Ahab aber hatte siebzig Söhne zu Samaria. Und Jehu schrieb Briefe und sandte sie nach Samaria an die Obersten von Israel, an die Ältesten und Hofmeister Ahabs, die lauteten also:

Y TENÍA Achâb en Samaria setenta hijos; y escribió letras Jehú, y enviólas á Samaria á los principales de Jezreel, á los ancianos y á los ayos de Achâb, diciendo:

And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to them that brought up Ahab’s children, saying,

Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, even the elders, and to those who brought up Ahab’s sons, saying,

Sobald dieser Brief zu euch kommt, die ihr über eures Herrn Söhne, Wagen, Pferde und über feste Städte und Rüstungen verfügt, so sehet,

Luego en llegando estas letras á vosotros los que tenéis los hijos de vuestro señor, y los que tenéis carros y gente de á caballo, la ciudad pertrechada, y las armas,

Now as soon as this letter cometh to you, seeing your master’s sons are with you, and there are with you chariots and horses, a fenced city also, and armour;

“Now as soon as this letter comes to you, since your master’s sons are with you, and you have chariots and horses, a fortified city also, and armor,

welcher der beste und rechtschaffenste unter den Söhnen eures Herrn sei, und setzet ihn auf seines Vaters Thron und kämpfet für das Haus eures Herrn!

Mirad cuál es el mejor y él más recto de los hijos de vuestro señor, y ponedlo en el trono de su padre, y pelead por la casa de vuestro señor.

Look even out the best and meetest of your master’s sons, and set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.

select the best and fittest of your master’s sons, set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.”

Sie aber fürchteten sich sehr und sprachen: Siehe, die zwei Könige konnten nicht vor ihm bestehen, wie wollen denn wir bestehen?

Mas ellos tuvieron gran temor, y dijeron: He aquí dos reyes no pudieron resistirle, ¿cómo le resistiremos nosotros?

But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, Behold, two kings stood not before him: how then shall we stand?

Und sie, die Vorgesetzten des Hauses und der Stadt, und die Ältesten und Hofmeister sandten hin zu Jehu und ließen ihm sagen: Wir sind deine Knechte und wollen alles tun, was du uns sagst! Wir wollen niemand zum König machen; tue was dir gefällt!

Y el mayordomo, y el presidente de la ciudad, y los ancianos, y los ayos, enviaron á decir á Jehú: Siervos tuyos somos, y haremos todo lo que nos mandares: no elegiremos por rey á ninguno; tú harás lo que bien te pareciere.

And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.

He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying, “We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes.”

Da schrieb er einen andern Brief an sie, der lautete also: Wollt ihr es mit mir halten und meiner Stimme gehorchen, so nehmet die Köpfe der Männer, der Söhne eures Herrn, und bringet sie morgen um diese Zeit zu mir gen Jesreel! Aber die Königssöhne, siebzig Mann, waren bei den Vornehmsten der Stadt, die sie auferzogen.

El entonces les escribió la segunda vez, diciendo: Si sois míos, y queréis obedecerme, tomad las cabezas de los varones hijos de vuestro señor, y venid mañana á estas horas á mí á Jezreel. Y los hijos del rey, setenta varones, estaban con los principales de la ciudad, que los criaban.

Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye be mine, and if ye will hearken unto my voice, take ye the heads of the men your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow this time. Now the king’s sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up.

Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, “If you are on my side, and if you will listen to my voice, take the heads of the men who are your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by tomorrow this time.” Now the king’s sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who brought them up.

Als nun der Brief zu ihnen kam, nahmen sie die Königssöhne und töteten sie, siebzig Mann, und legten ihre Köpfe in Körbe und sandten sie zu ihm nach Jesreel.

Y como las letras llegaron á ellos, tomaron á los hijos del rey, y degollaron setenta varones, y pusieron sus cabezas en canastillos, y enviáronselas á Jezreel.

And it came to pass, when the letter came to them, that they took the king’s sons, and slew seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent him them to Jezreel.

Und als der Bote kam und es ihm berichtete und sprach: Sie haben die Köpfe der Königssöhne gebracht! da sprach er: Leget sie in zwei Haufen draußen vor das Tor bis zum Morgen!

Y vino un mensajero que le dió las nuevas, diciendo: Traído han las cabezas de los hijos del rey. Y él le dijo: Ponedlas en dos montones á la entrada de la puerta hasta la mañana.

And there came a messenger, and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king’s sons. And he said, Lay ye them in two heaps at the entering in of the gate until the morning.

A messenger came and told him, “They have brought the heads of the king’s sons.” He said, “Lay them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning.”

