Et ils eurent une très-grande peur, et dirent : Voilà, deux Rois n’ont point pu tenir contre lui, comment donc pourrions-nous nous soutenir ?
Mas ellos tuvieron gran temor, y dijeron: He aquí dos reyes no pudieron resistirle, ¿cómo le resistiremos nosotros?

Ceux-là donc qui avaient la charge de la maison, et ceux qui étaient commis sur la ville, et les Anciens, et les nourriciers mandèrent à Jéhu, en disant : Nous sommes tes serviteurs, nous ferons tout ce que tu nous diras ; nous ne ferons personne Roi, fais ce qui te semblera bon.

And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.
He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying, “We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes.”
Et il leur écrivit des Lettres pour la seconde fois, en ces termes : Si vous êtes à moi, et si vous obéissez à ma voix, prenez les têtes des fils de votre maître, et venez vers moi demain à cette heure-ci à Jizréhel. Or les fils du Roi, qui étaient soixante et dix-hommes, étaient avec les plus grands de la ville qui les nourrissaient.
El entonces les escribió la segunda vez, diciendo: Si sois míos, y queréis obedecerme, tomad las cabezas de los varones hijos de vuestro señor, y venid mañana á estas horas á mí á Jezreel. Y los hijos del rey, setenta varones, estaban con los principales de la ciudad, que los criaban.

Et il sortit au matin, et s’étant arrêté, il dit à tout le peuple : Vous êtes justes ; voici j’ai fait une ligue contre mon Seigneur, et je l’ai tué ; et qui est-ce qui a frappé tous ceux-ci ?
Venida la mañana, salió él, y estando en pie dijo á todo el pueblo: Vosotros sois justos: he aquí yo he conspirado contra mi señor, y lo he muerto: ¿mas quién ha muerto á todos estos?
And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye be righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?

Sachez maintenant qu’il ne tombera rien en terre de la parole de l’Eternel, laquelle l’Eternel a prononcée contre la maison d’Achab ; et que l’Eternel a fait ce dont il avait parlé par le moyen de son serviteur Elie.

Jéhu tua aussi tous ceux qui étaient demeurés de reste de la maison d’Achab à Jizréhel, et tous ceux qu’il avait avancés et ses familiers amis, et ses principaux officiers, en sorte qu’il ne lui en laissa pas un de reste.
Mató entonces Jehú á todos los que habían quedado de la casa de Achâb en Jezreel, y á todos sus príncipes, y á todos sus familiares, y á sus sacerdotes, que no le quedó ninguno.

Halló allí á los hermanos de Ochôzías rey de Judá, y díjoles: ¿Quién sois vosotros? Y ellos dijeron: Somos hermanos de Ochôzías, y hemos venido á saludar á los hijos del rey, y á los hijos de la reina.
Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.

Et Jéhu étant parti de là, trouva Jonadab fils de Réchab, qui venait au- devant de lui, lequel il salua, et lui dit : Ton coeur est-il aussi droit envers moi que mon coeur l’est à ton égard ? Et Jonadab répondit : Il l’est ; oui il l’est, donne-moi ta main ; et il lui donna sa main, et le fit monter avec lui dans le chariot.
Partiéndose luego de allí encontróse con Jonadab hijo de Rechâb; y después que lo hubo saludado, díjole: ¿Es recto tu corazón, como el mío es recto con el tuyo? Y Jonadab dijo: Lo es. Pues que lo es, dame la mano. Y él le dió su mano. Hízolo luego subir consigo en el carro.
And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me thine hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.
When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him, “Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?” Jehonadab answered, “It is.” “If it is, give me your hand.” He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.
Puis il dit : Viens avec moi, et tu verras le zèle que j’ai pour l’Eternel. Ainsi on le mena dans son chariot.

Et quand Jéhu fut venu à Samarie, il tua tous ceux qui étaient demeurés de reste de la maison d’Achab à Samarie, jusqu’à ce qu’il eût tout exterminé, selon la parole que l’Eternel avait dite à Elie.
Y luego que hubo Jehú llegado á Samaria, mató á todos los que habían quedado de Achâb en Samaria, hasta extirparlos, conforme á la palabra de Jehová, que había hablado por Elías.
And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spake to Elijah.

Puis Jéhu assembla tout le peuple, et leur dit : Achab n’a servi qu’un peu Bahal ; mais Jéhu le servira beaucoup.

Maintenant donc appelez-moi tous les Prophètes de Bahal, tous ses serviteurs, et tous ses Sacrificateurs ; qu’il n’y en manque pas un, car j’ai à faire un grand sacrifice à Bahal. Quiconque ne s’y trouvera pas il ne vivra point. Or Jéhu faisait cela par finesse, pour faire périr les serviteurs de Bahal.
Llamadme pues luego á todos los profetas de Baal, á todos sus siervos, y á todos sus sacerdotes; que no falte uno, porque tengo un gran sacrifico para Baal; cualquiera que faltare, no vivirá. Esto hacía Jehú con astucia, para destruir á los que honraban á Baal.
Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.

And Jehu said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed it.

Et Jéhu envoya par tout Israël, et tous les serviteurs de Bahal vinrent ; il n’y en eut pas un qui n’y vînt ; et ils entrèrent dans la maison de Bahal, et la maison de Bahal fut remplie depuis un bout jusqu’à l’autre.
Y envió Jehú por todo Israel, y vinieron todos los siervos de Baal, que no faltó ninguno que no viniese. Y entraron en el templo de Baal, y el templo de Baal se llenó de cabo á cabo.

