1Im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahre Jerobeams, des Königs von Israel, wurde Asarja König, der Sohn Amazjas, des Königs von Juda.
2Sechzehn Jahre war er alt, als er König wurde, und regierte zweiundfünfzig Jahre zu Jerusalem; und der Name seiner Mutter war Jekolja, von Jerusalem.
3Und er tat, was recht war in den Augen Jehovas, nach allem, was sein Vater Amazja getan hatte.
4Doch die Höhen wichen nicht; das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen.
5Und Jehova schlug den König, und er wurde aussätzig bis zum Tage seines Todes; und er wohnte in einem Krankenhause. Jotham aber, der Sohn des Königs, war über das Haus und richtete das Volk des Landes.

8Im achtunddreißigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Sekarja, der Sohn Jerobeams, König über Israel zu Samaria und regierte sechs Monate.
9Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas, so wie seine Väter getan hatten; er wich nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel sündigen gemacht hatte.
10Und Sallum, der Sohn Jabes', machte eine Verschwörung wider ihn und erschlug ihn vor dem Volke und tötete ihn. Und er ward König an seiner Statt.

12Das ist das Wort Jehovas, welches er zu Jehu geredet hatte, indem er sprach: Dir sollen Söhne des vierten Gliedes auf dem Throne Israels sitzen. Und es geschah also.
13Sallum, der Sohn Jabes', wurde König im neununddreißigsten Jahre Ussijas, des Königs von Juda; und er regierte einen Monat lang zu Samaria.
14Da zog Menachem, der Sohn Gadis, von Tirza herauf und kam nach Samaria; und er erschlug Sallum, den Sohn Jabes', zu Samaria und tötete ihn. Und er ward König an seiner Statt.

16Damals schlug Menachem Tiphsach und alles, was darin war, und sein Gebiet, von Tirza aus: weil man ihm nicht aufgetan hatte, so schlug er es; alle seine Schwangeren schlitzte er auf.
17Im neununddreißigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Menachem, der Sohn Gadis, König über Israel und regierte zehn Jahre zu Samaria.
18Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas; er wich nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel sündigen gemacht hatte, alle seine Tage.
19Und Pul, der König von Assyrien, kam wider das Land; und Menachem gab Pul tausend Talente Silber, damit seine Hand mit ihm wäre, um das Königtum in seiner Hand zu befestigen.
20Und Menachem legte die Zahlung des Geldes auf Israel, auf alle vermögenden Leute, um es dem König von Assyrien zu geben: fünfzig Sekel Silber auf jeden Mann. Da kehrte der König von Assyrien um und blieb nicht daselbst im Lande.

23Im fünfzigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Pekachja, der Sohn Menachems, König über Israel zu Samaria und regierte zwei Jahre.
24Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas; er wich nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel sündigen gemacht hatte.
25Und Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, sein Anführer, machte eine Verschwörung wider ihn und erschlug ihn zu Samaria in der Burg des Königshauses, mit Argob und mit Arjeh; und mit ihm waren fünfzig Mann von den Söhnen der Gileaditer. Und er tötete ihn und ward König an seiner Statt.

27Im zweiundfünfzigsten Jahre Asarjas, des Königs von Juda, wurde Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, König über Israel zu Samaria und regierte zwanzig Jahre.
28Und er tat, was böse war in den Augen Jehovas; er wich nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, wodurch er Israel sündigen gemacht hatte.
29In den Tagen Pekachs, des Königs von Israel, kam Tiglath-Pileser, der König von Assyrien, und er nahm Ijjon ein und Abel-Beth-Maaka und Janoach und Kedes und Hazor und Gilead und Galiläa, das ganze Land Naphtali, und führte die Bewohner nach Assyrien hinweg.
30Und Hosea, der Sohn Elas, machte eine Verschwörung wider Pekach, den Sohn Remaljas, und erschlug ihn und tötete ihn. Und er ward König an seiner Statt, im zwanzigsten Jahre Jothams, des Sohnes Ussijas.

32Im zweiten Jahre Pekachs, des Sohnes Remaljas, des Königs von Israel, wurde Jotham König, der Sohn Ussijas, des Königs von Juda.
33Fünfundzwanzig Jahre war er alt, als er König wurde, und er regierte sechzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem; und der Name seiner Mutter war Jeruscha, die Tochter Zadoks.
34Und er tat, was recht war in den Augen Jehovas; er tat nach allem, was sein Vater Ussija getan hatte.
35Doch die Höhen wichen nicht; das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen. Er baute das obere Tor des Hauses Jehovas.
36Und das Übrige der Geschichte Jothams und alles, was er getan hat, ist das nicht geschrieben in dem Buche der Chronika der Könige von Juda?
37In jenen Tagen begann Jehova, Rezin, den König von Syrien, und Pekach, den Sohn Remaljas, wider Juda zu senden.
38Und Jotham legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und er wurde begraben bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt seines Vaters David. (015:39) Und Ahas, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.

1EN el año veintisiete de Jeroboam, rey de Israel, comenzó á reinar Azarías hijo de Amasías rey de Judá.
2Cuando comenzó á reinar era de dieciséis años, y cincuenta y dos años reinó en Jerusalem; el nombre de su madre fué Jecolía, de Jerusalem.

1In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
2Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
3And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;
4Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.
5And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
6And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
7So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

16Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
17In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.
18And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
19And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
20And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

37In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

18He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight. He didn’t depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
19Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
