Llevó éste el libro al rey, y dándole cuenta, dijo: Todo lo que has encargado al cuidado de tus siervos, se va concluyendo.

Id, y orad o consultad al Señor por mí y por las reliquias de Israel y de Judá, acerca de todas las palabras de este libro que se ha encontrado; porque grande es el furor o azote del Señor que está para descargar sobre nosotros; por cuanto no han guardado nuestros padres las palabras del Señor, ni cumplido todo cuanto está escrito en este libro.
Andad, y consultad á Jehová de mí, y de las reliquias de Israel y de Judá, acerca de las palabras del libro que se ha hallado; porque grande es el furor de Jehová que ha caído sobre nosotros, por cuanto nuestros padres no guardaron la palabra de Jehová, para hacer conforme á todo lo que está escrito en este libro.
Go, enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.

Fue, pues, Helcías, junto con los enviados del rey, a encontrar a Olda, profetisa, mujer de Sellum, hijo de Tecuat, hijo de Hasra, guardarropa; la cual moraba en Jerusalén , en la segunda ciudad, y le refirieron las palabras que arriba mencionamos.
Entonces Hilcías y los del rey fueron á Hulda profetisa, mujer de Sallum, hijo de Tikvath, hijo de Hasra, guarda de las vestimentas, la cual moraba en Jerusalem en la casa de la doctrina; y dijéronle las palabras dichas.

por cuanto me han abandonado a mí, y han ofrecido sacrificios a los dioses extranjeros, provocando mi ira con todas las obras de sus manos; por cuyo motivo lloverá mi furor sobre este lugar, y no cesará.

se ha enternecido tu corazón, y te has humillado en el acatamiento de Dios, con motivo de lo que en él hay escrito contra este lugar, y contra los habitantes de Jerusalén ; y temblando de mi majestad, has rasgado tus vestiduras, y llorado en mi presencia; yo también te he oído, dice el Señor.
