2 Corintios 4

1Perciò, avendo questo ministerio in virtù della misericordia che ci è stata fatta, noi non veniam meno nell’animo,
2ma abbiam rinunziato alle cose nascoste e vergognose, non procedendo con astuzia né falsificando la parola di Dio, ma mediante la manifestazione della verità raccomandando noi stessi alla coscienza di ogni uomo nel cospetto di Dio.
3E se il nostro vangelo è ancora velato, è velato per quelli che son sulla via della perdizione,
4per gl’increduli, dei quali l’iddio di questo secolo ha accecato le menti, affinché la luce dell’evangelo della gloria di Cristo, che è l’immagine di Dio, non risplenda loro.
5Poiché noi non predichiamo noi stessi, ma Cristo Gesù qual Signore, e quanto a noi ci dichiariamo vostri servitori per amor di Gesù;
6perché l’Iddio che disse: Splenda la luce fra le tenebre, è quel che risplendé ne’ nostri cuori affinché noi facessimo brillare la luce della conoscenza della gloria di Dio che rifulge nel volto di Gesù Cristo.
7Ma noi abbiamo questo tesoro in vasi di terra, affinché l’eccellenza di questa potenza sia di Dio e non da noi.
8Noi siamo tribolati in ogni maniera, ma non ridotti all’estremo; perplessi, ma non disperati;
9perseguitati, ma non abbandonati; atterrati, ma non uccisi;
10portiam sempre nel nostro corpo la morte di Gesù, perché anche la vita di Gesù si manifesti nel nostro corpo;
11poiché noi che viviamo, siam sempre esposti alla morte per amor di Gesù, onde anche la vita di Gesù sia manifestata nella nostra carne mortale.
12Talché la morte opera in noi, ma la vita in voi.
13Ma siccome abbiam lo stesso spirito di fede, ch’è in quella parola della Scrittura: Ho creduto, perciò ho parlato, anche noi crediamo, e perciò anche parliamo,
14sapendo che Colui che risuscitò il Signor Gesù, risusciterà anche noi con Gesù, e ci farà comparir con voi alla sua presenza.
15Poiché tutte queste cose avvengono per voi, affinché la grazia essendo abbondata, faccia sì che sovrabbondi per bocca di un gran numero il ringraziamento alla gloria di Dio.
16Perciò noi non veniamo meno nell’animo; ma quantunque il nostro uomo esterno si disfaccia, pure il nostro uomo interno si rinnova di giorno in giorno.
17Perché la nostra momentanea, leggera afflizione ci produce un sempre più grande, smisurato peso eterno di gloria,
18mentre abbiamo lo sguardo intento non alle cose che si vedono, ma a quelle che non si vedono; poiché le cose che si vedono son solo per un tempo, ma quelle che non si vedono sono eterne.

1POR lo cual teniendo nosotros esta administración según la misericordia que hemos alcanzado, no desmayamos;
2Antes quitamos los escondrijos de vergüenza, no andando con astucia, ni adulterando la palabra de Dios, sino por manifestación de la verdad encomendándonos á nosotros mismos á toda conciencia humana delante de Dios.
3Que si nuestro evangelio está aún encubierto, entre los que se pierden está encubierto:
4En los cuales el dios de este siglo cegó los entendimientos de los incrédulos, para que no les resplandezca la lumbre del evangelio de la gloria de Cristo, el cual es la imagen de Dios.
5Porque no nos predicamos á nosotros mismos, sino á Jesucristo, el Señor; y nosotros vuestros siervos por Jesús.
6Porque Dios, que mandó que de las tinieblas resplandeciese la luz, es el que resplandeció en nuestros corazones, para iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en la faz de Jesucristo.
7Tenemos empero este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la alteza del poder sea de Dios, y no de nosotros:
8Estando atribulados en todo, mas no angustiados; en apuros, mas no desesperamos;
9Perseguidos, mas no desamparados; abatidos, mas no perecemos;
10Llevando siempre por todas partes la muerte de Jesús en el cuerpo, para que también la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestros cuerpos.
11Porque nosotros que vivimos, siempre estamos entregados á muerte por Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús sea manifestada en nuestra carne mortal.
12De manera que la muerte obra en nosotros, y en vosotros la vida.
13Empero teniendo el mismo espíritu de fe, conforme á lo que está escrito: Creí, por lo cual también hablé: nosotros también creemos, por lo cual también hablamos;
14Estando ciertos que el que levantó al Señor Jesús, á nosotros también nos levantará por Jesús, y nos pondrá con vosotros.
15Porque todas estas cosas padecemos por vosotros, para que abundando la gracia por muchos, en el hacimiento de gracias sobreabunde á gloria de Dios.
16Por tanto, no desmayamos: antes aunque este nuestro hombre exterior se va desgastando, el interior empero se renueva de día en día.
17Porque lo que al presente es momentáneo y leve de nuestra tribulación, nos obra un sobremanera alto y eterno peso de gloria;
18No mirando nosotros á las cosas que se ven, sino á las que no se ven: porque las cosas que se ven son temporales, mas las que no se ven son eternas.

1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
12So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
13We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
14Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
15For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

1Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don’t faint.
2But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying,
4in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.
5For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake,
6seeing it is God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.
8We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;
9pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;
10always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
11For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.
12So then death works in us, but life in you.
13But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.” We also believe, and therefore we also speak,
14knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also through Jesus, and will present us with you.
15For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
16Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.
17For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory,
18while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
