Aber Hiskia bewies sich für die ihm erwiesene Wohltat nicht dankbar, sondern sein Herz überhob sich; darum brach ein Zorngericht über ihn und über Juda und Jerusalem herein.

Mas Ezechîas no pagó conforme al bien que le había sido hecho: antes se enalteció su corazón, y fué la ira contra él, y contra Judá y Jerusalem.

But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.

But Hezekiah didn’t reciprocate appropriate to the benefit done for him, because his heart was lifted up. Therefore there was wrath on him, Judah, and Jerusalem.