Und am Morgen, als er hinausging, trat er hin und sprach zu allem Volk: Ihr seid gerecht! Siehe, ich habe wider meinen Herrn eine Verschwörung gemacht und ihn umgebracht. Wer aber hat diese alle erschlagen?

Venida la mañana, salió él, y estando en pie dijo á todo el pueblo: Vosotros sois justos: he aquí yo he conspirado contra mi señor, y lo he muerto: ¿mas quién ha muerto á todos estos?

And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye be righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?

In the morning, he went out and stood, and said to all the people, “You are righteous. Behold, I conspired against my master and killed him, but who killed all these?

So erkennet nun, daß kein Wort des HERRN auf die Erde gefallen ist, das der HERR wider das Haus Ahabs geredet hat, sondern der HERR hat getan, wie er durch seinen Knecht Elia geredet hat.

Sabed ahora que de la palabra de Jehová que habló sobre la casa de Achâb, nada caerá en tierra: y que Jehová ha hecho lo que dijo por su siervo Elías.

Know now that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORD spake concerning the house of Ahab: for the LORD hath done that which he spake by his servant Elijah.

Know now that nothing will fall to the earth of the LORD’s word, which the LORD spoke concerning Ahab’s house. For the LORD has done that which he spoke by his servant Elijah.”

Also erschlug Jehu zu Jesreel alle Übrigen vom Hause Ahabs und seine Gewaltigen, seine Bekannten und seine vertrauten Räte, daß ihm nicht einer übrigblieb.

Mató entonces Jehú á todos los que habían quedado de la casa de Achâb en Jezreel, y á todos sus príncipes, y á todos sus familiares, y á sus sacerdotes, que no le quedó ninguno.

So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.

So Jehu struck all that remained of Ahab’s house in Jezreel, with all his great men, his familiar friends, and his priests, until he left him no one remaining.

Darnach machte er sich auf und zog nach Samaria. Unterwegs aber war ein Hirtenhaus.

Y levantóse de allí, y vino á Samaria; y llegando él en el camino á una casa de esquileo de pastores,

And he arose and departed, and came to Samaria. And as he was at the shearing house in the way,

Da traf Jehu die Brüder Ahasias, des Königs von Juda, an und sprach: Wer seid ihr? Sie sprachen: Wir sind die Brüder Ahasias und ziehen hinab, um die Söhne des Königs und die Söhne der Gebieterin zu begrüßen.

Halló allí á los hermanos de Ochôzías rey de Judá, y díjoles: ¿Quién sois vosotros? Y ellos dijeron: Somos hermanos de Ochôzías, y hemos venido á saludar á los hijos del rey, y á los hijos de la reina.

Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.

Jehu met with the brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, “Who are you?” They answered, “We are the brothers of Ahaziah. We are going down to greet the children of the king and the children of the queen.”

Er aber sprach: Greift sie lebendig! Und sie griffen sie lebendig und erstachen sie bei dem Brunnen am Hirtenhause, zweiundvierzig Mann; und er ließ nicht einen von ihnen übrig.

Entonces él dijo: Prendedlos vivos. Y después que los tomaron vivos, degolláronlos junto al pozo de la casa de esquileo, cuarenta y dos varones, sin dejar ninguno de ellos.

And he said, Take them alive. And they took them alive, and slew them at the pit of the shearing house, even two and forty men; neither left he any of them.

He said, “Take them alive!” They took them alive, and killed them at the pit of the shearing house, even forty-two men. He didn’t leave any of them.

Und als er von dannen zog, fand er Jonadab, den Sohn Rechabs, der ihm entgegenkam; und er grüßte ihn und sprach zu ihm: Ist dein Herz aufrichtig, wie mein Herz mit deinem Herzen? Jonadab sprach: Ja! Wenn es so ist, so gib mir deine Hand! Und er gab ihm seine Hand.

Partiéndose luego de allí encontróse con Jonadab hijo de Rechâb; y después que lo hubo saludado, díjole: ¿Es recto tu corazón, como el mío es recto con el tuyo? Y Jonadab dijo: Lo es. Pues que lo es, dame la mano. Y él le dió su mano. Hízolo luego subir consigo en el carro.

And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me thine hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him, “Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?” Jehonadab answered, “It is.” “If it is, give me your hand.” He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

Da ließ er ihn zu sich auf den Wagen sitzen und sprach: Komm mit mir und siehe meinen Eifer für den HERRN! Und er führte ihn auf seinem Wagen.

Y díjole: Ven conmigo, y verás mi celo por Jehová. Pusiéronlo pues en su carro.

And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.

He said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD.” So they made him ride in his chariot.

