Esta carta é enviada por mim, Paulo, nomeado pela vontade de Deus para ser apóstolo de Jesus Cristo e pelo querido irmão Timóteo. Estamos escrevendo a todos vocês, os santos de Corinto e de toda a Acaia.
PABLO, apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, y Timoteo el hermano, á la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, juntamente con todos los santos que están por toda la Acaya:
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

Que Deus, nosso Pai, e o Senhor Jesus Cristo abençoem poderosamente a cada um de vocês com sua graça e paz.

Que Deus maravilhoso nós temos! Ele é o Pai do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, Pai de toda a misericórdia e Deus de toda consolação.

Ele é aquele que tão maravilhosamente nos conforta e fortalece nas dificuldades e provações, para que, quando os outros estiverem aflitos, necessitados da nossa compaixão e do nosso estímulo, possamos transmitir-lhes esse mesmo consolo que Deus nos deu.
El cual nos consuela en todas nuestras tribulaciones, para que podamos también nosotros consolar á los que están en cualquiera angustia, con la consolación con que nosotros somos consolados de Dios.
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Podem estar seguros de que, quanto mais suportarmos sofrimento por causa de Cristo, mais ele derramará sobre nós o seu consolo.
Porque de la manera que abundan en nosotros las aflicciones de Cristo, así abunda también por el mismo Cristo nuestra consolación.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.
Se sofremos, é para levar-lhes o consolo e a salvação de Deus. Mas em nossa dificuldade Deus nos tem confortado, e vocês também receberão forças para suportar com paciência os mesmos sofrimentos que nós suportamos.
Mas si somos atribulados, es por vuestra consolación y salud; la cual es obrada en el sufrir las mismas aflicciones que nosotros también padecemos: ó si somos consolados, es por vuestra consolación y salud;
And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.
Desse modo, a nossa esperança em relação a vocês está firme, porque sabemos que, da mesma forma que vocês participam dos nossos sofrimentos, também participarão do nosso conforto.
Y nuestra esperanza de vosotros es firme; estando ciertos que como sois compañeros de las aflicciones, así también lo sois de la consolación.
And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so you are also of the comfort.
Vocês devem saber, amados irmãos, que passamos por tempos difíceis na província da Ásia. Fomos realmente esmagados e oprimidos, a tal ponto que perdemos a esperança de conseguir sobreviver.
Porque hermanos, no queremos que ignoréis de nuestra tribulación que nos fué hecha en Asia; que sobremanera fuimos cargados sobre nuestras fuerzas de tal manera que estuviésemos en duda de la vida.
For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
For we don’t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life.
Sentimos que estávamos condenados à morte e percebemos que éramos fracos demais para confiarmos em nós mesmos; isso, porém, foi bom, porque assim nós colocamos tudo nas mãos de Deus, o único que ressuscita os mortos.
Mas nosotros tuvimos en nosotros mismos respuesta de muerte, para que no confiemos en nosotros mismos, sino en Dios que levanta los muertos:
But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,
E ele nos livrou e nos salvou de uma morte terrível; sim, nele temos colocado a nossa esperança e esperamos que ele continuará a livrar-nos.
El cual nos libró, y libra de tanta muerte; en el cual esperamos que aun nos librará;
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver, on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us,
Mas vocês também precisam ajudar-nos, orando por nós. Muita gratidão e louvor serão oferecidos a Deus por vocês, por causa das respostas às orações feitas a favor da nossa segurança!
Ayudándonos también vosotros con oración por nosotros, para que por la merced hecha á nos por respeto de muchos, por muchos sean hechas gracias por nosotros.
Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift given to us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf.
Estamos tão satisfeitos que podemos dizer, com toda a franqueza, que em toda a nossa conduta temos sido puros e sinceros confiando na graça do Senhor e não na sabedoria do mundo.
Porque nuestra gloria es esta: el testimonio de nuestra conciencia, que con simplicidad y sinceridad de Dios, no con sabiduría carnal, mas con la gracia de Dios, hemos conversado en el mundo, y muy más con vosotros.
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.
Temos sido francos e sinceros ao escrevermos a vocês; e escrevemos de tal forma que vocês pudessem ler e entender.
Porque no os escribimos otras cosas de las que leéis, ó también conocéis: y espero que aun hasta el fin las conoceréis:
For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end;
For we write no other things to you than what you read or even acknowledge, and I hope you will acknowledge to the end—
E já que, mesmo assim, vocês ainda não me entenderam bem, espero que um dia vocês me entenderão plenamente, para que possam orgulhar-se de mim, tal como nos orgulharemos de vocês naquele dia quando nosso Senhor Jesus voltar.
Como también en parte habéis conocido que somos vuestra gloria, así como también vosotros la nuestra, para el día del Señor Jesús.
As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
as also you acknowledged us in part—that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
Em vista de estar tão certo da compreensão e da confiança de vocês foi que planejei vê-los para que pudessem ser abençoados duplamente
Y con esta confianza quise primero ir á vosotros, para que tuvieseis una segunda gracia;
And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit;
In this confidence, I was determined to come first to you, that you might have a second benefit,
em minha viagem para a Macedônia, assim como depois, quando eu voltasse, pudessem me ajudar na minha jornada para a Judeia.
Y por vosotros pasar á Macedonia, y de Macedonia venir otra vez á vosotros, y ser vuelto de vosotros á Judea.
And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea.

