1Im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahr Jerobeams, des Königs Israels, ward König Asarja, der Sohn Amazjas, des Königs Juda's;
2und er war sechzehn Jahre alt, da er König ward, und regierte zweiundfünfzig Jahre zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Jecholja von Jerusalem.
3Und er tat, was dem HERRN wohl gefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Amazja,
4nur, daß sie die Höhen nicht abtaten; denn das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen.
5Der HERR aber plagte den König, daß er aussätzig war bis an seinen Tod, und wohnte in einem besonderen Hause. Jotham aber, des Königs Sohn, regierte das Haus und richtete das Volk im Lande.
6Was aber mehr von Asarja zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Juda's.
7Und Asarja entschlief mit seinen Vätern, und man begrub ihn bei seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids. Und sein Sohn Jotham ward König an seiner Statt.
8Im achtunddreißigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs Juda's, ward König Sacharja, der Sohn Jerobeams, über Israel zu Samaria sechs Monate;
9und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel, wie seine Väter getan hatten. Er ließ nicht ab von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte.
10Und Sallum, der Sohn des Jabes, machte einen Bund wider ihn und schlug ihn vor dem Volk und tötete ihn und ward König an seiner Statt.
11Was aber mehr von Sacharja zu sagen ist, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.
12Und das ist's, was der HERR zu Jehu geredet hatte: Dir sollen Kinder ins vierte Glied sitzen auf dem Stuhl Israels. Und ist also geschehen.
13Sallum aber, der Sohn des Jabes, ward König im neununddreißigsten Jahr Usias, des Königs in Juda, und regierte einen Monat zu Samaria.
14Denn Menahem, der Sohn Gadis, zog herauf von Thirza und kam gen Samaria und schlug Sallum, den Sohn des Jabes, zu Samaria und tötete ihn und ward König an seiner Statt.
15Was aber mehr von Sallum zu sagen ist und seinen Bund, den er anrichtete, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.
16Dazumal schlug Menahem Tiphsah und alle, die darin waren, und ihr Gebiet von Thirza aus, darum daß sie ihn nicht wollten einlassen, und schlug alle ihre Schwangeren und zerriß sie.
17Im neununddreißigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs Juda's, ward König Menahem, der Sohn Gadis, über Israel zu Samaria;
18und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel. Er ließ sein Leben lang nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte.
19Und es kam Phul, der König von Assyrien, ins Land. Und Menahem gab dem Phul tausend Zentner Silber, daß er's mit ihm hielte und befestigte ihm das Königreich.
20Und Menahem setzte ein Geld in Israel auf die Reichsten, fünfzig Silberlinge auf einen jeglichen Mann, daß er's dem König von Assyrien gäbe. Also zog der König von Assyrien wieder heim und blieb nicht im Lande.
21Was aber mehr von Menahem zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.
22Und Menahem entschlief mit seinen Vätern, und Pekahja, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.
23Im fünfzigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs in Juda, ward König Pekahja, der Sohn Menahems, über Israel zu Samaria, zwei Jahre;
24und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel; denn er ließ nicht von der Sünde Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte.
25Und es machte Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, sein Ritter, einen Bund wider ihn und schlug ihn zu Samaria im Palast des Königshauses samt Argob und Arje, und mit ihm waren fünfzig Mann von den Kindern Gileads, und tötete ihn und ward König an seiner Statt.
26Was aber mehr von Pekahja zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.
27Im zweiundfünfzigsten Jahr Asarjas, des Königs Juda's, ward König Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, über Israel zu Samaria zwanzig Jahre;
28und er tat, was dem HERRN übel gefiel; denn er ließ nicht von den Sünden Jerobeams, des Sohnes Nebats, der Israel sündigen machte.
29Zu den Zeiten Pekahs, des Königs Israels, kam Thiglath-Pileser, der König von Assyrien, und nahm Ijon, Abel-Beth-Maacha, Janoah, Kedes, Hazor, Gilead und Galiläa, das ganze Land Naphthali, und führte sie weg nach Assyrien.
30Und Hosea, der Sohn Elas, machte einen Bund wider Pekah, den Sohn Remaljas, und schlug ihn tot und ward König an seiner Statt im zwanzigsten Jahr Jothams, des Sohnes Usias.
31Was aber mehr von Pekah zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.
32Im zweiten Jahr Pekahs, des Sohnes Remaljas, des Königs über Israel, ward König Jotham, der Sohn Usias, des Königs in Juda.
33Er war fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt, da er König ward, und regierte sechzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Jerusa, eine Tochter Zadoks.
34Und er tat, was dem HERRN wohl gefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Usia getan hatte,
35nur, daß sie die Höhen nicht abtaten; denn das Volk opferte und räucherte noch auf den Höhen. Er baute das obere Tor am Hause des HERRN.
36Was aber mehr von Jotham zu sagen ist und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Juda's.
37Zu der Zeit hob der HERR an, zu senden gen Juda Rezin, den König von Syrien und Pekah, den Sohn Remaljas.
38Und Jotham entschlief mit seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids, seines Vaters. Und Ahas, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.