Und als er nach Samaria kam, erschlug er alles, was von Ahab in Samaria noch übrig war, bis er ihn vertilgt hatte, gemäß dem Worte des HERRN, das er zu Elia geredet hatte.

Y luego que hubo Jehú llegado á Samaria, mató á todos los que habían quedado de Achâb en Samaria, hasta extirparlos, conforme á la palabra de Jehová, que había hablado por Elías.

And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spake to Elijah.

When he came to Samaria, he struck all who remained to Ahab in Samaria, until he had destroyed them, according to the LORD’s word which he spoke to Elijah.

Und Jehu versammelte alles Volk und sprach zu ihnen: Ahab hat dem Baal wenig gedient, Jehu will ihm besser dienen!

Y juntó Jehú todo el pueblo, y díjoles: Achâb sirvió poco á Baal; mas Jehú lo servirá mucho.

And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.

Jehu gathered all the people together, and said to them, “Ahab served Baal a little, but Jehu will serve him much.

So beruft nun alle Propheten Baals, alle seine Knechte und alle seine Priester zu mir, daß niemand fehle; denn ich habe dem Baal ein großes Opfer zu bringen. Wen man vermissen wird, der soll nicht leben! Aber Jehu tat es aus List, um die Diener Baals auszurotten.

Llamadme pues luego á todos los profetas de Baal, á todos sus siervos, y á todos sus sacerdotes; que no falte uno, porque tengo un gran sacrifico para Baal; cualquiera que faltare, no vivirá. Esto hacía Jehú con astucia, para destruir á los que honraban á Baal.

Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.

Now therefore call to me all the prophets of Baal, all of his worshipers, and all of his priests. Let no one be absent, for I have a great sacrifice to Baal. Whoever is absent, he shall not live.” But Jehu did deceptively, intending to destroy the worshipers of Baal.

Und Jehu sprach: Heiligt dem Baal ein Fest! Und sie ließen ein solches ausrufen.

Y dijo Jehú: Santificad un día solemne á Baal. Y ellos convocaron.

And Jehu said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed it.

Jehu said, “Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal!” So they proclaimed it.

Jehu sandte auch †Boten in ganz Israel und ließ alle Diener Baals kommen, also daß niemand übrigblieb, der nicht gekommen wäre. Und sie kamen in das Haus Baals, so daß das Haus Baals voll ward, von einem Ende bis zum andern.

Y envió Jehú por todo Israel, y vinieron todos los siervos de Baal, que no faltó ninguno que no viniese. Y entraron en el templo de Baal, y el templo de Baal se llenó de cabo á cabo.

And Jehu sent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that came not. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was full from one end to another.

Jehu sent through all Israel; and all the worshipers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that didn’t come. They came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was filled from one end to another.

Da sprach er zu dem, der über das Kleiderhaus verordnet war: Bringe die Kleider aller Diener Baals heraus! Und er brachte ihre Kleider heraus.

Entonces dijo al que tenía el cargo de las vestiduras: Saca vestiduras para todos lo siervos de Baal. Y él les sacó vestimentas.

And he said unto him that was over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forth vestments.

He said to him who kept the wardrobe, “Bring out robes for all the worshipers of Baal!” So he brought robes out to them.

Und Jehu ging mit Jonadab, dem Sohne Rechabs, in das Haus Baals und sprach zu den Dienern Baals: Forschet nach und sehet zu, daß hier unter euch nicht jemand von den Dienern des HERRN sei, sondern ausschließlich Diener des Baal!

Y entró Jehú con Jonadab hijo de Rechâb en el templo de Baal, y dijo á los siervos de Baal: Mirad y ved que por dicha no haya aquí entre vosotros alguno de los siervos de Jehová, sino solos los siervos de Baal.

And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.

Jehu went with Jehonadab the son of Rechab into the house of Baal. Then he said to the worshipers of Baal, “Search, and see that none of the servants of the LORD are here with you, but only the worshipers of Baal.”

Und als sie hineinkamen, Opfer und Brandopfer darzubringen, bestellte Jehu draußen achtzig Mann und sprach: Wenn jemand einen von den Männern entrinnen läßt, die ich in eure Hand gebe, so soll sein Leben für dessen Leben haften!

Y como ellos entraron para hacer sacrificios y holocaustos, Jehú puso fuera ochenta hombres, y díjoles: Cualquiera que dejare vivo alguno de aquellos hombres que yo he puesto en vuestras manos, su vida será por la del otro.

And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.

So they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed for himself eighty men outside, and said, “If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escape, he who lets him go, his life shall be for the life of him.”

