Amasías también derrotó a diez mil edomitas en el Valle de la Sal. En esa guerra capturó la ciudad de Sela y la llamó Jocteel, nombre que conserva hasta hoy.

Este hirió asimismo diez mil Idumeos en el valle de las Salinas, y tomó á Sela por guerra, y llamóla Jocteel, hasta hoy.
