GIOSIA era di età di otto anni, quando cominciò a regnare; e regnò trentun'anno in Gerusalemme.

E li davano a' fabbri, ed a' muratori; e per comperar pietre tagliate, e legname per le travature, e per fare i palchi alle case, le quali i re di Giuda aveano guaste.

Daban asimismo á los oficiales y albañiles para que comprasen piedra de cantería, y madera para las trabazones, y para entabladura de las casas, las cuales habían destruído los reyes de Judá.

También velaban sobre los ganapanes, y eran sobrestantes de los que se ocupaban en cualquier clase de obra; y de los Levitas había escribas, gobernadores, y porteros.

Andate, domandate il Signore per me, e per lo rimanente d'Israele e di Giuda, intorno alle parole di questo libro ch'è stato ritrovato; perciocchè grande è l'ira del Signore, la quale è versata sopra noi; perciocchè i nostri padri non hanno osservata la parola del Signore, per far secondo tutto ciò ch'è scritto in questo libro.

Andad, y consultad á Jehová de mí, y de las reliquias de Israel y de Judá, acerca de las palabras del libro que se ha hallado; porque grande es el furor de Jehová que ha caído sobre nosotros, por cuanto nuestros padres no guardaron la palabra de Jehová, para hacer conforme á todo lo que está escrito en este libro.

Go, enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.

Hilchia adunque, e gli uomini del re, andarono dalla profetessa Hulda, moglie di Sallum, figliuolo di Tochat, figliuolo di Hasra, guardiano delle vesti, la quale abitava in Gerusalemme, nel secondo recinto; e parlarono a lei in quella sentenza.

Entonces Hilcías y los del rey fueron á Hulda profetisa, mujer de Sallum, hijo de Tikvath, hijo de Hasra, guarda de las vestimentas, la cual moraba en Jerusalem en la casa de la doctrina; y dijéronle las palabras dichas.

And Hilkiah, and they that the king had appointed, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college:) and they spake to her to that effect.

Così ha detto il Signore: Ecco, io fo venir del male sopra questo luogo, e sopra i suoi abitatori; tutte le maledizioni che sono scritte nel libro, ch'è stato letto in presenza del re di Giuda.

He aquí yo traigo mal sobre este lugar, y sobre los moradores de él, todas las maldiciones que están escritas en el libro que leyeron delante del rey de Judá:

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah:

“The LORD says, ‘Behold, I will bring evil on this place and on its inhabitants, even all the curses that are written in the book which they have read before the king of Judah.

Perciocchè essi mi hanno abbandonato, ed hanno fatti profumi ad altri dii, per dispettarmi con tutte le opere delle lor mani; laonde l'ira mia si è versata sopra questo luogo, e non si spegnerà.

Por cuanto me han dejado, y han sacrificado á dioses ajenos, provocándome á ira en todas las obras de sus manos; por tanto mi furor destilará sobre este lugar, y no se apagará.

perciocchè il tuo cuore si è ammollito, e tu ti sei umiliato per timor di Dio, quando tu hai inteso ciò ch'egli ha pronunziato contro a questo luogo, e contro a' suoi abitatori; e ti sei umiliato nel mio cospetto, ed hai stracciati i tuoi vestimenti, ed hai pianto davanti a me; io altresì ti ho esaudito, dice il Signore.

Y tu corazón se enterneció, y te humillaste delante de Dios al oir sus palabras sobre este lugar, y sobre sus moradores, y te humillaste delante de mí, y rasgaste tus vestidos, y lloraste en mi presencia, yo también te he oído, dice Jehová.

Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith the LORD.

Ecco, io ti raccoglierò coi tuoi padri, e sarai raccolto nelle tue sepolture in pace; e gli occhi tuoi non vedranno tutto il male che io fo venire sopra questo luogo, e sopra i suoi abitatori. Ed essi rapportarono la cosa al re.

He aquí que yo te recogeré con tus padres, y serás recogido en tus sepulcros en paz, y tus ojos no verán todo el mal que yo traigo sobre este lugar, y sobre los moradores de él. Y ellos refirieron al rey la respuesta.

Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they brought the king word again.

E il re stette in piè nel luogo suo ordinario, e fece patto nel cospetto del Signore, promettendo di camminare dietro al Signore, e di osservare i suoi comandamenti, e le sue testimonianze, e i suoi statuti, con tutto il cuore, e con tutta l'anima sua; mettendo ad effetto le parole del Patto, scritte in quel libro.

E Giosia tolse via tutte le abbominazioni da tutte le contrade de' figliuoli d'Israele, e sottopose tutti quelli che si ritrovarono in Israele a servire al Signore Iddio loro. Tutto il tempo della vita di Giosia, essi non si rivolsero indietro dal Signore Iddio de' lor padri.

Y quitó Josías todas las abominaciones de todas las tierras de los hijos de Israel, é hizo á todos los que se hallaron en Israel que sirviesen á Jehová su Dios. No se apartaron de en pos de Jehová el Dios de sus padres, todo el tiempo que él vivió.
