L'ANNO ventesimoterzo di Gioas, figliuolo di Achazia, re di Giuda, Gioachaz, figliuolo di Iehu, cominciò a regnare sopra Israele, in Samaria; e regnò diciassette anni.

EN el año veintitrés de Joas hijo de Ochôzías, rey de Judá, comenzó á reinar Joachâz hijo de Jehú sobre Israel en Samaria; y reinó diecisiete años.

In the three and twentieth year of Joash the son of Ahaziah king of Judah Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned seventeen years.

E fece quello che dispiace al Signore, e seguitò i peccati di Geroboamo, figliuolo di Nebat, co' quali egli avea fatto peccare Israele; egli non se ne rivolse.

E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, y siguió los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, el que hizo pecar á Israel; y no se apartó de ellos.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.

Laonde l'ira del Signore si accese contro ad Israele; ed egli li diede nelle mani di Hazael, re di Siria, e nelle mani di Ben-hadad, figliuolo di Hazael, tutto quel tempo.

Y encendióse el furor de Jehová contra Israel, y entrególos en mano de Hazael rey de Siria, y en mano de Ben-adad hijo de Hazael, por largo tiempo.

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael, all their days.

Ma Gioachaz pregò il Signore; e il Signore l'esaudì; perciocchè egli vide l'oppressione d'Israele; conciossiachè il re di Siria li oppressasse.

Mas Joachâz oró á la faz de Jehová, y Jehová lo oyó: porque miró la aflicción de Israel, pues el rey de Siria los afligía.

And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.

Il Signore adunque diede un liberatore ad Israele; ed essi uscirono di sotto alla mano de' Siri; ed i figliuoli d'Israele abitarono nelle loro stanze, come per addietro.

(Y dió Jehová salvador á Israel, y salieron de bajo la mano de los Siros; y habitaron los hijos de Israel en sus estancias, como antes.

Dopo che il Signore non ebbe lasciata di resto a Gioachaz altra gente, che cinquanta cavalieri, e dieci carri, e diecimila pedoni; conciossiachè il re di Siria avesse distrutti gl'Israeliti, e tritandoli, li avesse ridotti ad essere come polvere.

Porque no le había quedado gente á Joachâz, sino cincuenta hombres de á caballo, y diez carros, y diez mil hombres de á pié; pues el rey de Siria los había destruído, y los había puesto como polvo para hollar.

Neither did he leave of the people to Jehoahaz but fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen; for the king of Syria had destroyed them, and had made them like the dust by threshing.

E Gioachaz giacque coi suoi padri, e fu seppellito in Samaria; e Gioas, suo figliuolo, regnò in luogo suo.

E fece quello che dispiace al Signore; egli non si rivolse da alcuno de' peccati di Geroboamo, figliuolo di Nebat, coi quali egli avea fatto peccare Israele; egli camminò in essi.

E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová: no se apartó de todos los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, el que hizo pecar á Israel; en ellos anduvo.

E Gioas giacque co' suoi padri, e Geroboamo sedette sopra il suo trono; e Gioas fu seppellito in Samaria coi re d'Israele.

OR Eliseo infermò d'una sua infermità, della quale eziandio egli morì. E Gioas, re d'Israele, scese, e pianse sopra la faccia di esso, e disse: Padre mio, padre mio, carro d'Israele, e sua cavalleria.

Estaba Eliseo enfermo de aquella su enfermedad de que murió. Y descendió á él Joas rey de Israel, y llorando delante de él, dijo: ¡Padre mío, padre mío, carro de Israel y su gente de á caballo!

Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.

Now Elisha became sick with the illness of which he died; and Joash the king of Israel came down to him, and wept over him, and said, “My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!”

Y dijo Eliseo al rey de Israel: Pon tu mano sobre el arco. Y puso él su mano sobre el arco. Entonces puso Eliseo sus manos sobre las manos del rey,

And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king’s hands.

He said to the king of Israel, “Put your hand on the bow;” and he put his hand on it. Elisha laid his hands on the king’s hands.

