1Ahora, cuando las oraciones de Salomón terminaron, el fuego bajó del cielo, quemando todas las ofrendas; y el templo se llenó de la gloria de él Señor.
2Y los sacerdotes no pudieron entrar en el templo del Señor, porque la casa del Señor estaba llena de la gloria del Señor.
3Y todos los hijos de Israel estaban mirando cuando el fuego bajó, y la gloria del Señor estaba en la casa; y se arrodillaron, con sus caras hacia la tierra, adorando y alabando al Señor, y diciendo: Él es bueno; porque su misericordia es para siempre.
4Entonces el rey y todo el pueblo hicieron ofrendas delante del Señor.
5El rey Salomón hizo una ofrenda de veintidós mil bueyes y ciento veinte mil ovejas. Así que el rey y todo el pueblo celebraron la fiesta de la dedicación del templo de Dios.
6Y los sacerdotes estaban en sus lugares, y los levitas con sus instrumentos musicales para el canto del Señor, que David el rey había hecho para la alabanza del Señor, cuya misericordia es para siempre, cuando David cantaba con ellos y los sacerdotes sonaron cuernos delante de ellos; y todo Israel estaba de pie.
7Entonces Salomón santificó la mitad del atrio frente al templo del Señor, ofreciendo allí las ofrendas quemadas y la grasa de las ofrendas de paz; porque no había lugar en el altar de bronce que Salomón había hecho para todas las ofrendas quemadas y las ofrendas de cereales y la grasa.
8Así que Salomón celebró la fiesta en ese tiempo durante siete días, y todo Israel con él, una reunión muy grande, porque la gente se había reunido desde Hamat y hasta el río de Egipto.
9Y al octavo día tuvieron una reunión santa; Las ofrendas para santificar el altar duraron siete días, y la fiesta solemne duró siete días.
10Y a los veintitrés días del mes séptimo, envió a la gente a sus tiendas, llenos de gozo y alegría en sus corazones, por todo el bien que el Señor había hecho a David a Salomón y a Israel su pueblo.
11Entonces Salomón llegó al final de la construcción del templo del Señor y del palacio del rey; y todo lo que estaba en su mente para hacer en él templo del Señor y para sí mismo había sido bien hecho.
12Entonces el Señor vino a Salomón en una visión nocturna y le dijo: He escuchado tu oración, y he tomado este lugar para mí como una casa donde se deben hacer ofrendas.
13Si, en mi palabra, el cielo está cerrado, para que no llueva, o si envío langostas sobre la tierra para su destrucción, o si envío enfermedad a mi pueblo;
14Si mi pueblo, de quien recibe mi nombre, se humilla y se acerca a mí en oración, buscándome y apartándose de sus malos caminos; entonces escucharé desde el cielo, ignorando su pecado, y sanaré su tierra.
15Ahora mis ojos estarán abiertos y mis oídos atentos a las oraciones hechas en este lugar.
16Porque he tomado esta casa para mí y la he santificado, para que mi nombre esté allí para siempre; y mis ojos y mi corazón estarán allí en todo momento.
17Y en cuanto a ti, si sigues tu camino delante de mí como lo hizo David tu padre, haciendo lo que te he ordenado y guardando mis leyes y mis decisiones:
18Entonces fortaleceré el trono de tu reino, según el pacto que le di a David, tu padre, diciendo: Nunca estarás sin un hombre que sea gobernante en Israel.
19Pero si te apartas de mí, y no guardas mis órdenes y mis leyes que he puesto delante de ti, sino vas y sirves a otros dioses, dándoles adoración:
20Entonces haré que esta gente sea desarraigada de la tierra que les he dado; y esta casa, que he santificado para mi nombre, la apartaré de mis ojos, y la convertiré en un ejemplo y una palabra de vergüenza entre todos los pueblos.
21Y este templo se convertirá en un montón de muros rotos, y todos los que pasen serán vencidos con asombro, y dirán: ¿Por qué el Señor lo ha hecho así a esta tierra y a este templo?
22Y su respuesta será: Porque fueron rechazados del Señor, el Dios de sus padres, que los sacaron de la tierra de Egipto, y tomaron para sí otros dioses y los adoraron y se convirtieron en sus sirvientes. por eso ha enviado todo este mal sobre ellos.

1Y COMO Salomón acabó de orar, el fuego descendió de los cielos, y consumió el holocausto y las víctimas; y la gloria de Jehová hinchió la casa.
2Y no podían entrar los sacerdotes en la casa de Jehová, porque la gloria de Jehová había henchido la casa de Jehová.
3Y como vieron todos los hijos de Israel descender el fuego y la gloria de Jehová sobre la casa, cayeron en tierra sobre sus rostros en el pavimento, y adoraron, confesando á Jehová y diciendo: Que es bueno, que su misericordia es para siempre.
4Entonces el rey y todo el pueblo sacrificaron víctimas delante de Jehová.
5Y ofreció el rey Salomón en sacrificio veinte y dos mil bueyes, y ciento veinte mil ovejas; y así dedicaron la casa de Dios el rey y todo el pueblo.