1EN el año veintisiete de Jeroboam, rey de Israel, comenzó á reinar Azarías hijo de Amasías rey de Judá.
2Cuando comenzó á reinar era de dieciséis años, y cincuenta y dos años reinó en Jerusalem; el nombre de su madre fué Jecolía, de Jerusalem.
3E hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, conforme á todas las cosas que su padre Amasías había hecho.
4Con todo eso los altos no se quitaron; que el pueblo sacrificaba aún y quemaba perfumes en los altos.
5Mas Jehová hirió al rey con lepra, y fué leproso hasta el día de su muerte, y habitó en casa separada, y Jotham hijo del rey tenía el cargo del palacio, gobernando al pueblo de la tierra.

7Y durmió Azarías con sus padres, y sepultáronlo con sus padres en la ciudad de David: y reinó en su lugar Jotham su hijo.

10Contra él se conjuró Sallum hijo de Jabes, y lo hirió en presencia de su pueblo, y matólo, y reinó en su lugar.

12Y esta fué la palabra de Jehová que había hablado á Jehú, diciendo: Tus hijos hasta la cuarta generación se sentarán en el trono de Israel. Y fué así.
13Sallum hijo de Jabes comenzó á reinar en el año treinta y nueve de Uzzía rey de Judá, y reinó el tiempo de un mes en Samaria;
14Pues subió Manahem hijo de Gadi, de Thirsa, y vino á Samaria, é hirió á Sallum hijo de Jabes en Samaria, y matólo, y reinó en su lugar.

16Entonces hirió Manahem á Tiphsa, y á todos los que estaban en ella, y también sus términos desde Thirsa; é hirióla porque no le habían abierto; y abrió á todas sus preñadas.
17En el año treinta y nueve de Azarías rey de Judá, reinó Manahem hijo de Gadi sobre Israel diez años, en Samaria.
18E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová: no se apartó en todo su tiempo de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, el que hizo pecar á Israel.
19Y vino Phul rey de Asiria á la tierra; y dió Manahem á Phul mil talentos de plata porque le ayudara á confirmarse en el reino.
20E impuso Manahem este dinero sobre Israel, sobre todos los poderosos y opulentos: de cada uno cincuenta siclos de plata, para dar al rey de Asiria, y el rey de Asiria se volvió, y no se detuvo allí en la tierra.

22Y durmió Manahem con sus padres, y reinó en su lugar Pekaía su hijo.
23En el año cincuenta de Azarías rey de Judá, reinó Pekaía hijo de Manahem sobre Israel en Samaria, dos años.
24E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová: no se apartó de los pecados de Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, el que hizo pecar á Israel.
25Y conspiró contra él Peka hijo de Remalías, capitán suyo, é hiriólo en Samaria, en el palacio de la casa real, en compañía de Argob y de Ariph, y con cincuenta hombres de los hijos de los Galaaditas; y matólo, y reinó en su lugar.

32En el segundo año de Peka hijo de Remalías rey de Israel, comenzó á reinar Jotham hijo de Uzzía rey de Judá.
33Cuando comenzó á reinar era de veinticinco años, y reinó dieciséis años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fué Jerusa hija de Sadoc.
34Y él hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová; hizo conforme á todas las cosas que había hecho su padre Uzzía.
35Con todo eso los altos no fueron quitados; que el pueblo sacrificaba aún, y quemaba perfumes en los altos. Edificó él la puerta más alta de la casa de Jehová.

37En aquel tiempo comenzó Jehová á enviar contra Judá á Resín rey de Siria, y á Peka hijo de Remalías.
38Y durmió Jotham con sus padres, y fué sepultado con sus padres en la ciudad de David su padre: y reinó en su lugar Achâz su hijo.

1In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
2Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
3And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;
4Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.
5And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
6And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
7So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
8In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.
9And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

12This was the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.
13Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.
14For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
15And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
16Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
17In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.
18And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
19And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
20And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.
21And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
22And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

35Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.

37In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.
38And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

16Then Menahem attacked Tiphsah and all who were in it and its border areas, from Tirzah. He attacked it because they didn’t open their gates to him, and he ripped up all their women who were with child.
17In the thirty ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel for ten years in Samaria.
18He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight. He didn’t depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
19Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
