Yo, un anciano en la iglesia, a la hermana que es escogida de Dios, y a sus hijos, por quienes tengo amor verdadero; y no solo yo, sino todos los que conocen la verdad;

Debido a este conocimiento verdadero que está en nosotros, y estará con nosotros para siempre:

Porque una cantidad de falsos maestros han salido al mundo, que no dan testimonio de que Jesucristo vino en la carne. Tal es un falso maestro y Anticristo.
Porque muchos engañadores son entrados en el mundo, los cuales no confiesan que Jesucristo ha venido en carne. Este tal el engañador es, y el anticristo.
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who don’t confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the Antichrist.
Tengan ustedes cuidado, para no perder el fruto de nuestro trabajo, sino que puedan obtener su recompensa completa.
Mirad por vosotros mismos, porque no perdamos las cosas que hemos obrado, sino que recibamos galardón cumplido.
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
Watch yourselves, that we don’t lose the things which we have accomplished, but that we receive a full reward.
Cualquiera que continúe más allá de lo que Cristo enseñó y no obedezca las enseñanzas de Cristo, no tiene a Dios; el que obedece las enseñanzas, tiene al Padre y al Hijo.
Cualquiera que se rebela, y no persevera en la doctrina de Cristo, no tiene á Dios: el que persevera en la doctrina de Cristo, el tal tiene al Padre y al Hijo.
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Whoever transgresses and doesn’t remain in the teaching of Christ doesn’t have God. He who remains in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
Si alguno viene a ti sin tener esta enseñanza, no lo lleves a tu casa ni le den la “bienvenida”
Si alguno viene á vosotros, y no trae esta doctrina, no lo recibáis en casa, ni le digáis: ¡bienvenido!
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
If anyone comes to you and doesn’t bring this teaching, don’t receive him into your house, and don’t welcome him,
porque el que le da la “bienvenida” tiene parte en sus malas obras.
Porque el que le dice bienvenido, comunica con sus malas obras.
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
for he who welcomes him participates in his evil deeds.
Teniendo mucho que decirte, no es mi propósito dejarlo todo con papel y tinta: pero espero ir a ti y conversar contigo cara a cara, para que tu alegría sea completa.
Aunque tengo muchas cosas que escribiros, no he querido comunicarlas por medio de papel y tinta; mas espero ir á vosotros, y hablar boca á boca, para que nuestro gozo sea cumplido.
