Joas war beim Regierungsantritt sieben Jahre alt;

EN el séptimo año de Jehú comenzó á reinar Joas, y reinó cuarenta años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Sibia, de Beer-seba.

In the seventh year of Jehu Jehoash began to reign; and forty years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Zibiah of Beer-sheba.

im siebten Jahre Jehus war er König geworden, vierzig Jahre regierte er in Jerusalem; seine Mutter hieß Zibja und stammte aus Beerseba.

Y Joas hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová todo el tiempo que le dirigió el sacerdote Joiada.

And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest instructed him.

Y Joas dijo á los sacerdotes: Todo el dinero de las santificaciones que se suele traer á la casa de Jehová, el dinero de los que pasan en cuenta, el dinero por las personas, cada cual según su tasa, y todo el dinero que cada uno de su propia voluntad mete en la casa de Jehová,

And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of the LORD, even the money of every one that passeth the account, the money that every man is set at, and all the money that cometh into any man’s heart to bring into the house of the LORD,

Joas ließ aber den Priestern die Weisung zugehen: »Alles Geld, das als Weihegabe in den Tempel des HERRN gebracht wird: das Geld, das jemand durch Schätzung auferlegt wird, ferner alles Geld, das jemand aus freien Stücken in den Tempel des HERRN bringt,

Recíbanlo los sacerdotes, cada uno de sus familiares, y reparen los portillos del templo donde quiera que se hallare abertura.

Let the priests take it to them, every man of his acquaintance: and let them repair the breaches of the house, wheresoever any breach shall be found.

das sollen die Priester in Empfang nehmen, ein jeder von seinen Bekannten; aber sie sollen hinwieder davon alles ausbessern lassen, was am Tempel baufällig ist, wo immer ein Schaden daran sichtbar wird.«

Pero el año veintitrés del rey Joas, no habían aún reparado los sacerdotes las aberturas del templo.

ließ der König Joas den Priester Jojada und die übrigen Priester zu sich kommen und sagte zu ihnen: »Warum habt ihr die Schäden am Tempel nicht ausgebessert? Fortan sollt ihr kein Geld mehr von euren Bekannten in Empfang nehmen, sondern sollt es für die Ausbesserung der Schäden am Tempel abliefern.«

Y los sacerdotes consintieron en no tomar más dinero del pueblo, ni tener cargo de reparar las aberturas del templo.

And the priests consented to receive no more money of the people, neither to repair the breaches of the house.

Die Priester erklärten sich damit einverstanden, daß sie kein Geld mehr vom Volk in Empfang nehmen sollten, aber auch für die Ausbesserung der Schäden am Tempel nicht mehr zu sorgen brauchten.

Darauf nahm der Priester Jojada einen Kasten, ließ ein Loch in seinen Deckel bohren und ihn neben dem Malstein rechts vom Eingang in den Tempel des HERRN aufstellen; dahinein mußten die Priester, die an der Schwelle Wache hielten, alles Geld tun, das im Tempel des HERRN abgeliefert wurde.

Dann händigten sie das abgezählte Geld den Werkführern ein, denen die Ausführung der Arbeiten am Tempel des HERRN übertragen war, und diese zahlten es an die Zimmerleute und an die übrigen Handwerker aus, die am Tempel des HERRN arbeiteten,

Y los albañiles y canteros; y en comprar la madera y piedra de cantería para reparar las aberturas de la casa de Jehová; y en todo lo que se gastaba en la casa para repararla.

Mas de aquel dinero que se traía á la casa de Jehová, no se hacían tazas de plata, ni salterios, ni jofainas, ni trompetas; ni ningún otro vaso de oro ni de plata se hacía para el templo de Jehová:

Doch ließ man für den Tempel des HERRN keine silbernen Becken, Messer, Sprengschalen, Trompeten, kurz keinerlei goldene und silberne Geräte von dem Gelde anfertigen, das im Tempel des HERRN einging,

Dabei verlangte man von den Männern, denen man das Geld einhändigte, damit sie es an die Arbeiter auszahlten, keine Rechnungslegung, sondern sie handelten auf Treu und Glauben.

The trespass money and sin money was not brought into the house of the LORD: it was the priests’.

Das Geld von Schuld- und Sündopfern aber wurde nicht an den Tempel des HERRN abgeliefert, sondern es gehörte den Priestern.

Por lo que tomó Joas rey de Judá todas las ofrendas que había dedicado Josaphat, y Joram y Ochôzías sus padres, reyes de Judá, y las que él había dedicado, y todo el oro que se halló en los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y en la casa del rey, y enviólo á Hazael rey de Siria: y él se partió de Jerusalem.

And Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, and Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and in the king’s house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.

Jehoash king of Judah took all the holy things that Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own holy things, and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the LORD’s house, and of the king’s house, and sent it to Hazael king of Syria; and he went away from Jerusalem.

nahm Joas, der König von Juda, alle Weihgeschenke, die von seinen Vorfahren, den judäischen Königen Josaphat, Joram und Ahasja herrührten, sowie seine eigenen Weihgeschenke, ferner alles Gold, das sich in den Schatzkammern des Tempels des HERRN und des königlichen Palastes vorfand, und sandte es an Hasael, den König von Syrien. Da stand dieser von dem Zuge gegen Jerusalem ab.

und zwar waren es seine Diener Josachar, der Sohn Simeaths, und Josabad, der Sohn Somers, die ihn ermordeten. Man begrub ihn dann bei seinen Vätern in der Davidsstadt, und sein Sohn Amazja folgte ihm in der Regierung nach.
