Sabemos también, que si esta casa terrestre o el cuerpo corruptible en que habitamos viene a destruirse, nos dará Dios en el cielo otra casa, una casa no hecha de mano de hombre, y que durará eternamente.
PORQUE sabemos, que si la casa terrestre de nuestra habitación se deshiciere, tenemos de Dios un edificio, una casa no hecha de manos, eterna en los cielos.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Que aun por eso aquí suspiramos deseando la sobrevestidura del ropaje de gloria, o la habitación nuestra del cielo,
Y por esto también gemimos, deseando ser sobrevestidos de aquella nuestra habitación celestial;
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
For most certainly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,
si es que fuéremos hallados vestidos de buenas obras, y no desnudos.
Puesto que en verdad habremos sido hallados vestidos, y no desnudos.
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

Así también es que mientras nos hallamos en este cuerpo como en una tienda de campaña, gemimos agobiados bajo su pesantez; pues no querríamos vernos despojados de él, sino ser revestidos como por encima, de manera que la vida inmortal absorba y haga desaparecer lo que hay de mortalidad en nosotros.
Porque asimismo los que estamos en este tabernáculo, gemimos agravados; porque no quisiéramos ser desnudados, sino sobrevestidos, para que lo mortal sea absorbido por la vida.
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened, not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
Y el que nos formó o creó para este estado de gloria es Dios, el cual nos ha dado su espíritu por prenda.

Por esto estamos siempre llenos de confianza, y como sabemos que, mientras habitamos en este cuerpo, estamos distantes del Señor y fuera de nuestra patria
Así que vivimos confiados siempre, y sabiendo, que entre tanto que estamos en el cuerpo, peregrinamos ausentes del Señor;

En esta confianza que tenemos, preferimos más ser separados del cuerpo, a fin de gozar de la vista del Señor.
Mas confiamos, y más quisiéramos partir del cuerpo, y estar presentes al Señor.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
We are courageous, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
Por esta razón todo nuestro deseo consiste en hacernos agradables al Señor, ora habitemos en el cuerpo, ora salgamos de él, para irnos con Dios,
Por tanto procuramos también, ó ausentes, ó presentes, serle agradables:
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him.
siendo como es forzoso que todos comparezcamos ante el tribunal de Cristo , para que cada uno reciba el pago debido a las buenas o malas acciones que habrá hecho mientras ha estado revestido de su cuerpo.
Porque es menester que todos nosotros parezcamos ante el tribunal de Cristo, para que cada uno reciba según lo que hubiere hecho por medio del cuerpo, ora sea bueno ó malo.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

No nos encomendamos pues otra vez á vosotros, sino os damos ocasión de gloriaros por nosotros, para que tengáis qué responder contra los que se glorían en las apariencias, y no en el corazón.

y que Cristo murió por todos, para que los que viven, no vivan ya para sí, sino para el que murió y resucitó por ellos.

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Por esta razón nosotros de ahora en adelante no conocemos a nadie según la carne. Y si antes conocimos a Cristo en cuanto a la carne, ahora ya no le conocemos así.
De manera que nosotros de aquí adelante á nadie conocemos según la carne: y aun si á Cristo conocimos según la carne, empero ahora ya no le conocemos.
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
Therefore we know no one according to the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
Por tanto, si alguno está en Cristo ya es una criatura nueva, se acabo lo que era viejo, y todo viene a ser nuevo; pues que todo ha sido renovado.
De modo que si alguno está en Cristo, nueva criatura es: las cosas viejas pasaron; he aquí todas son hechas nuevas.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Y toda ella es obra de Dios, el cual nos ha reconciliado consigo por medio de Cristo , y a nosotros nos ha confiado el ministerio de la reconciliación.
Y todo esto es de Dios, el cual nos reconcilió á sí por Cristo; y nos dió el ministerio de la reconciliación.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

Porque Dios era el que reconciliaba consigo al mundo en Jesucristo, no imputándoles a ellos sus delitos, y él es el que nos ha encargado a nosotros predicar la reconciliación.
Porque ciertamente Dios estaba en Cristo reconciliando el mundo á sí, no imputándole sus pecados, y puso en nosotros la palabra de la reconciliación.
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Somos, pues, como unos embajadores en nombre de Cristo , y es Dios mismo el que nos exhorta por boca nuestra. Os rogamos, pues, encarecidamente en nombre de Cristo , que os reconciliéis con Dios.
Así que, somos embajadores en nombre de Cristo, como si Dios rogase por medio nuestro; os rogamos en nombre de Cristo: Reconciliaos con Dios.

El cual por amor de nosotros ha tratado a aquel que no conocía al pecado, como si hubiese sido el pecado mismo, con el fin de que nosotros viniésemos a ser en él justos con la justicia de Dios.
Al que no conoció pecado, hizo pecado por nosotros, para que nosotros fuésemos hechos justicia de Dios en él.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
