Foi o próprio Deus, em sua misericórdia, que nos deu este trabalho maravilhoso, e por isso nunca desanimamos.
POR lo cual teniendo nosotros esta administración según la misericordia que hemos alcanzado, no desmayamos;

Não procuramos enganar o povo para que creia — não estamos interessados em fazer trapaça com ninguém. Nunca procuramos fazer com que alguém creia que a palavra de Deus ensina o que ela não ensina. Nós nos abstemos de todos esses métodos vergonhosos. Achamo-nos na presença de Deus quando expomos a palavra, e por isso dizemos a verdade, como todos quantos nos conhecem concordarão.
Antes quitamos los escondrijos de vergüenza, no andando con astucia, ni adulterando la palabra de Dios, sino por manifestación de la verdad encomendándonos á nosotros mismos á toda conciencia humana delante de Dios.

Se para alguém o evangelho que pregamos está oculto, ele está oculto para aquele que está se perdendo.
Que si nuestro evangelio está aún encubierto, entre los que se pierden está encubierto:

Satanás, o deus deste mundo pecaminoso, o fez cego, incapaz de ver a luz do evangelho da glória de Cristo, que mostra como Deus realmente é.
En los cuales el dios de este siglo cegó los entendimientos de los incrédulos, para que no les resplandezca la lumbre del evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, el cual es la imagen de Dios.
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Nós não vamos de um lado para outro pregando-nos a nós mesmos, mas a Cristo Jesus como Senhor. Tudo quanto dizemos de nós mesmos é que somos escravos de vocês por causa daquilo que Jesus fez por nós.
Porque no nos predicamos á nosotros mismos, sino á Jesucristo, el Señor; y nosotros vuestros siervos por Jesús.

Pois Deus, que disse: “Haja luz na escuridão”, nos fez compreender que é o brilho da sua glória que se vê no rosto de Jesus Cristo.
Porque Dios, que mandó que de las tinieblas resplandeciese la luz, es el que resplandeció en nuestros corazones, para iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en la faz de Jesucristo.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Entretanto, este tesouro precioso está encerrado num vaso de barro, isto é, no nosso corpo fraco. Todo mundo pode ver que o poder glorioso que está dentro provém de Deus, e não de nós.
Tenemos empero este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la alteza del poder sea de Dios, y no de nosotros:
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

De todos os lados somos oprimidos pelas dificuldades, porém não somos esmagados. Ficamos perplexos porque não sabemos a razão de certas coisas nos acontecerem, mas não desesperados.
Estando atribulados en todo, mas no angustiados; en apuros, mas no desesperamos;
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;
Somos perseguidos, mas não abandonados. Somos abatidos, mas não somos destruídos.
Perseguidos, mas no desamparados; abatidos, mas no perecemos;
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;
Este nosso corpo está constantemente enfrentando a morte, tal como aconteceu com Jesus; assim, fica bem claro a todos que a vida de Jesus é revelada em nosso corpo.
Llevando siempre por todas partes la muerte de Jesús en el cuerpo, para que también la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestros cuerpos.
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

Sim, vivemos sob constante perigo de morte para nossas vidas por amor a Jesus, para que a sua vida também se manifeste em nossos corpos mortais.
Porque nosotros que vivimos, siempre estamos entregados á muerte por Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestra carne mortal.
For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

De modo que a morte está agindo em nós, porém isso resulta em vida para vocês.

E sabemos que o mesmo Deus que ressuscitou o Senhor Jesus da morte também nos ressuscitará com Jesus, e nos apresentará a ele juntamente com vocês.

Estes nossos sofrimentos são para o benefício de vocês. E, quantos mais dentre vocês forem ganhos para Cristo pela sua graça, maior será o número de pessoas que farão orações de agradecimento para a glória de Deus.
Porque todas estas cosas padecemos por vosotros, para que abundando la gracia por muchos, en el hacimiento de gracias sobreabunde á gloria de Dios.
For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

Por isso nunca desanimamos. Embora os nossos corpos se gastem, a força interior vai se renovando dia a dia.
Por tanto, no desmayamos: antes aunque este nuestro hombre exterior se va desgastando, el interior empero se renueva de día en día.

Estes nossos sofrimentos e aflições, leves e momentâneos, não durarão muito tempo. Entretanto, este curto tempo de angústia resultará em uma glória eterna sobre nós para todo o sempre!
Porque lo que al presente es momentáneo y leve de nuestra tribulación, nos obra un sobremanera alto y eterno peso de gloria;
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Portanto, não olhamos para aquilo que podemos ver atualmente, mas olhamos para aquilo que não se vê. Pois o que se pode ver dura apenas pouco tempo, mas o que não se vê durará eternamente.
No mirando nosotros á las cosas que se ven, sino á las que no se ven: porque las cosas que se ven son temporales, mas las que no se ven son eternas.
