10Les he escrito esta carta con la esperanza de que cuando los visite no tenga que ser duro y usar mi autoridad. Quiero emplear la autoridad que me confirió el Señor para ayudarlos a madurar y no para destruirlos.

10Por tanto os escribo esto ausente, por no tratar presente con dureza, conforme á la potestad que el Señor me ha dado para edificación, y no para destrucción.

10Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

10For this cause I write these things while absent, that I may not deal sharply when present, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.
