Pero Manasés indujo a la gente de Judá y de Jerusalén a cometer males mayores que los pueblos que el Señor había destruido, cuando Israel entró en la tierra:
Hizo pues Manasés desviarse á Judá y á los moradores de Jerusalem, para hacer más mal que las gentes que Jehová destruyó delante de los hijos de Israel.
So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.

Quitó los dioses ajenos de las colinas, sacó el ídolo del templo y derribó los altares que haba edificado en la montaña donde estaba el templo, y los altares que había en Jerusalén, y los arrojó fuera de la ciudad.
