Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

Dios, padre nuestro , y el Señor Jesucristo os den gracias y paz.
Gracia y paz á vosotros de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesucristo.
Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Bendito sea Dios, Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo el Padre de las misericordias y Dios de toda consolación,

el cual nos consuela en todas nuestras tribulaciones, para que podamos también nosotros consolar a los que se hallan en cualquier trabajo, con la misma consolación con que nosotros somos consolados por Dios.

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Porque a medida que se aumentan en nosotros las aflicciones por amor de Cristo , se aumenta también nuestra consolación por Cristo .
Porque de la manera que abundan en nosotros las aflicciones de Cristo, así abunda también por el mismo Cristo nuestra consolación.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.
Porque si somos atribulados, lo somos para vuestra edificación y salud; si somos consolados, lo somos para vuestra consolación; si somos confortados, lo somos para confortación y salvación vuestra, cuya obra se perfecciona con la paciencia con que sufrís las mismas penas que igualmente sufrimos nosotros.
Mas si somos atribulados, es por vuestra consolación y salud; la cual es obrada en el sufrir las mismas aflicciones que nosotros también padecemos: ó si somos consolados, es por vuestra consolación y salud;
And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.
De suerte que nuestra esperanza es firme por lo tocante a vosotros, sabiendo que así como sois compañeros en las penas, así lo seréis también en la consolación.
Y nuestra esperanza de vosotros es firme; estando ciertos que como sois compañeros de las aflicciones, así también lo sois de la consolación.
And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so you are also of the comfort.
Pues no quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis la tribulación que padecimos en el Asia, los males de que nos vimos abrumados, tan excesivos y tan superiores a nuestras fuerzas, que nos hacían pesada la misma vida.
Porque hermanos, no queremos que ignoréis de nuestra tribulación que nos fué hecha en Asia; que sobremanera fuimos cargados sobre nuestras fuerzas de tal manera que estuviésemos en duda de la vida.
For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
For we don’t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life.
Pero si sentimos pronunciar allá dentro de nosotros el fallo de nuestra muerte, fue a fin de que no pusiésemos nuestra confianza en nosotros, sino en Dios, que resucita a los muertos.
Mas nosotros tuvimos en nosotros mismos respuesta de muerte, para que no confiemos en nosotros mismos, sino en Dios que levanta los muertos:
But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,
El cual nos ha librado y nos libra aun de tan graves peligros de muerte; y en quien confiamos que todavía nos ha de librar,
El cual nos libró, y libra de tanta muerte; en el cual esperamos que aun nos librará;
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver, on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us,
ayudándonos vosotros también con vuestras oraciones, a fin de que muchos den gracias del beneficio que gozamos, ya que es para bien de muchas personas.
Ayudándonos también vosotros con oración por nosotros, para que por la merced hecha á nos por respeto de muchos, por muchos sean hechas gracias por nosotros.
Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift given to us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf.
Porque toda nuestra gloria consiste en el testimonio que nos da la conciencia de haber procedido en este mundo con sencillez de corazón y sinceridad delante de Dios, no con la prudencia de la carne, sino según la gracia de Dios o espíritu de la buena nueva, y especialmente entre vosotros.
Porque nuestra gloria es esta: el testimonio de nuestra conciencia, que con simplicidad y sinceridad de Dios, no con sabiduría carnal, mas con la gracia de Dios, hemos conversado en el mundo, y muy más con vosotros.
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.
Yo no os escribo sino cosas cuya verdad conocéis al leerlas. Y espero que la reconoceréis hasta el fin,
Porque no os escribimos otras cosas de las que leéis, ó también conocéis: y espero que aun hasta el fin las conoceréis:
For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end;
For we write no other things to you than what you read or even acknowledge, and I hope you will acknowledge to the end—
pues ya en parte habéis reconocido que nosotros somos vuestra gloria, como vosotros seréis la nuestra, en el día, o juicio, de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Como también en parte habéis conocido que somos vuestra gloria, así como también vosotros la nuestra, para el día del Señor Jesús.
As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
as also you acknowledged us in part—that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
Y con esta confianza quise primero ir a visitaros, a fin de que recibieseis una segunda gracia,

And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit;
In this confidence, I was determined to come first to you, that you might have a second benefit,
y pasar desde ahí a Macedonia, y volver otra vez desde Macedonia a vosotros, y ser de vosotros encaminado a Judea.
Y por vosotros pasar á Macedonia, y de Macedonia venir otra vez á vosotros, y ser vuelto de vosotros á Judea.
And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea.
and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be sent forward by you on my journey to Judea.
Habiendo, pues, sido ésta mi voluntad, ¿acaso he dejado de ejecutarla por inconstancia? ¿O las cosas que resuelvo, las resuelvo a gusto de la carne, de modo que ya diga sí, ya no?
Así que, pretendiendo esto, ¿usé quizá de liviandad? ó lo que pienso hacer, ¿piénsolo según la carne, para que haya en mí Sí y No?
When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?
When I therefore planned this, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “Yes, yes” and the “No, no?”
Mas Dios verdadero me es testigo de que en la palabra o doctrina que os he anunciado, nada ha habido del sí y del no.
Antes, Dios fiel sabe que nuestra palabra para con vosotros no es Sí y No.
But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.
But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not “Yes and no.”
Porque Jesucristo, Hijo de Dios que os hemos predicado nosotros, esto es, yo, y Silvano, y Timoteo, no es tal que se hallen en él, el sí y el no, sino que en él todo es inmutable, un sí invariable.
Porque el Hijo de Dios, Jesucristo, que por nosotros ha sido entre vosotros predicado, por mí y Silvano y Timoteo, no ha sido Sí y No; mas ha sido Sí en él.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not “Yes and no,” but in him is “Yes.”
Pues todas cuantas promesas hay de Dios, tienen en éste sí su verdad; y también por él mismo todo tiene su infalible cumplimiento para honra y gloria de Dios, lo cual hace también la gloria de nuestro ministerio.
Porque todas las promesas de Dios son en él Sí, y en él Amén, por nosotros á gloria de Dios.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.
Así, Dios es el que a nosotros junto con vosotros nos confirma en la fe de Cristo , y el que nos ha ungido con su unción.
Y el que nos confirma con vosotros en Cristo, y el que nos ungió, es Dios;
Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
Now he who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,
El que así mismo nos ha marcado con su sello, y que por arras de los bienes que nos ha prometido, nos da el Espíritu Santo en nuestros corazones.
El cual también nos ha sellado, y dado la prenda del Espíritu en nuestros corazones.
Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
who also sealed us and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.
Por lo que a mí hace, tomo a Dios por testigo, y deseo que me castigue, si no digo la verdad, que el no haber pasado todavía a Corinto ha sido para poder ser indulgente con vosotros,
Mas yo llamo á Dios por testigo sobre mi alma, que por ser indulgente con vosotros no he pasado todavía á Corinto.
Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
But I call God for a witness to my soul, that to spare you, I didn’t come to Corinth.
no es esto porque dominemos en vuestra fe; al contrario procuramos contribuir a vuestro gozo, puesto que permanecéis firmes en la fe que recibisteis.
No que nos enseñoreemos de vuestra fe, mas somos ayudadores de vuestro gozo: porque por la fe estáis firmes.
Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
We don’t control your faith, but are fellow workers with you for your joy. For you stand firm in faith.