Als man nun die Brandopfer vollendet hatte, sprach Jehu zu den Trabanten und Rittern: Geht hinein und erschlaget sie, daß niemand davonkomme! Und sie erschlugen sie mit der Schärfe des Schwertes. Und die Trabanten und Ritter warfen sie weg und gingen in den Hinterraum des Baalstempels

Y después que acabaron ellos de hacer el holocausto, Jehú dijo á los de su guardia y á los capitanes: Entrad, y matadlos; que no escape ninguno. Y los hirieron á cuchillo: y dejáronlos tendidos los de la guardia y los capitanes, y fueron hasta la ciudad del templo de Baal.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.

As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, “Go in and kill them! Let no one escape.” So they struck them with the edge of the sword. The guard and the captains threw the bodies out, and went to the inner shrine of the house of Baal.

und brachten die Bildsäulen des Baalstempels heraus und verbrannten sie und rissen die Bildsäule des Baal nieder.

Y sacaron las estatuas de la casa de Baal, y quemáronlas.

And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them.

They brought out the pillars that were in the house of Baal and burned them.

Sie zerstörten auch den Baalstempel und machten Kloaken daraus, †die sind dort bis auf diesen Tag.

Y quebraron la estatua de Baal, y derribaron la casa de Baal, é hiciéronla necesaria, hasta hoy.

And they brake down the image of Baal, and brake down the house of Baal, and made it a draught house unto this day.

They broke down the pillar of Baal, and broke down the house of Baal, and made it a latrine, to this day.

Also vertilgte Jehu den Baal aus Israel.

Así extinguió Jehú á Baal de Israel.

Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.

Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.

Aber von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel zur Sünde verführt hatte, ließ Jehu nicht, nämlich von den goldenen Kälbern zu Bethel und zu Dan.

Con todo eso Jehú no se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, que hizo pecar á Israel; á saber, de en pos de los becerros de oro que estaban en Beth-el y en Dan.

Howbeit from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after them, to wit, the golden calves that were in Beth-el, and that were in Dan.

However, Jehu didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin—the golden calves that were in Bethel and that were in Dan.

Doch sprach der HERR zu Jehu: Weil du dich wohl gehalten und getan hast, was recht ist in meinen Augen, weil du am Hause Ahabs getan hast nach allem, was in meinem Herzen war, so sollen Nachkommen von dir bis in das vierte Glied auf dem Throne Israels sitzen!

Y Jehová dijo á Jehú: Por cuanto has hecho bien ejecutando lo recto delante de mis ojos, é hiciste á la casa de Achâb conforme á todo lo que estaba en mi corazón, tus hijos se sentarán sobre el trono de Israel hasta la cuarta generación.

And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.

The LORD said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in executing that which is right in my eyes, and have done to Ahab’s house according to all that was in my heart, your descendants shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

Aber Jehu achtete nicht darauf, von ganzem Herzen nach dem Gesetze des HERRN, des Gottes Israels, zu wandeln; denn er wich nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, wodurch er Israel zur Sünde verführt hatte.

Mas Jehú no cuidó de andar en la ley de Jehová Dios de Israel con todo su corazón, ni se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam, el que había hecho pecar á Israel.

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin.

Zu jener Zeit fing der HERR an, Israel zu schmälern; denn Hasael schlug sie an allen Grenzen Israels: östlich vom Jordan,

En aquellos días comenzó Jehová á talar en Israel: é hiriólos Hazael en todos los términos de Israel,

In those days the LORD began to cut Israel short: and Hazael smote them in all the coasts of Israel;

In those days the LORD began to cut away parts of Israel; and Hazael struck them in all the borders of Israel

das ganze Land Gilead, die Gaditer, Rubeniter und Manassiter, von Aroer an, das am Bache Arnon liegt, Gilead und Basan.

Desde el Jordán al nacimiento del sol, toda la tierra de Galaad, de Gad, de Rubén, y de Manasés, desde Aroer que está junto al arroyo de Arnón, á Galaad y á Basán.

From Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.

Was aber mehr von Jehu zu sagen ist, und alles, was er getan hat, und alle seine Macht, ist das nicht geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige von Israel?

Lo demás de los hechos de Jehú, y todas las cosas que hizo, y toda su valentía, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Und Jehu legte sich zu seinen Vätern; und sie begruben ihn zu Samaria. Und Joahas, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.

Y durmió Jehú con sus padres, y sepultáronlo en Samaria: y reinó en su lugar Joachâz su hijo.

And Jehu slept with his fathers: and they buried him in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his stead.

Die Zeit aber, die Jehu über Israel zu Samaria regiert hat, beträgt achtundzwanzig Jahre.

El tiempo que reinó Jehú sobre Israel en Samaria, fué veintiocho años.

And the time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty and eight years.
