18Entonces Joás, rey de Judá, tomó todos los objetos sagrados que habían dedicado sus antepasados Josafat, Joram y Ocozías, reyes de Judá, junto con sus propias ofrendas y todo el oro que había en los tesoros del templo de Yahvé y del palacio real, y se lo envió a Hazael, rey de Siria. Con esto, Hazael se retiró de Jerusalén.