6Y los sacerdotes asistían en su ministerio; y los Levitas con los instrumentos de música de Jehová, los cuales había hecho el rey David para confesar á Jehová, que su misericordia es para siempre; cuando David alababa por mano de ellos. Asimismo los sacerdotes tañían trompetas delante de ellos, y todo Israel estaba en pie.
7También santificó Salomón el medio del atrio que estaba delante de la casa de Jehová, por cuanto había ofrecido allí los holocaustos, y los sebos de los pacíficos; porque en el altar de bronce que Salomón había hecho, no podían caber los holocaustos, y el presente, y los sebos.
8Entonces hizo Salomón fiesta siete días, y con él todo Israel, una grande congregación, desde la entrada de Hamath hasta el arroyo de Egipto.
9Al octavo día hicieron convocación, porque habían hecho la dedicación del altar en siete días, y habían celebrado la solemnidad por siete días.
10Y á los veintitrés del mes séptimo envió al pueblo á sus estancias, alegres y gozosos de corazón por los beneficios que Jehová había hecho á David, y á Salomón, y á su pueblo Israel.
11Acabó pues Salomón la casa de Jehová, y la casa del rey: y todo lo que Salomón tuvo en voluntad de hacer en la casa de Jehová y en su casa, fué prosperado.
12Y apareció Jehová á Salomón de noche, y díjole: Yo he oído tu oración, y he elegido para mí este lugar por casa de sacrificio.
13Si yo cerrare los cielos, que no haya lluvia, y si mandare á la langosta que consuma la tierra, ó si enviare pestilencia á mi pueblo;
14Si se humillare mi pueblo, sobre los cuales ni nombre es invocado, y oraren, y buscaren mi rostro, y se convirtieren de sus malos caminos; entonces yo oiré desde los cielos, y perdonaré sus pecados, y sanaré su tierra.
15Ahora estarán abiertos mis ojos, y atentos mis oídos, á la oración en este lugar:
16Pues que ahora he elegido y santificado esta casa, para que esté en ella mi nombre para siempre; y mis ojos y mi corazón estarán ahí para siempre.
17Y tú, si anduvieres delante de mí, como anduvo David tu padre, é hicieres todas las cosas que yo te he mandado, y guardares mis estatutos y mis derechos,
18Yo confirmaré el trono de tu reino, como concerté con David tu padre, diciendo: No faltará varón de ti que domine en Israel.
19Mas si vosotros os volviereis, y dejareis mis estatutos y mis preceptos que os he propuesto, y fuereis y sirviereis á dioses ajenos, y los adorareis,
20Yo los arrancaré de mi tierra que les he dado; y esta casa que he santificado á mi nombre, yo la echaré de delante de mí, y pondréla por proverbio y fábula en todos los pueblos.
21Y esta casa que habrá sido ilustre, será espanto á todo el que pasare, y dirá: ¿Por qué ha hecho así Jehová á esta tierra y á esta casa?
22Y se responderá: Por cuanto dejaron á Jehová Dios de sus padres, el cual los sacó de la tierra de Egipto, y han abrazado dioses ajenos, y los adoraron y sirvieron: por eso él ha traído todo este mal sobre ellos.
King James Version
1Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.
2And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’s house.
3And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
4Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.
5And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
6And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.
7Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat.
8Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
9And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.
10And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
11Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king’s house: and all that came into Solomon’s heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.
12And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
13If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
17And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
18Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
19But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
20Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.
21And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house?
22And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.
World English Bible
1Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the LORD’s glory filled the house.
2The priests could not enter into the LORD’s house, because the LORD’s glory filled the LORD’s house.
3All the children of Israel looked on, when the fire came down, and the LORD’s glory was on the house. They bowed themselves with their faces to the ground on the pavement, worshiped, and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, “For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever!”
4Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.
5King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle and a hundred twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated God’s house.
6The priests stood, according to their positions; the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to give thanks to the LORD, when David praised by their ministry, saying “For his loving kindness endures forever.” The priests sounded trumpets before them; and all Israel stood.
7Moreover Solomon made the middle of the court that was before the LORD’s house holy; for there he offered the burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offering, the meal offering, and the fat.
8So Solomon held the feast at that time for seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of Egypt.
9On the eighth day, they held a solemn assembly; for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.
10On the twenty-third day of the seventh month, he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that the LORD had shown to David, to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
11Thus Solomon finished the LORD’s house and the king’s house; and he successfully completed all that came into Solomon’s heart to make in the LORD’s house and in his own house.
12Then the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for myself for a house of sacrifice.
13“If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people,
14if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to prayer that is made in this place.
16For now I have chosen and made this house holy, that my name may be there forever; and my eyes and my heart will be there perpetually.
17“As for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances,
18then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, according as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘There shall not fail you a man to be ruler in Israel.’
19But if you turn away and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,
20then I will pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have made holy for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.
21This house, which is so high, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, ‘Why has the LORD done this to this land and to this house?’
22They shall answer, ‘Because they abandoned the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and took other gods, worshiped them, and served them. Therefore he has brought all this evil on them.’”
