Esto, por lo tanto, determiné para conmigo, no ir otra vez a ustedes con tristeza.

Y esto mismo les escribí, para que cuando llegue no tenga tristeza de parte de aquellos de quienes me debiera gozar; confiando en ustedes todos que mi gozo es el de todos ustedes.

Pero si alguno me ha causado tristeza, no me la ha causado a mí solo, sino en cierto modo (por no exagerar) a todos ustedes.

Le basta a tal persona esta reprensión hecha por muchos;

Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.

So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.

Puesto que no somos como muchos, que medran falsificando la palabra de Dios, sino que con sinceridad, como de parte de Dios, y delante de Dios, hablamos en Cristo.