Apri la finestra verso Oriente. E quando egli l'ebbe aperta, Eliseo gli disse: Tira. Ed egli tirò. Ed Eliseo disse: Questa è la saetta della vittoria del Signore; la saetta della vittoria contro a' Siri; e tu percoterai i Siri in Afec, fino ad una intiera sconfitta.

Y dijo: Abre la ventana de hacia el oriente. Y como él la abrió dijo Eliseo: Tira. Y tirando él, dijo Eliseo: Saeta de salud de Jehová, y saeta de salud contra Siria: porque herirás á los Siros en Aphec, hasta consumirlos.

And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the LORD’s deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.

He said, “Open the window eastward;” and he opened it. Then Elisha said, “Shoot!” and he shot. He said, “The LORD’s arrow of victory, even the arrow of victory over Syria; for you will strike the Syrians in Aphek until you have consumed them.”

Poi disse: Prendi le saette. E quando le ebbe prese, egli disse al re d'Israele: Percuoti contro alla terra. Ed egli percosse tre volte; poi si arrestò.

Y tornóle á decir: Toma las saetas. Y luego que el rey de Israel las hubo tomado, díjole: Hiere la tierra. Y él hirió tres veces, y cesó.

And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.

He said, “Take the arrows;” and he took them. He said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground;” and he struck three times, and stopped.

E l'uomo di Dio si adirò gravemente contro a lui, e gli disse: Ei si conveniva percuotere cinque o sei volte; allora tu avresti percossi i Siri fino ad una intiera distruzione; ma ora, tu non percoterai i Siri se non tre volte.

Entonces el varón de Dios, enojado con él, le dijo: A herir cinco ó seis veces, herirías á Siria, hasta no quedar ninguno: empero ahora tres veces herirás á Siria.

And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.

The man of God was angry with him, and said, “You should have struck five or six times. Then you would have struck Syria until you had consumed it, but now you will strike Syria just three times.”

Ora Eliseo morì, e fu seppellito. Ed in su la fine dell'anno certe schiere di Moabiti fecero una correria nel paese.

Y murió Eliseo, y sepultáronlo. Entrado el año vinieron partidas de Moabitas á la tierra.

Ed avvenne che, come certi seppellivano un uomo, ecco, videro quelle schiere; e gittarono colui nella sepoltura di Eliseo; e colui andò a toccar l'ossa di Eliseo, e tornò in vita, e si rizzò in piè.

Y aconteció que al sepultar unos un hombre, súbitamente vieron una partida, y arrojaron al hombre en el sepulcro de Eliseo: y cuando llegó á tocar el muerto los huesos de Eliseo, revivió, y levantóse sobre sus pies.

And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

As they were burying a man, behold, they saw a band of raiders; and they threw the man into Elisha’s tomb. As soon as the man touched Elisha’s bones, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

Avendo adunque Hazael, re di Siria, oppressati gl'Israeliti tutto il tempo di Gioachaz,

Hazael pues, rey de Siria, afligió á Israel todo el tiempo de Joachâz.

il Signore fece loro grazia, ed ebbe pietà di loro, e si rivolse verso loro, per amor del suo patto con Abrahamo, Isacco e Giacobbe; e non volle distruggerli, e non li scacciò dal suo cospetto fino a questo tempo.

Mas Jehová tuvo misericordia de ellos, y compadecióse de ellos, y mirólos, por amor de su pacto con Abraham, Isaac y Jacob; y no quiso destruirlos ni echarlos de delante de sí hasta ahora.

And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

Ed Hazael, re di Siria, morì; e Ben-hadad, suo figliuolo, regnò in luogo suo.

E Gioas, figliuolo di Gioachaz, riprese di mano di Ben-hadad, figliuolo di Hazael, le città che Hazael avea prese a Gioachaz, suo padre, in guerra. Gioas lo percosse tre volte, e ricoverò le città d'Israele.

Y volvió Joas hijo de Joachâz, y tomó de mano de Ben-adad hijo de Hazael, las ciudades que él había tomado de mano de Joachâz su padre en guerra. Tres veces lo batió Joas, y restituyó las ciudades á Israel.

And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael the cities, which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.
