El rey tenía una flota de barcos mercantes que navegaban a Tarsis junto con los marineros de Hiram. Cada tres años, los barcos regresaban de Tarsis cargados de oro, plata, marfil, monos y pavorreales.

Porque la flota del rey iba á Tharsis con los siervos de Hiram, y cada tres años solían venir las naves de Tharsis, y traían oro, plata, marfil, simios, y pavos.
