Im dreiundzwanzigsten Regierungsjahre des Joas, des Sohnes des Königs Ahasja von Juda, wurde Joahas, der Sohn Jehus, König über Israel und regierte siebzehn Jahre in Samaria.

EN el año veintitrés de Joas hijo de Ochôzías, rey de Judá, comenzó á reinar Joachâz hijo de Jehú sobre Israel en Samaria; y reinó diecisiete años.

In the three and twentieth year of Joash the son of Ahaziah king of Judah Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned seventeen years.

Er tat, was dem HERRN mißfiel, und wandelte in den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, der Israel zur Sünde verführt hatte; er ließ nicht davon ab.

E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, y siguió los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, el que hizo pecar á Israel; y no se apartó de ellos.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.

Da entbrannte der Zorn des HERRN gegen Israel, so daß er sie in die Gewalt Hasaels, des Königs von Syrien, und in die Gewalt Benhadads, des Sohnes Hasaels, die ganze Zeit hindurch fallen ließ.

Y encendióse el furor de Jehová contra Israel, y entrególos en mano de Hazael rey de Siria, y en mano de Ben-adad hijo de Hazael, por largo tiempo.

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael, all their days.

Als Joahas dann aber den HERRN mit Gebeten anging, erhörte ihn der HERR; denn er sah die Bedrängnis der Israeliten, weil der syrische König sie hart bedrückte.

Mas Joachâz oró á la faz de Jehová, y Jehová lo oyó: porque miró la aflicción de Israel, pues el rey de Siria los afligía.

And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.

Daher ließ der HERR den Israeliten einen Retter erstehen, so daß sie sich von der Herrschaft der Syrer frei machten und die Israeliten wieder ruhig in ihren Zelten wohnen konnten wie ehedem.

(Y dió Jehová salvador á Israel, y salieron de bajo la mano de los Siros; y habitaron los hijos de Israel en sus estancias, como antes.

Dennoch gaben sie die Sünde des Hauses Jerobeams nicht auf, wozu dieser die Israeliten verführt hatte: sie hielten daran fest; sogar die Bildsäule der Aschera blieb in Samaria stehen.

Er (der HERR) hatte dem Joahas an Kriegsvolk nichts übriggelassen als fünfzig Reiter, zehn Kriegswagen und zehntausend Mann Fußvolk; denn der syrische König hatte sie vernichtet und sie dem Staub gleichgemacht, den man zertritt.

Porque no le había quedado gente á Joachâz, sino cincuenta hombres de á caballo, y diez carros, y diez mil hombres de á pié; pues el rey de Siria los había destruído, y los había puesto como polvo para hollar.

Als Joahas sich dann zu seinen Vätern gelegt und man ihn in Samaria begraben hatte, folgte ihm sein Sohn Joas in der Regierung nach.

Er tat, was dem HERRN mißfiel; er ließ in keinem Stück von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, ab, der Israel zur Sünde verführt hatte; nein, er hielt daran fest. –

Als Joas sich dann zu seinen Vätern gelegt und Jerobeam als sein Nachfolger den Thron bestiegen hatte, wurde Joas in Samaria bei den Königen von Israel begraben.

Als Elisa aber an der Krankheit darniederlag, an der er sterben sollte, kam Joas, der König von Israel, zu ihm hinab, weinte über ihm und rief aus: »Mein Vater, mein Vater! Du Wagen Israels und seine Reiter!«

Estaba Eliseo enfermo de aquella su enfermedad de que murió. Y descendió á él Joas rey de Israel, y llorando delante de él, dijo: ¡Padre mío, padre mío, carro de Israel y su gente de á caballo!

Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.

sagte er zum König von Israel: »Lege deine Hand auf den Bogen!« Als er es getan hatte, legte Elisa seine Hände auf die Hände des Königs

Y dijo Eliseo al rey de Israel: Pon tu mano sobre el arco. Y puso él su mano sobre el arco. Entonces puso Eliseo sus manos sobre las manos del rey,

And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king’s hands.

