ESTO pues determiné para conmigo, no venir otra vez á vosotros con tristeza.

Car si je vous attriste, qui est-ce qui me donnera de la joie, sinon celui que j'aurai moi-même attristé ?

For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
For if I make you grieve, then who will make me glad but he who is made to grieve by me?
Et j'ai écrit cela même, afin que, quand je serai arrivé, je ne reçoive pas de la tristesse de ceux de qui je devrais recevoir de la joie, ayant en vous tous cette confiance que ma joie est la vôtre à tous.
Y esto mismo os escribí, porque cuando llegare no tenga tristeza sobre tristeza de los que me debiera gozar; confiando en vosotros todos que mi gozo es el de todos vosotros.
And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

Car je vous ai écrit dans une grande affliction et le cœur serré de douleur, avec beaucoup de larmes ; non pas afin que vous fussiez attristés, mais que vous connussiez l'amour que j'ai abondamment pour vous.
Porque por la mucha tribulación y angustia del corazón os escribí con muchas lágrimas; no para que fueseis contristados, mas para que supieseis cuánto más amor tengo para con vosotros.
For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.

de sorte que vous devez plutôt lui pardonner et le consoler ; de peur qu'il ne soit accablé par une trop grande tristesse.
Así que, al contrario, vosotros más bien lo perdonéis y consoléis, porque no sea el tal consumido de demasiada tristeza.
So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.

à ceux-ci, une odeur de la mort, pour la mort ; et à ceux-là, une odeur de la vie, pour la vie. Et qui est suffisant pour ces choses ?
A éstos ciertamente olor de muerte para muerte; y á aquéllos olor de vida para vida. Y para estas cosas ¿quién es suficiente?
To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
to the one a stench from death to death, to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?
Car nous ne falsifions point la Parole de Dieu, comme plusieurs font ; mais c'est avec sincérité, mais c'est de la part de Dieu, en la présence de Dieu, que nous parlons en Christ.
Porque no somos como muchos, mercaderes falsos de la palabra de Dios: antes con sinceridad, como de Dios, delante de Dios, hablamos en Cristo.
