERRN, er, der König Ahas!

Además el rey Achâz en el tiempo que aquél le apuraba, añadió prevaricación contra Jehová;

And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the LORD: this is that king Ahaz.

Er opferte nämlich den Göttern von Damaskus, die ihn geschlagen hatten, indem er sprach: Weil die Götter der Könige von Syrien ihnen helfen, so will ich ihnen opfern, damit sie mir auch helfen! Aber sie gereichten ihm und ganz Israel zum Fall.

Und Ahas nahm die Geräte des Hauses Gottes weg und zerbrach die Geräte des Hauses Gottes und verschloß die Türen am Hause des HERRN und machte sich Altäre an allen Ecken zu Jerusalem.
