Porque nós sabemos que quando morrermos e deixarmos este corpo teremos um maravilhoso corpo novo no céu, um lar que será nosso para todo o sempre, feito para nós pelo próprio Deus, e não por mãos humanas.
PORQUE sabemos, que si la casa terrestre de nuestra habitación se deshiciere, tenemos de Dios un edificio, una casa no hecha de manos, eterna en los cielos.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Como vamos ficando cada vez mais cansados deste corpo atual! Eis por que esperamos com ansiedade o dia quando teremos um corpo celestial, que vestiremos com roupas novas.
Y por esto también gemimos, deseando ser sobrevestidos de aquella nuestra habitación celestial;
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
For most certainly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,
Porque nós não seremos apenas espíritos sem corpo.
Puesto que en verdad habremos sido hallados vestidos, y no desnudos.
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

Este nosso corpo terreno nos faz gemer e suspirar, porém não gostaríamos de pensar em morrer e depois não possuir corpo algum. Desejamos revestir-nos do nosso novo corpo, de maneira tal que este corpo mortal seja absorvido pela vida.
Porque asimismo los que estamos en este tabernáculo, gemimos agravados; porque no quisiéramos ser desnudados, sino sobrevestidos, para que lo mortal sea absorbido por la vida.
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened, not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
Isso é o que Deus preparou para nós e, como garantia, ele nos deu o seu Espírito Santo.
Mas el que nos hizo para esto mismo, es Dios; el cual nos ha dado la prenda del Espíritu.
Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Spirit.
Agora estamos confiantes e compreendemos que cada instante que gastamos neste corpo terreno é tempo gasto longe do nosso lar eterno, com o Senhor.
Así que vivimos confiados siempre, y sabiendo, que entre tanto que estamos en el cuerpo, peregrinamos ausentes del Señor;
Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

Sabemos que essas coisas são verdadeiras pelo que cremos, e não pelo que vemos.
(Porque por fe andamos, no por vista;)

E não estamos com medo, e sim bem animados para deixar de viver neste corpo, porque assim habitaremos com o Senhor.
Mas confiamos, y más quisiéramos partir del cuerpo, y estar presentes al Señor.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
We are courageous, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
Assim, o nosso alvo é agradá-lo sempre em tudo quanto fazemos, quer estejamos aqui neste corpo ou fora deste corpo.
Por tanto procuramos también, ó ausentes, ó presentes, serle agradables:
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him.
Porque todos nós teremos de comparecer diante do tribunal de Cristo para sermos julgados. Cada um de nós receberá o que merecer pelas coisas boas ou más que tiver feito neste corpo terreno.
Porque es menester que todos nosotros parezcamos ante el tribunal de Cristo, para que cada uno reciba según lo que hubiere hecho por medio del cuerpo, ora sea bueno ó malo.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

É por causa desse reverente temor ao Senhor, sempre presente em nossas vidas, que trabalhamos tão arduamente para ganhar os outros. Deus conhece nosso coração, e sabe que ele é sincero nessa questão; e eu espero que vocês, bem no íntimo, verdadeiramente o saibam também.
Estando pues poseídos del temor del Señor, persuadimos á los hombres, mas á Dios somos manifiestos; y espero que también en vuestras conciencias somos manifiestos.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Estamos nós procurando elogiar-nos a nós mesmos outra vez? Na verdade estamos dando a oportunidade de exultarem em nós. Vocês podem usar isso com aqueles que andam se gabando de terem boa aparência e não têm corações verdadeiros e sinceros.
No nos encomendamos pues otra vez á vosotros, sino os damos ocasión de gloriaros por nosotros, para que tengáis qué responder contra los que se glorían en las apariencias, y no en el corazón.
For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
For we are not commending ourselves to you again, but speak as giving you occasion of boasting on our behalf, that you may have something to answer those who boast in appearance and not in heart.
Estaremos loucos (em dizer tais coisas sobre nós mesmos)? Se assim for, é para dar glória a Deus. E se estamos em são juízo, é para benefício de vocês.
Porque si loqueamos, es para Dios; y si estamos en seso, es para vosotros.
For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God. Or if we are of sober mind, it is for you.
Qualquer coisa que nós façamos, não é certamente para o nosso próprio proveito, mas porque o amor de Cristo agora nos governa. Visto que cremos que Cristo morreu por todos, devemos crer também que já morremos para a velha vida.
Porque el amor de Cristo nos constriñe, pensando esto: Que si uno murió por todos, luego todos son muertos;
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
For the love of Christ compels us; because we judge thus: that one died for all, therefore all died.
Ele morreu por todos, para que todos quantos vivem — tendo recebido dele a vida eterna — possam viver não mais para si mesmos, para agradar-se a si mesmos, mas para aquele que morreu e novamente ressuscitou por eles.
Y por todos murió, para que los que viven, ya no vivan para sí, mas para aquel que murió y resucitó por ellos.
And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.
Portanto, deixem de ficar avaliando os servos de Cristo pelo que o mundo pensa a respeito deles, ou por aquilo que aparentam ser exteriormente. Antigamente, erradamente considerávamos Cristo como um simples ser humano igual a nós. Como pensamos de modo diferente agora!
De manera que nosotros de aquí adelante á nadie conocemos según la carne: y aun si á Cristo conocimos según la carne, empero ahora ya no le conocemos.
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
Therefore we know no one according to the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
Quando alguém está em Cristo, torna-se uma pessoa totalmente nova por dentro. Já não é mais a mesma pessoa. As coisas antigas já passaram e teve início uma nova vida!
De modo que si alguno está en Cristo, nueva criatura es: las cosas viejas pasaron; he aquí todas son hechas nuevas.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
Todas essas coisas novas vêm de Deus, que nos trouxe de volta a si mesmo por meio daquilo que Cristo Jesus fez. E Deus nos deu o privilégio de insistir com todos para que se reconciliem com ele.
Y todo esto es de Dios, el cual nos reconcilió á sí por Cristo; y nos dió el ministerio de la reconciliación.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Pois Deus estava em Cristo, reconciliando o mundo para si, não levando mais em conta os pecados dos homens contra eles, e sim apagando-os. Esta mensagem maravilhosa da reconciliação ele nos deu para transmitir aos outros.
Porque ciertamente Dios estaba en Cristo reconciliando el mundo á sí, no imputándole sus pecados, y puso en nosotros la palabra de la reconciliación.
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Somos embaixadores de Cristo. Deus nos está usando para falar a vocês. Nós lhes imploramos, como se o próprio Cristo estivesse aqui suplicando a vocês: Aceitem o amor que ele lhes oferece — reconciliem-se com Deus.
Así que, somos embajadores en nombre de Cristo, como si Dios rogase por medio nuestro; os rogamos en nombre de Cristo: Reconciliaos con Dios.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
Aquele que não conheceu pecado, ele o fez pecado por nós, para que nele nos tornássemos justiça de Deus.
Al que no conoció pecado, hizo pecado por nosotros, para que nosotros fuésemos hechos justicia de Dios en él.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
