Im zweiten Jahre von Joasch, dem Sohne des Jehoachas, König von Israel, ward Amazjahu König, der Sohn des Joasch, des Königs von Judah.

EN el año segundo de Joas hijo de Joachâz rey de Israel, comenzó á reinar Amasías hijo de Joas rey de Judá.

In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.

In the second year of Joash, son of Joahaz, king of Israel, Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah began to reign.

Er war fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt, als er König wurde, und regierte neunundzwanzig Jahre in Jerusalem. Und der Name seiner Mutter war Jehoaddan aus Jerusalem.

Cuando comenzó á reinar era de veinticinco años, y veintinueve años reinó en Jerusalem: el nombre de su madre fué Joaddan, de Jerusalem.

He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

Und er tat, was recht war in den Augen Jehovahs, nur nicht wie David, sein Vater, nach allem, was sein Vater Joasch getan hatte, tat er.

Y él hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, aunque no como David su padre: hizo conforme á todas las cosas que había hecho Joas su padre.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did.

Nur die Opferhöhen taten sie nicht weg. Das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Opferhöhen.

Howbeit the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.

Und es geschah, als das Königtum bestärkt war in seiner Hand, da schlug er seine Knechte, die den König, seinen Vater, geschlagen hatten.

And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father.

Aber die Söhne derer, die ihn geschlagen, tötete er nicht, wie geschrieben ist im Buche des Gesetzes Moses, das Jehovah geboten und gesagt: Nicht sollen die Väter um der Söhne willen getötet werden, noch sollen die Söhne um der Väter willen getötet werden; sondern jeder Mann soll um seiner Sünde willen getötet werden.

Mas no mató á los hijos de los que le mataron, conforme á lo que está escrito en el libro de la ley de Moisés, donde Jehová mandó, diciendo: No matarán á los padres por los hijos, ni á los hijos por los padres: mas cada uno morirá por su pecado.

Er schlug von Edom im Salztal zehntausend, und nahm im Streite Sela ein, und nannte dessen Namen Joktheel bis auf diesen Tag.

And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

Du hast Edom geschlagen und dein Herz erhebt dich. Laß dich verherrlichen und sitze in deinem Hause; und warum willst du Böses anheben und fallen, du und Judah mit dir?

Ciertamente has herido á Edom, y tu corazón te ha envanecido: gloríate pues, mas estáte en tu casa. ¿Y por qué te entrometerás en un mal, para que caigas tú, y Judá contigo?

Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

You have indeed struck Edom, and your heart has lifted you up. Enjoy the glory of it, and stay at home; for why should you meddle to your harm, that you fall, even you, and Judah with you?”

Aber Amazjah hörte nicht; und Jehoasch, König von Israel, zog hinauf, und sie sahen sich von Angesicht, er und Amazjahu, König von Judah, in Beth-Schemesch, das zu Judah gehört.

Mas Amasías no dió oídos; por lo que subió Joas rey de Israel, y viéronse de rostro él y Amasías rey de Judá, en Beth-semes, que es de Judá.

But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth-shemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

Und Judah ward vor Israel geschlagen, und sie flohen, jeder Mann in sein Zelt.

And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
