Hierauf sandte Hiskia Boten an ganz Israel und Juda und schrieb auch Briefe an Ephraim und Manasse, sie möchten zum Hause des HERRN in Jerusalem kommen, um dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, eine Passahfeier zu veranstalten.

So zogen denn die Eilboten von Stadt zu Stadt durch das Land Ephraim und Manasse und bis nach Sebulon, aber man verspottete und verhöhnte sie;
