Ele praticou o que era mau aos olhos de Yahweh, assim como seus pais haviam praticado. Ele não se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, que havia conduzido Israel a pecar.

E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, como habían hecho sus padres: no se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, el que hizo pecar á Israel.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