Alors il dit à celui qui avait la charge du revestiaire : Tires-en des vêtements pour tous les serviteurs de Bahal ; et il leur en tira des vêtements.

And he said unto him that was over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forth vestments.
He said to him who kept the wardrobe, “Bring out robes for all the worshipers of Baal!” So he brought robes out to them.
Et Jéhu et Jonadab fils de Réchab entrèrent dans la maison de Bahal, et Jéhu dit aux serviteurs de Bahal : Cherchez diligemment, et regardez que par hasard il n’y ait ici entre vous quelqu’un des serviteurs de l’Eternel ; et prenez garde qu’il n’y ait que les seuls serviteurs de Bahal.
Y entró Jehú con Jonadab hijo de Rechâb en el templo de Baal, y dijo á los siervos de Baal: Mirad y ved que por dicha no haya aquí entre vosotros alguno de los siervos de Jehová, sino solos los siervos de Baal.
And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.
Jehu went with Jehonadab the son of Rechab into the house of Baal. Then he said to the worshipers of Baal, “Search, and see that none of the servants of the LORD are here with you, but only the worshipers of Baal.”
Ils entrèrent donc pour faire des sacrifices et des holocaustes. Or Jéhu avait fait mettre par dehors quatre-vingts hommes, et leur avait dit : S’il y a quelqu’un de ces hommes que je m’en vais mettre entre vos mains, qui en échappe, la vie de chacun de vous répondra pour la vie de cet homme.
Y como ellos entraron para hacer sacrificios y holocaustos, Jehú puso fuera ochenta hombres, y díjoles: Cualquiera que dejare vivo alguno de aquellos hombres que yo he puesto en vuestras manos, su vida será por la del otro.
And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.
So they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed for himself eighty men outside, and said, “If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escape, he who lets him go, his life shall be for the life of him.”
Et il arriva que dès qu’on eut achevé de faire l’holocauste, Jéhu dit aux archers et aux capitaines : Entrez, tuez-les, et que nul n’échappe. Les archers donc et les capitaines les passèrent au fil de l’épée, et les jetèrent là, puis ils s’en allèrent jusqu’à la ville de la maison de Bahal.
Y después que acabaron ellos de hacer el holocausto, Jehú dijo á los de su guardia y á los capitanes: Entrad, y matadlos; que no escape ninguno. Y los hirieron á cuchillo: y dejáronlos tendidos los de la guardia y los capitanes, y fueron hasta la ciudad del templo de Baal.
And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.
As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, “Go in and kill them! Let no one escape.” So they struck them with the edge of the sword. The guard and the captains threw the bodies out, and went to the inner shrine of the house of Baal.
Et ils tirèrent dehors les statues de la maison de Bahal, et les brûlèrent.
Y sacaron las estatuas de la casa de Baal, y quemáronlas.
And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them.

Et ils démolirent la statue de Bahal. Ils démolirent aussi la maison de Bahal, et la firent servir de retraits, jusqu’à ce jour.
Y quebraron la estatua de Baal, y derribaron la casa de Baal, é hiciéronla necesaria, hasta hoy.
And they brake down the image of Baal, and brake down the house of Baal, and made it a draught house unto this day.

Ainsi Jéhu extermina Bahal d’Israël.

Toutefois Jéhu ne se détourna point des péchés de Jéroboam fils de Nébat, par lesquels il avait fait pécher Israël, savoir des veaux d’or qui étaient à Bethel, et à Dan.
Con todo eso Jehú no se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, que hizo pecar á Israel; á saber, de en pos de los becerros de oro que estaban en Beth-el y en Dan.
Howbeit from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after them, to wit, the golden calves that were in Beth-el, and that were in Dan.
However, Jehu didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin—the golden calves that were in Bethel and that were in Dan.
Et l’Eternel dit à Jéhu : Parce que tu as fort bien exécuté ce qui était droit devant moi, et que tu as fait à la maison d’Achab tout ce que j’avais en mon coeur, tes fils seront assis sur le trône d’Israël jusqu’à la quatrième génération.
Y Jehová dijo á Jehú: Por cuanto has hecho bien ejecutando lo recto delante de mis ojos, é hiciste á la casa de Achâb conforme á todo lo que estaba en mi corazón, tus hijos se sentarán sobre el trono de Israel hasta la cuarta generación.
And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.
The LORD said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in executing that which is right in my eyes, and have done to Ahab’s house according to all that was in my heart, your descendants shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”
Mais Jéhu ne prit point garde à marcher de tout son coeur dans la loi de l’Eternel le Dieu d’Israël, et il ne se détourna point des péchés de Jéroboam par lesquels il avait fait pécher Israël.

En ce temps-là l’Eternel commença à retrancher quelque partie du Royaume d’Israël, car Hazaël battit les Israëlites dans toutes les frontières.
En aquellos días comenzó Jehová á talar en Israel: é hiriólos Hazael en todos los términos de Israel,
In those days the LORD began to cut Israel short: and Hazael smote them in all the coasts of Israel;

Depuis le Jourdain jusqu’au soleil levant savoir dans tout le pays de Galaad, des Gadites, des Rubénites, et de ceux de Manassé, depuis Haroher, qui est sur le torrent d’Arnon, jusqu’en Galaad et en Basan.
