2 Corintios 10

Or moi-même, Paul, je vous exhorte par la douceur et la débonnaireté du Christ, moi qui, présent, quant à l’apparence suis chétif au milieu de vous, mais qui, absent, use de hardiesse envers vous… ;

EMPERO yo Pablo, os ruego por la mansedumbre y modestia de Cristo, yo que presente ciertamente soy bajo entre vosotros, mas ausente soy confiado entre vosotros:

Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

Now I Paul, myself, entreat you by the humility and gentleness of Christ, I who in your presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you.

mais je vous supplie que, lorsque je serai présent, je n’use pas de hardiesse avec cette assurance avec laquelle je pense que je prendrai sur moi d’agir envers quelques-uns qui pensent que nous marchons selon la chair.

Ruego pues, que cuando estuviere presente, no tenga que ser atrevido con la confianza con que estoy en ánimo de ser resuelto para con algunos, que nos tienen como si anduviésemos según la carne.

But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

Yes, I beg you that I may not, when present, show courage with the confidence with which I intend to be bold against some, who consider us to be walking according to the flesh.

Car, en marchant dans la chair, nous ne combattons pas selon la chair ;

Pues aunque andamos en la carne, no militamos según la carne,

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh;

car les armes de notre guerre ne sont pas charnelles, mais puissantes par Dieu pour la destruction des forteresses,

(Porque las armas de nuestra milicia no son carnales, sino poderosas en Dios para la destrucción de fortalezas;)

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds,

détruisant les raisonnements et toute hauteur qui s’élève contre la connaissance de Dieu, et amenant toute pensée captive à l’obéissance du Christ,

Destruyendo consejos, y toda altura que se levanta contra la ciencia de Dios, y cautivando todo intento á la obediencia de Cristo;

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

et étant prêts à tirer vengeance de toute désobéissance, après que votre obéissance aura été rendue complète.

Y estando prestos para castigar toda desobediencia, cuando vuestra obediencia fuere cumplida.

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience when your obedience is made full.

Considérez-vous les choses selon l’apparence ? Si quelqu’un a la confiance en lui-même d’être à Christ, qu’il pense encore ceci en lui-même, que, comme lui-même est à Christ, ainsi nous aussi †nous sommes à Christ.

Miráis las cosas según la apariencia. Si alguno está confiado en sí mismo que es de Cristo, esto también piense por sí mismo, que como él es de Cristo, así también nosotros somos de Cristo.

Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.

Do you look at things only as they appear in front of your face? If anyone trusts in himself that he is Christ’s, let him consider this again with himself, that even as he is Christ’s, so we also are Christ’s.

Car si même je me glorifiais un peu plus de notre autorité que le Seigneur nous a donnée pour l’édification et non pas pour votre destruction, je ne serais pas confus ;

Porque aunque me gloríe aún un poco de nuestra potestad (la cual el Señor nos dió para edificación y no para vuestra destrucción), no me avergonzaré;

For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

For even if I boast somewhat abundantly concerning our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for casting you down, I will not be ashamed,

– afin que je ne paraisse pas comme si je vous effrayais par mes lettres.

Porque no parezca como que os quiero espantar por cartas.

That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.

that I may not seem as if I desire to terrify you by my letters.

Car ses lettres, dit-on, sont graves et fortes, mais sa présence personnelle est faible et sa parole méprisable.

Porque á la verdad, dicen, las cartas son graves y fuertes; mas la presencia corporal flaca, y la palabra menospreciable.

For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

For, “His letters”, they say, “are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech is despised.”

Qu’un tel homme estime que, tels que nous sommes en parole par nos lettres, étant absents, tels aussi nous sommes de fait, étant présents.

Esto piense el tal, que cuales somos en la palabra por cartas estando ausentes, tales seremos también en hechos, estando presentes.

Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.

Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such are we also in deed when we are present.

Car nous n’osons pas nous ranger parmi quelques-uns qui se recommandent eux-mêmes, ou nous comparer à eux ; mais eux, se mesurant eux-mêmes par eux-mêmes, et se comparant eux-mêmes à eux-mêmes, ne sont pas intelligents ;

Porque no osamos entremeternos ó compararnos con algunos que se alaban á sí mismos: mas ellos, midiéndose á sí mismos por sí mismos, y comparándose consigo mismos no son juiciosos.

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

For we are not bold to number or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves. But they themselves, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves with themselves, are without understanding.

mais nous, nous ne nous glorifierons pas dans ce qui est au-delà de notre mesure, mais selon la mesure de la règle que le Dieu de mesure nous a départie pour parvenir aussi jusqu’à vous.

Nosotros empero, no nos gloriaremos fuera de nuestra medida, sino conforme á la medida de la regla, de la medida que Dios nos repartió, para llegar aun hasta vosotros.

But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.

But we will not boast beyond proper limits, but within the boundaries with which God appointed to us, which reach even to you.

Car nous ne nous étendons pas nous-mêmes plus qu’il ne faut, comme si nous ne parvenions pas jusqu’à vous, (car nous sommes arrivés même jusqu’à vous dans †la prédication de l’évangile du Christ,)

Porque no nos extendemos sobre nuestra medida, como si no llegásemos hasta vosotros: porque también hasta vosotros hemos llegado en el evangelio de Cristo:

For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:

For we don’t stretch ourselves too much, as though we didn’t reach to you. For we came even as far as to you with the Good News of Christ,

ne nous glorifiant pas dans ce qui est au-delà de notre mesure, dans les travaux d’autrui, mais ayant espérance, votre foi s’accroissant, d’être abondamment agrandis au milieu de vous, selon notre règle,

No gloriándonos fuera de nuestra medida en trabajos ajenos; mas teniendo esperanza del crecimiento de vuestra fe, que seremos muy engrandecidos entre vosotros, conforme á nuestra regla.

Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,

not boasting beyond proper limits in other men’s labors, but having hope that as your faith grows, we will be abundantly enlarged by you in our sphere of influence,

pour évangéliser dans les lieux qui sont au-delà de vous, non pas pour nous glorifier dans la règle d’autrui, des choses déjà toutes préparées.

Y que anunciaremos el evangelio en los lugares más allá de vosotros, sin entrar en la medida de otro para gloriarnos en lo que ya estaba aparejado.

To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand.

so as to preach the Good News even to the parts beyond you, not to boast in what someone else has already done.

Mais que celui qui se glorifie, se glorifie dans le Seigneur ;

Mas el que se gloría, gloríese en el Señor.

But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”

car ce n’est pas celui qui se recommande lui-même qui est approuvé, mais celui que le Seigneur recommande.

Porque no el que se alaba á sí mismo, el tal es aprobado; mas aquel á quien Dios alaba.

For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