He said to the king of Israel, “Put your hand on the bow;” and he put his hand on it. Elisha laid his hands on the king’s hands.

und sagte: »Öffne das Fenster nach Osten zu!« Nachdem er es geöffnet hatte, forderte Elisa ihn auf zu schießen. Da schoß er, (Elisa) aber rief aus: »Ein Siegespfeil vom HERRN ist es, und zwar ein Siegespfeil gegen die Syrer! So wirst du die Syrer bei Aphek bis zur Vernichtung schlagen!«

Y dijo: Abre la ventana de hacia el oriente. Y como él la abrió dijo Eliseo: Tira. Y tirando él, dijo Eliseo: Saeta de salud de Jehová, y saeta de salud contra Siria: porque herirás á los Siros en Aphec, hasta consumirlos.

And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the LORD’s deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.

He said, “Open the window eastward;” and he opened it. Then Elisha said, “Shoot!” and he shot. He said, “The LORD’s arrow of victory, even the arrow of victory over Syria; for you will strike the Syrians in Aphek until you have consumed them.”

Dann fuhr er fort: »Nimm die Pfeile!« Als er sie genommen hatte, sagte er zum König von Israel: »Schlage damit auf die Erde!« Da schlug er dreimal und hielt dann inne.

Y tornóle á decir: Toma las saetas. Y luego que el rey de Israel las hubo tomado, díjole: Hiere la tierra. Y él hirió tres veces, y cesó.

And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.

He said, “Take the arrows;” and he took them. He said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground;” and he struck three times, and stopped.

Da wurde der Gottesmann unwillig über ihn und sagte: »Du hättest fünf- oder sechsmal schlagen sollen, dann hättest du die Syrer bis zur Vernichtung geschlagen; nun aber wirst du die Syrer nur dreimal schlagen!«

Entonces el varón de Dios, enojado con él, le dijo: A herir cinco ó seis veces, herirías á Siria, hasta no quedar ninguno: empero ahora tres veces herirás á Siria.

And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.

The man of God was angry with him, and said, “You should have struck five or six times. Then you would have struck Syria until you had consumed it, but now you will strike Syria just three times.”

Als Elisa dann gestorben war, begrub man ihn. Es pflegten aber moabitische Streifscharen Jahr für Jahr ins Land einzufallen.

Y murió Eliseo, y sepultáronlo. Entrado el año vinieron partidas de Moabitas á la tierra.

Nun begab es sich, als man gerade einen Mann begraben wollte, daß man plötzlich eine Streifschar herankommen sah; da warf man den Mann in das Grab Elisas und ging weg. Sobald aber der Mann hineinkam und mit den Gebeinen Elisas in Berührung kam, wurde er wieder lebendig und stellte sich aufrecht auf seine Füße.

Y aconteció que al sepultar unos un hombre, súbitamente vieron una partida, y arrojaron al hombre en el sepulcro de Eliseo: y cuando llegó á tocar el muerto los huesos de Eliseo, revivió, y levantóse sobre sus pies.

And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

As they were burying a man, behold, they saw a band of raiders; and they threw the man into Elisha’s tomb. As soon as the man touched Elisha’s bones, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

Der König Hasael von Syrien aber hatte die Israeliten während der ganzen Regierung des Joahas bedrängt;

Hazael pues, rey de Siria, afligió á Israel todo el tiempo de Joachâz.

doch nun erwies der HERR ihnen Gnade, erbarmte sich ihrer und wandte sich ihnen wieder zu wegen seines Bundes mit Abraham, Isaak und Jakob; denn er wollte sie noch nicht zugrunde gehen lassen, hatte sie auch bis jetzt noch nicht von seinem Angesicht verworfen.

Mas Jehová tuvo misericordia de ellos, y compadecióse de ellos, y mirólos, por amor de su pacto con Abraham, Isaac y Jacob; y no quiso destruirlos ni echarlos de delante de sí hasta ahora.

And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

Als daher Hasael, der König von Syrien, gestorben und sein Sohn Benhadad ihm in der Regierung nachgefolgt war,

entriß Joas, der Sohn des Joahas, dem Benhadad, dem Sohne Hasaels, die Städte wieder, die dieser seinem Vater Joahas im Kriege entrissen hatte. Dreimal schlug ihn Joas und gewann so die israelitischen Städte zurück.

Y volvió Joas hijo de Joachâz, y tomó de mano de Ben-adad hijo de Hazael, las ciudades que él había tomado de mano de Joachâz su padre en guerra. Tres veces lo batió Joas, y restituyó las ciudades á Israel.

And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael the cities, which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.
