DETERMINÓ pues Salomón edificar casa al nombre de Jehová, y otra casa para su reino.
And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.

Salomon envoya dire à Houram, roi de Tyr: "Comme tu as agi à l’égard de David, mon père, à qui tu envoyas des cèdres pour qu’il pût se bâtir un palais comme résidence, veuille agir à mon égard.
Y contó Salomón setenta mil hombres que llevasen cargas, y ochenta mil hombres que cortasen en el monte, y tres mil y seiscientos que los gobernasen.
And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.
Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, eighty thousand men who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them.
Voici je projette d’édifier en l’honneur de l’Eternel, mon Dieu, une maison qui lui sera consacrée pour y brûler devant lui l’encens aromatique; y exposer en permanence les pains de proposition, y offrir des holocaustes les matins et les soirs, aux Sabbats, aux néoménies et aux fêtes solennelles de l’Eternel, notre Dieu, comme cela est prescrit pour toujours à Israël.
Y envió á decir Salomón á Hiram rey de Tiro: Haz conmigo como hiciste con David mi padre, enviándole cedros para que edificara para sí casa en que morase.
And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, even so deal with me.

La maison que je vais construire doit être grande, car notre Dieu est plus grand que tous les dieux.
He aquí yo tengo que edificar casa al nombre de Jehová mi Dios, para consagrársela, para quemar perfumes aromáticos delante de él, y para la colocación continua de los panes de la proposición, y para holocaustos á mañana y tarde, y los sábados, y nuevas lunas, y festividades de Jehová nuestro Dios; lo cual ha de ser perpetuo en Israel.
Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.

Qui, en vérité, aurait assez de puissance pour lui ériger une maison, à Lui que le ciel et tous les cieux ne sauraient contenir? Et qui suis-je, moi, pour lui élever une maison, si ce n’est en vue de faire fumer de l’encens devant lui?
Y la casa que tengo que edificar, ha de ser grande: porque el Dios nuestro es grande sobre todos los dioses.
And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.
“The house which I am building will be great, for our God is greater than all gods.
Envoie-moi donc un homme habile à travailler l’or, l’argent, le cuivre, le fer, les étoffes teintes en pourpre, en cramoisi et en azur, et connaissant l’art de la sculpture, pour qu’il seconde les artistes dont je dispose en Juda et à Jérusalem et que David, mon père, a réunis.
Mas ¿quién será tan poderoso que le edifique casa? Los cielos y los cielos de los cielos no le pueden comprender; ¿quién pues soy yo, que le edifique casa, sino para quemar perfumes delante de él?
But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?

Envoie-moi aussi du Liban du bois de cèdre, de cyprès et de sandal, car je sais que tes serviteurs sont exercés à couper les arbres du Liban; et mes travailleurs aideront les tiens.
Envíame pues ahora un hombre hábil, que sepa trabajar en oro, y en plata, y en metal, y en hierro, en púrpura, y en grana, y en cárdeno, y que sepa esculpir con los maestros que están conmigo en Judá y en Jerusalem, los cuales previno mi padre.
Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.
“Now therefore send me a man skillful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, and in purple, crimson, and blue, and who knows how to engrave engravings, to be with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
Qu’on me prépare donc du bois en quantité, car la maison que je me propose de construire sera prodigieusement grande.
Envíame también madera de cedro, de haya, de pino, del Líbano: porque yo sé que tus siervos entienden de cortar madera en el Líbano; y he aquí, mis siervos irán con los tuyos,
Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants,

A mon tour, j’attribue à tes serviteurs, aux bûcherons, aux fendeurs de bois, pour leur entretien, vingt mille kôr de froment, vingt mille kôr d’orge, vingt mille bath de vin et vingt mille bath d’huile.
Para que me apresten mucha madera, porque la casa que tengo de edificar ha de ser grande y portentosa.
Even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the house which I am about to build shall be wonderful great.

