so wird man antworten: ›Zur Strafe dafür, daß sie den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter, der sie aus dem Lande Ägypten hinausgeführt hatte, verlassen und sich anderen Göttern zugewandt und sie angebetet und ihnen gedient haben: darum hat er all dieses Unglück über sie kommen lassen!‹«
Y se responderá: Por cuanto dejaron á Jehová Dios de sus padres, el cual los sacó de la tierra de Egipto, y han abrazado dioses ajenos, y los adoraron y sirvieron: por eso él ha traído todo este mal sobre ellos.
And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.
They shall answer, ‘Because they abandoned the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and took other gods, worshiped them, and served them. Therefore he has brought all this evil on them.’”
