Pasados ya veinte años después que Salomón edificó la casa del Señor, y la suya propia,

Y ACONTECIÓ que al cabo de veinte años que Salomón había edificado la casa de Jehová y su casa,

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,

restauró las ciudades que Hiram le había dado o vuelto, e hizo que las habitasen los hijos de Israel.

Restauró asimismo a Bet-Horón la de arriba y a Bet-Horón de abajo, ciudades muradas y con puertas, barras y cerraduras;

Also he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

como también a Balaat y a todas las ciudades fortísimas que tenía Salomón , y todas las ciudades de los carros de guerra y las de la caballería. Ejecutó Salomón todo cuanto quiso e ideó, así en Jerusalén , como en el Líbano, y en todo el país de su dominio.

Y á Baalath, y á todas las villas de munición que Salomón tenía; también todas las ciudades de los carros y las de la gente de á caballo; y todo lo que Salomón quiso edificar en Jerusalem, y en el Líbano, y en toda la tierra de su señorío.

And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

A toda la gente que había quedado de los heteos, y amorreos, y ferezeos, y heveos, y jebuseos, los cuales no eran del linaje de Israel; esto es,

a los hijos y descendientes de aquellos a quienes los israelitas habían salvado la vida, Salomón los hizo tributarios o siervos, hasta el día de hoy.

Mas no echó mano de los hijos de Israel para trabajar en las obras del rey; porque éstos servían en la milicia, y de ellos eran los primeros oficiales, y los comandantes de los carros armados, y de la caballería.

Todos los jefes del ejército del rey Salomón eran doscientos cincuenta; los cuales adiestraban al pueblo.

A la hija del faraón la mudó de la ciudad de David a la casa que edificó para ella. Porque dijo el rey: No habitará mi mujer en la casa de David, rey de Israel; pues quedó esta casa santificada, por haberse hospedado en ella el arca del Señor.

Y pasó Salomón á la hija de Faraón, de la ciudad de David á la casa que él le había edificado; porque dijo: Mi mujer no morará en la casa de David rey de Israel, porque aquellas habitaciones donde ha entrado el arca de Jehová, son sagradas.

And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.

Entonces Salomón ofreció al Señor holocaustos sobre el altar del Señor, que había erigido delante del pórtico;

Para que ofreciesen cada cosa en su día, conforme al mandamiento de Moisés, en los sábados, en las nuevas lunas, y en las solemnidades, tres veces en el año, á saber, en la fiesta de los panes ázimos, en la fiesta de las semanas, y en la fiesta de las cabañas.

Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

Distribuyó también, según las disposiciones de su padre David, las funciones de los sacerdotes en sus ministerios; y estableció el orden que debían guardar los levitas respecto al canto y al cumplimiento de sus oficios delante de los sacerdotes, según el rito de cada día; y el repartimiento de los porteros en cada una de las puertas; porque así lo había ordenado David, varón de Dios.

Y constituyó los repartimientos de los sacerdotes en sus oficios, conforme á la ordenación de David su padre; y los Levitas por sus órdenes, para que alabasen y ministrasen delante de los sacerdotes, cada cosa en su día; asimismo los porteros por su orden á cada puerta: porque así lo había mandado David, varón de Dios.

And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

Y tanto los sacerdotes como los levitas observaron puntualmente todas cuantas órdenes les dio el rey sobre esto, y sobre la custodia de los tesoros.

Y no salieron del mandamiento del rey, cuanto á los sacerdotes y Levitas, y los tesoros, y todo negocio:

And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

Salomón tuvo prevenidos todos los gastos, desde el día en que echó los cimientos de la casa del Señor, hasta el día en que la acabó.

Porque toda la obra de Salomón estaba preparada desde el día en que la casa de Jehová fué fundada hasta que se acabó, hasta que la casa de Jehová fué acabada del todo.

Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.

Entonces fue Salomón a Asiongaber y a Ailat, a la ribera del mar Rojo, que pertenece a Idumea;

Entonces Salomón fué á Esion-geber, y á Eloth, á la costa de la mar en la tierra de Edom.

Then went Solomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.

a donde el rey Hiram le remitió por medio de sus siervos, naves y marineros prácticos del mar, que fueron con la gente de Salomón a Ofir, y trajeron de allí cuatrocientos cincuenta talentos de oro al rey Salomón .

Porque Hiram le había enviado navíos por mano de sus siervos, y marineros diestros en la mar, los cuales fueron con los siervos de Salomón á Ophir, y tomaron de allá cuatrocientos y cincuenta talentos de oro, y los trajeron al rey Salomón.

And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