Houram, roi de Tyr, répondit par une lettre qu’il fit parvenir à Salomon: "Dans son amour pour son peuple, dit-il, l’Eternel t’a placé comme roi à sa tête."
Y he aquí para los operarios tus siervos, cortadores de la madera, he dado veinte mil coros de trigo en grano, y veinte mil coros de cebada, y veinte mil batos de vino, y veinte mil batos de aceite.
And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.
Behold, I will give to your servants, the cutters who cut timber, twenty thousand cors of beaten wheat, twenty thousand baths of barley, twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.”
Houram ajouta: "Béni soit l’Eternel, Dieu d’Israël, qui a fait le ciel et la terre, d’avoir donné au roi David un fils sage, doué de jugement et d’intelligence, résolu à construire une maison pour l’Eternel et un palais pour sa résidence royale!
Entonces Hiram rey de Tiro respondió por letras, las que envió á Salomón: Porque Jehová amó á su pueblo, te ha puesto por rey sobre ellos.
Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them.
Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, “Because the LORD loves his people, he has made you king over them.”

Y además decía Hiram: Bendito sea Jehová el Dios de Israel, que hizo los cielos y la tierra, y que dió al rey David hijo sabio, entendido, cuerdo y prudente, que edifique casa á Jehová, y casa para su reino.
Huram said moreover, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
Huram continued, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, who would build a house for the LORD and a house for his kingdom.
C’est le fils d’une femme, d’entre les filles de Dan, et son père était un Tyrien; il sait travailler l’or, l’argent, le cuivre, le fer, les pierres, le bois, les étoffes de pourpre, d’azur, de byssus et de cramoisi; il connaît l’art de la sculpture, est capable de combiner toute œuvre d’artiste, dont il sera chargé concurremment avec tes artistes et les artistes de mon seigneur, ton père David.
Yo pues te he enviado un hombre hábil y entendido, que fué de Hiram mi padre,

Quant au froment, à l’orge, à l’huile et au vin dont a parlé mon seigneur, qu’il les fasse parvenir à ses serviteurs.
Hijo de una mujer de las hijas de Dan, mas su padre fué de Tiro; el cual sabe trabajar en oro, y plata, y metal, y hierro, en piedra y en madera, en púrpura y en cárdeno, en lino y en carmesí; asimismo para esculpir todas figuras, y sacar toda suerte de diseño que se le propusiere, y estar con tus hombres peritos, y con los de mi señor David tu padre.
The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.

He is skillful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, in timber, in purple, in blue, in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving and to devise any device, that there may be a place appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.
Et nous, nous abattrons des arbres du Liban selon tous tes besoins et te les amènerons par radeaux jusqu’à la mer de Joppé; toi, tu les feras monter à Jérusalem."
Ahora pues, enviará mi señor á sus siervos el trigo y cebada, y aceite y vino, que ha dicho;
Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:
“Now therefore, the wheat, the barley, the oil, and the wine which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants;
Salomon fit le relevé de tous les individus étrangers établis dans le pays d’Israël et qui avaient déjà été recensés par son père David: ils s’élevaient au nombre de cent cinquante-trois mille six cents.
Y nosotros cortaremos en el Líbano la madera que hubieres menester, y te la traeremos en balsas por la mar hasta Joppe, y tú la harás llevar hasta Jerusalem.
And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need: and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem.

Il en employa soixante-dix mille pour porter les fardeaux, quatre-vingt mille pour extraire les pierres de la montagne, et trois mille six cents comme directeurs, chargés de faire travailler le peuple.
Y contó Salomón todos los hombres extranjeros que estaban en la tierra de Israel, después de haberlos ya contado David su padre, y fueron hallados ciento cincuenta y tres mil seiscientos.
And Solomon numbered all the strangers that were in the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred.
Solomon counted all the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, after the census with which David his father had counted them; and they found one hundred fifty-three thousand six hundred.
