Al cabo de veinte años, cuando Salomón había construido el templo del Señor y un palacio para sí mismo,

Y ACONTECIÓ que al cabo de veinte años que Salomón había edificado la casa de Jehová y su casa,

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,

Reconstruyó las ciudades que Hiram le había dado, haciendo que los hijos de Israel se establecieran allí.

También reconstruye Tadmor en el desierto, y de todas las ruinas de Hamat;

Y de Beth-horon, las ciudades más altas y las más bajas, amuralladas, con paredes, puertas y barras;

Also he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

Y de Baalat, y todos los pueblos de tiendas que Salomón tenía, y las ciudades donde guardaba sus carros de guerra y sus caballeros, y todo lo que tenía el placer de poner en Jerusalén y en el Líbano y en toda la tierra bajo su mando.

Y á Baalath, y á todas las villas de munición que Salomón tenía; también todas las ciudades de los carros y las de la gente de á caballo; y todo lo que Salomón quiso edificar en Jerusalem, y en el Líbano, y en toda la tierra de su señorío.

And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

En cuanto al resto de los hititas, amorreos, ferezeos, heveos y los jebuseos, que no eran de Israel:

Y á todo el pueblo que había quedado de los Hetheos, Amorrheos, Pherezeos, Heveos, y Jebuseos, que no eran de Israel,

As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,

Sus hombres que todavía vivían en la tierra, y a quienes los hijos de Israel no habían puesto fin, estos, Salomón los hizo tributarios, como se hace hasta hoy;

Pero Salomón no hizo uso de los hijos de Israel como siervos para su trabajo; eran hombres de guerra, sus jefes y sus capitanes, y capitanes de sus carros de guerra y sus jinetes.

Y estos eran los principales hombres en autoridad que tenía el rey Salomón: doscientos cincuenta de ellos, en autoridad sobre el pueblo.

Entonces Salomón hizo subir a la hija de Faraón de la ciudad de David a la casa que él había hecho para ella; porque él dijo: No permitiré que mi esposa viva en la casa de David, rey de Israel, porque los lugares donde el cofre del pacto ha venido son santos.

Y pasó Salomón á la hija de Faraón, de la ciudad de David á la casa que él le había edificado; porque dijo: Mi mujer no morará en la casa de David rey de Israel, porque aquellas habitaciones donde ha entrado el arca de Jehová, son sagradas.

And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.

Entonces Salomón hizo holocaustos al SEÑOR sobre el altar del Señor, que él había puesto delante del pórtico;

Para que ofreciesen cada cosa en su día, conforme al mandamiento de Moisés, en los sábados, en las nuevas lunas, y en las solemnidades, tres veces en el año, á saber, en la fiesta de los panes ázimos, en la fiesta de las semanas, y en la fiesta de las cabañas.

Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

Y les dio los turnos de los sacerdotes su lugar para su trabajo, como lo ordenó su padre David, y a los levitas les dio su trabajo de alabanza y ayudar a los sacerdotes, para hacer lo que se necesitaba día a día; y él les daba turnos a los guardias de las puertas en cada puerta; porque así David, el hombre de Dios, había dado órdenes.

Y constituyó los repartimientos de los sacerdotes en sus oficios, conforme á la ordenación de David su padre; y los Levitas por sus órdenes, para que alabasen y ministrasen delante de los sacerdotes, cada cosa en su día; asimismo los porteros por su orden á cada puerta: porque así lo había mandado David, varón de Dios.

And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

Todas las órdenes dadas por el rey a los sacerdotes y levitas, en relación con cualquier negocio o tesoros, se hicieron con cuidado.

Y no salieron del mandamiento del rey, cuanto á los sacerdotes y Levitas, y los tesoros, y todo negocio:

And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

Y toda la obra de Salomón se completó, desde el día en que puso la base de la casa del Señor en posición, hasta que Salomón llegó al final de la construcción de la casa del Señor.

Porque toda la obra de Salomón estaba preparada desde el día en que la casa de Jehová fué fundada hasta que se acabó, hasta que la casa de Jehová fué acabada del todo.

Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.

Entonces Salomón fue a Ezión-geber y a Elat junto al mar en la tierra de Edom.

Then went Solomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.

Hiram le envió, junto con sus siervos, barcos y marineros experimentados, que fueron con los siervos de Salomón a Ofir y regresaron con cuatrocientos cincuenta talentos de oro, que llevaron al rey Salomón.

Porque Hiram le había enviado navíos por mano de sus siervos, y marineros diestros en la mar, los cuales fueron con los siervos de Salomón á Ophir, y tomaron de allá cuatrocientos y cincuenta talentos de oro, y los trajeron al rey Salomón.

And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