Então, poderão estar indagando vocês, por que mudei de plano? Será que eu realmente ainda não me havia decidido? Ou serei eu como um homem do mundo, que diz “sim”, quando na realidade quer dizer “não”?
Así que, pretendiendo esto, ¿usé quizá de liviandad? ó lo que pienso hacer, ¿piénsolo según la carne, para que haya en mí Sí y No?
When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?
When I therefore planned this, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “Yes, yes” and the “No, no?”
Nunca! Tão certo como Deus é fiel, eu não sou esse tipo de pessoa. Meu “sim” quer dizer “sim”.
Antes, Dios fiel sabe que nuestra palabra para con vosotros no es Sí y No.
But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.
But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not “Yes and no.”
Timóteo, Silvano e eu temos falado a vocês a respeito de Jesus Cristo, o Filho de Deus. Ele não é alguém que diga “sim” quando quer dizer “não”. Ele sempre faz exatamente como diz.
Porque el Hijo de Dios, Jesucristo, que por nosotros ha sido entre vosotros predicado, por mí y Silvano y Timoteo, no ha sido Sí y No; mas ha sido Sí en él.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not “Yes and no,” but in him is “Yes.”
Ele cumpre todas as promessas divinas, não importa quantas delas existam; e nós temos mostrado a todos como ele é fiel, e com isso damos glória ao seu nome.
Porque todas las promesas de Dios son en él Sí, y en él Amén, por nosotros á gloria de Dios.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.
Foi este Deus quem nos transformou, a mim e a vocês, para que permaneçamos firmes em Cristo, e nos ungiu.
Y el que nos confirma con vosotros en Cristo, y el que nos ungió, es Dios;
Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
Now he who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,
Ele gravou em nós a sua marca — seu sinal de propriedade — e nos deu seu Espírito Santo em nosso coração como garantia de que nós lhe pertencemos e das coisas que ele vai nos dar.
El cual también nos ha sellado, y dado la prenda del Espíritu en nuestros corazones.
Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
who also sealed us and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.
Invoco a Deus como testemunha de que foi para não entristecê-los com uma severa repreensão que ainda não fui para Corinto visitá-los.
Mas yo llamo á Dios por testigo sobre mi alma, que por ser indulgente con vosotros no he pasado todavía á Corinto.
Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
But I call God for a witness to my soul, that to spare you, I didn’t come to Corinth.
Não estamos querendo dominar sobre a sua fé; desejamos poder fazer algo para a alegria de vocês, pois é pela fé que vocês permanecem firmes.
No que nos enseñoreemos de vuestra fe, mas somos ayudadores de vuestro gozo: porque por la fe estáis firmes.
Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
We don’t control your faith, but are fellow workers with you for your joy. For you stand firm in faith.
